I hate being a conspiracy theorist but what if the caller was someone from production telling Ed that they were saving Mia as she had the second lowest number of save votes so it looked like one person was able to choose who left but it was just the person with the second lowest number of save votes. So they got to pull of a “twist” but also go with who the general public wanted

Very interesting the caller was from QLD when it hasn't aired there yet.. did they send the 20 callers the sydney stream to watch? Very confusing..

They wouldn't have needed to see the show to fulfil the task. Production would simply inform them that they were one of the 20 selected and then once they became the choosen person, tell them which two housemates they need to pick from.
