I’m liking Mat now. My dad suicided when I was 10. How could he and Mat’s dad do it? He was 48, sad to say my 48th year was tricky. I’m fine now. Lots of help.

I had it on mute so I missed his story; will have to revisit it. My father committed suicide too when he was 49, nearly 8 years ago to the day in fact. Fortunately for me I had a good ten years more than you to spend with my dad. I realised that understanding the 'why' lessened the hurt and mystery of the 'how'. Glad you're good now though.

It's more common than most people think, one of my closest friends' father took his life. And I've lost two of my closest friends this way. 8 people every day in Australia.
