A bit over the top? Of the Asians you know, how many eat dog? Being presumptuous, I'll say probably none. Dog eating in Asia, which is done only by a minority, was only introduced during WW2 when govts encouraged it to stop people starving. But I get jokes, she meant no harm, but it is hurtful to all the dog loving Asians watching

Years ago there was an NZ political chat show (kinda like The Project, but about politics) which ended the credits with "Conviviality is assisted by Glengarry Wines". :D It worked for them.

FWIW people still eat dog here in Cambodia. Probably not in the city but you never know. The dog at the shelter I visited had no back legs, because it was rescued from people who had started hacking them off to eat *while it was still alive*.
