He revealed to everyone that he has been gambling since 18 and got into massive debt, he then got hooked on alcohol and I think possibly drugs was mentioned. He said he revealed it to his family 3 years ago and has nearly recovered with help of his family. He now views money as nothing and said he costantly gives his mum nearly all his paychecks to giveback

Yeah, seems like he isnt a typical drunk but used it as an escape and not an addict. Unlike Holly who says she goes to AA and drinks like nothing in the house and has been "drunk" a few times so far
