Oh sweet baby cheeses.... Celebrity survivor was a frigging mess...

If they get legitimate champions... it May work... but why fix it if it ain't broke?

We have already had a few pro athletes/olympians in the casts....
I expect they have been inundated with similar applicants and would like to pick a few more champs - thus this format.
They couldn't cast too many previously and I bet there are lots more from all fields that are more high profile.

You know what Aussies are like, COMPETITIVE, retired athletes - what else are they doing, I hope some ex cricketers and tennis players do it.
Imagine if somebody like Gillie, or McGrath applied. Woohoo
Lay down Sally should apply:)....in the ordinary human class
We could have a few from rehab

Panic.
The programming department needs a rebuild. They should have aired Survivor after The Block, not during, built up a following then knock the crap out of the other networks. Stop chasing and start leading.

No, you're a champion of not letting others have the last post in a thread, or in a section of posts if they've called you out.

Baby on board: Australian Survivor couple Samantha 'Sam' Gash and Mark Wales have revealed they are expecting their first child together

'It's definitely a big surprise, but we are delighted,' shared Mark, 37, a former Australian Army special operations commander.

'We may not have won on Survivor, but we came away with a much bigger prize,' Sam, 33, gushed.

The lovebirds, who live in a 'peaceful country home' in the Dandenongs, joked how Sam took three home pregnancy tests before visiting a doctor to confirm the baby.

The former corporate lawyer admitted she didn't expect the tests to be positive, 'but sometimes the universe just takes you where you need to be'.

She acknowledged her morning sickness had subsided and her cravings for 'gherkins and hot chips with vinegar and tomato sauce' were kicking in.

The twosome formed an alliance on Australian Survivor and Sam explained their 'friendship turned into a more romantic relationship' once their season ended.

The World Vision ambassador fawned over her partner, joking he has been 'indulging' in comfort foods with her and nurturing her as her baby bump grows.

'He is absolutely amazing, I couldn't have anyone more supportive,' she offered.

The expectant parents said they 'don't mind whether it's a boy or girl'.

Guess thatbmeans it is open to winners of RTV shows, and Uni prizes, and weird stuff - eg Aussies are champs at skipping, also an Aussie in Melbourne has won best pizza in the world, and my cousin just won an international mooting comp.
Michelle, first female to win Melb Cup should do this, or wouldn't she be a great Bachelorette? If she is single.

Well I just hope whatever their specialty is, it's not "promo model" or "social influencer". Not RTV has-beens. I hope they have some people who are in science, medicine, education, human rights, etc... i.e. people who actually make a difference. They are the real champions.

i don't think Tully would be able to do survivor and the bachelorette all in the one year. it would be too much, even for her.

FAQs:

How will I know if I have made it to the next round of auditions?
The Casting Team will only contact you should your initial application be successful.

What type of contestant are you looking for?
There is no one type of contestant who will be chosen. We are looking for a wide variety of people from different backgrounds, who will bring different elements of energy and excitement to the contest.

I can’t afford to take 9 weeks off work. If I am chosen to be a contestant, will I be compensated for my time?
The winner will be awarded an appealing cash prize. Whilst you are on location, you will receive a basic fee.

Do I need to have extreme survival training to participate?
No, it is not a requirement, however, it certainly won’t hurt to have those skills if chosen.

Do I need to be a super athlete to participate?
Absolutely not, but you do need to be in excellent physical and mental health.

Will I be able to contact my family whilst away on location?
No – while the contestants are stranded on the island, there will be no contact with the outside world.

You can apply here.

Watching Bondi Rescue last night, I imagined a few of them would be rather good doing this, possibly too good.
Good guys to watch, some of the younger gromets would be less dominant maybe???

Fab isn't it
Needs to be seen by all, should post it in politics thread too I guess
