BB did say they were considering streaming FNL separately, meaning the season could be condensed into one weekend. But they were going to time it out to see.I'm going to hate watch this season. Well, dipping in and out and skipping FNL and nominations as usual. With the exception of S1 and S3, these streams actually been the first time I have rewatched the old seasons.

Yeah it makes little difference to me because I skip through them, and in fact it's kind useful to help catch up on what you miss overnight if they leave them in.BB did say they were considering streaming FNL separately
In my opinion, if anything, the blatant manipulation by production to get Terri to win is even more obvious when the episodes are watched back-to-back. So I look forward to you reporting back…I’m also curious to see if my perspective on Terri will change.
I had a Topfield PVR in Sydney, and it revolutionised my TV watching experience by being able to hit record, wait 20-30 minutes and then start watching the show and skipping through the ads until you caught up to real time. That PVR was my most prized possession. I'm pretty sure I didn't have it until after BB had ended its run on Ten unfortunately though. But being able to watch shows in near real-time, ad-free was like a gift from dog. So it's natural for me to watch these streams the same way.Timmy saying in a previous thread that you you can just rewind it to catch up
I couldn't care less about her politics. I began to dislike her for a really different reason: After rewatching this season a few years ago I thought she was a suck-up to the popular housemates like Rory and Bridgit. There was even this 'chameleon effect' in her as she began to mimic Bridgit later in the series so she gets "accepted" by them (even though they couldn't stand her). She also began to look down upon Travis, since he wasn't the popular person in the house and the group did belittle him often. I totally despise this behaviour - imitating the popular group, whilst you also degrade the person that they target.I’m also curious to see if my perspective on Terri will change. There have been a few housemates I have liked on these streams that I never particularly liked previously, but surely Terri will not be among them. I am going in with an open mind.
To me that analogy is more like the Kris Noble era as I do think in general that what was done in ‘08 was an honest but clearly failed attempt at a refresh. I also think you can tell that some of the gimmicks were a result of crisis meetings where production were basically told to throw whatever at the wall and make it stick… or else! This marathon should be fun to hate watch.
The episode of South Park where the boys claim to have watched George Lucas and Steven Spielberg rape Indiana Jones (by producing and releasing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) comes to mind...![]()

Same and I don’t blame them for trying something different. They should have acted quicker on the things that didn’t work though. But I feel like they couldn’t even figure out why things were not working.I do think in general that what was done in ‘08 was an honest but clearly failed attempt at a refresh
I don’t remember the all the details but swapping evictions/nominations was to accommodate Kyle & Jackie O’s schedule as they were still hosting their radio show full time in addition to BB. I’m also not certain production had much say in them being brought on board and were likely left working backwards as a result. It also kind of explains why they were slow to revert back to the original format.Same and I don’t blame them for trying something different. Before they switched back to the traditional eviction process, they started to read out the eviction numbers very slowly. And I’ve always wondered if they genuinely thought that after 7 years, people were not able to keep up with the phone numbers anymore… when in fact the main issue was that people don’t have any incentive to vote until after FNL when they would reveal the bottom 3 in the strategy room.
Didn't they have Carson go in within the first two weeks? Screams them leaning further into what Kris Noble was doing than leaning away from it.I do think in general that what was done in ‘08 was an honest but clearly failed attempt at a refresh
