BB 2025 season ratings thread

BB has given 10 a major boost in the main demos as well as its streaming numbers, they are currently in 2nd place behind Channel 9 in the 25-54 demo and leading in 16-39s in metro areas! Expect a longer season next year, probably in its original spot of April-May, June at the latest....

my concern is, is it only topping the demos cause there’s no other major competition on at the moment? which don’t get me wrong, is still a win. im just not sure how it would hold up in another time of the year.

Raw numbers dropped sub-500K, however BBAU won the 2 key demographics again last night, we just won out over Nine's wildlife doco by a thousand.

almost a 600k average in overnights is a success for ten. It’s rating exactly on par with all other reality tv offerings. It will be interesting to see how high it jumps up with adjustments. I suspect a lot of people are watching via catch up online.
I can't imagine that this isn't considered a huge success for their TenPlay engagement and social media engagements even if the views were lower on traditional tv.

I hope they try to capitalize on it next year, perhaps with a paid "Season Pass" livestream that gives you more control over which camera you want to watch.

I doubt this will ever be a thing, considering they're already battling enough with censorship and privacy stuff. But definitely a paid version without ads should be considered.

Based on just overnight ratings results - Big Brother Sunday was the top program of last week in 25-54 with Monday to Thursday episodes all making the top 10 in that demographic.

Can't read that in dark mode, have to highlight it as it's dark grey on charcoal background.

Ratings for tonight’s eviction ep will be interesting. It’s going up against the Finales of both The Golden Bachelor and MKR on Nine and Seven respectively. Doesn’t feel like good chances for BB to hit well, but also means we might see an increase in viewership from this week onward.

I feel like if it hits 600k or above and stays competitive in the main demos that would be a good result.

The engagement strategy they have executed with the show so far has been exceptional - the livestream, TikTok, etc. It really attests to the fact that a live production’s success on modern FTA TV can no longer be determined by ratings alone. Next year, they should add the stream to Paramount+ so it’s ad free and creates exposure to the platform more broadly. The stream should return to TikTok again - that has created a whole legion of new fans. I don’t watch much other FTA TV anymore but 10 have a really unique way to drive additional revenue, as from my perspective there’s no other reality TV show that is produced and aired concurrently.
