US 2016 Presidential Election

I'm not sure how accurate this is but it wouldn't surprise me. Mostly white men and sadly, women.

I think people are doing glooming for Trump victory. I hope that he will be a great president. That unlike Barack Obama who was very divisive, that Trump will bring us together.

Obama was the greatest president.

Lets see what happens. Hillary obviously overestimated herself and underestimated him.

The difference that interests me the most is the voting difference between white and black women. I wonder why it was so different.

Yep, was thinking last night, Americans have elected someone as loony as Latham, thankfully our political system is more robust and weeded him out when he went super loony.

And I wake up today with the hope balloon burst, and back to remembering America is nuts, always has been.
They elected George W Bush, twice, so I should have seen this coming.

They have moments of sanity, Obama years had improved the PR hugely. Now backwards.

You can see from the voting breakdown above that Trump is already yugely divisive.
 
The nastiness and vitriol is alive and well on facebook and the worst people for it are Trump supporters. In all honesty, over the course of the campaigning, pro Trump posts (I won't say Republicans as many of them aren't his supporters) against Clinton were far and away more nasty etc than most of the Democrat posts against Trump. It's going to be an interesting time over the next few years.
 
There is no country on earth with an American diaspora population larger than that country’s diaspora in the United States… except for Australia. Apparently Americans like Aussies more than the Aussies like us.

They sneak in, but their food outlets are popping up more and more.

America has had plenty of these thick headed presidents, but usually the party takes up the slack, as in Bush & Reagan days, the party and vice seem to run the place when they have a dumbo in.
But can Trump work with the party that hates him?

I can't stand that we have to endure that foul face further, and worse - that whole sucky family and his bimbo wife will be shoved at us.
Isn't that the biggest joke, first lady is his what 4th?

When 9/11 happened, I was watching something on US tv (I was in SF) and one Hollywood person said that all of a sudden America realised that the rest of the world really didn't like them. I think after this election, unforunately that may hit home again once they start reading opinions and comments from around the world. Not from leaders, but from everyday citizens.

I was actually thinking Abbott.

Especially the way they both used fear and anger to win their elections.
