It’s still definitely entertaining. But this series apart from only a few lacked in those warm personalities that the earlier seasons had.

Yes I am pre-emptively pretty excited for this now, those men almost certainly thought they were all well loved on the outside as well as thinking they ran the house. Rewatching it I was horrified at the ongoing misogyny and while it is a relic of a (thankfully) by gone era I am pleased to see they all slowly but steadily came undone.

Just a shame one of them slipped through the cracks…

Even at the time the blokey boofiness was obvious and overwhelming. Ugh. I wonder if Carmel did anything to try and dissuade them from casting this lot.

I really wasn’t sure if it was perceived that way at the time, I did watch it but don’t recall. I’m glad even then people hated this.

It would have been a great arc if Tim could have beaten all of the gross jocks, or even if a woman had done it with Vesna.

And yes interesting with Carmel. I noticed she was almost phased out altogether once it moved away from a “social experiment” type of show but surely she was still involved behind the scenes with casting and pre-production. Kind of hard to imagine her doing more than providing support during filming with the way the show went.

Oh, the ick factor was high and obvious. Gretel managed to laugh it off for the cameras but I have no doubt had that happened in a bar she'd have told him to fuck off in no uncertain terms.
 
Just dropping by, Iirc think they ended up having Glenn and Michelle face off in one of those Ready Steady Cook specials LOL. And the Bowling alley in the corner of the house that was revealed after like a week or two.

I Remember that divider in the bedroom during the school task where they are up to, didn't it remain up and they used one side (or both sides? there was that little window in the middle haha) of it for the rest of the time as the numbers got smaller?
