That's not what Holly was saying. She was thinking that people were upset because they don't have someone to be intimate with.

When it was pointed out that the issue was her and Colin being away from others for hours, she denied it and claimed that she talked to everyone all the time.

Jane's issue was kissing in the middle of the room in front of people. Holly denied that they were kissing at all.
