Rate Mel Tracinas performance so far

She still doesn’t have a personality other than the default faux enthusiasm excited schtick.

I wish they would stop using that shot filmed from the gap in between the two sections of the audience, the one looking upwards towards the stage. That’s a HORRIBLE camera shot. They use it every time.
 
Mel’s been good this season, but she’d really benefit from longer segments on eviction nights and during nominations. The problem isn’t her, it’s the setup.

With a bigger budget and more crew, they could have producers focused only on the live shows instead of the same people juggling the daily episodes and the live stuff at the same time. When the team isn’t stretched, the host gets more room to actually lead the night. Mel could do a lot more with more. Give her a bit more time and a proper team behind her, and she’d lift the whole thing.
 
Promising to start but she’s struggling big time now. Production isn’t helping… She still has potential but it makes you appreciate just how good Gretel was at controlling a crowd/evictees watching Kyle/Jackie-O, Sonia, and Mel in the role since.

The way Mel just stood there whilst Holly took the mic and took over the hosting duties… Gretel would’ve bitch slapped Holly for even having the audacity to think about doing such a thing. The sheer panic on Mel’s face when that kid ran up onto the stage and Holly hugged her. It really wasn’t a good sign when Holly rambled on and on with her answers and Mel just stood there not knowing how to regain control. Gretel had the confidence, intelligence, talent and charisma to own those situations and keep the evicted housemate on track whilst simultaneously keeping the audience in check. Gretel also had the experience to do so though. Mel deserves time to get to that same level.
 
Terrible form by Mel as the season has progressed, especially tonight. An accurate representation of how progressively bad each episode and live show has got as the weeks have gone on.

She’s even stopped adlibbing and reading a terrible script that makes Sonia look half decent.

Lord help us at next week’s inevitable mess of a Finale.

Yeah she’s really not doing any better of a job than Jackie-O and Sonia did at this point. The sole difference in Mel’s favour is the others were clearly doing it for a pay cheque and had zero interest in the show itself nor did they need the show to succeed as they already had other options. Mel needs this to really kickstart her career.
