A chunk of the money they would've made would've been from ticket sales to the live shows. Of course not a lot, but I reckon a fair whack. From memory they were like $60 a head? Or $30? I don't even remember. But it held quite a lot of people, back when it was on Ten anyway

I reckon Endemol Shine has just gone for it knowing that a network will pick it up. Unless a network has already picked it up and it's tightly under wraps. I still have a feeling that it's 10, equally happy if it's 7, but will cry if it's 9.
I did suspect that 10 were considering it because of Gretel being on The Masked Singer, too. But also read on the Daily Mail "Channel 10 turned down the opportunity to air Big Brother because chief content officer Beverley McGarvey is 'not a fan of the show'." However, just because she doesn't...
