Makes me vomit in my mouth that stuff like this happens ....... I wonder if I bought some cheap Chocolates and injected them with something and threw them at the gate or was able to come up with some pouches of poison, to implant on the underside, and were let off if someone was not suppose to lift them...

I best leave it karma and not my angry imgination at this point - I don't want to sound (c)reepy.........

Yes, leave it to the powers that be. Life has a funny way of repaying you back for what you've done. They're not worth it. They're still assholes & you have every right to be angry.

It's a verb we are using, not a preposition. It SOUNDS the same if you say it quickly but is totally different word construction. Do you feel you have an automatic right to correct people with their usage of words? I used to think you were alright, but at the moment, you are showing your true colours as another fool.

I cant remember but I think it was actually someone else (Tuttle not Jordan?) who wrote it and it was also someone else who originally commented (Witty, I think). I was just adding an explanation because I happen to have a particular interest in language (studying language overseas). Some people clearly dont like being corrected, though. Which - as a foreign language student who is forever being corrected and happy about it so that I can improve - I personally kind of don't get. But... there you have it. So ist das Leben. C'est la vie. Such is life. ete etc.

Well..... I guess my comment on that is yes and no. It wasnt actually me who originally commented, I just offered an explanation in a follow up post. And yes I guess I feel I have as much right to comment on that as anyone else has to comment on anything else.

Actually, the way I perceived it was you trying to justify his foolish behaviour.
 
For the record: at this point in the english language the correct usage of the past tense with a modal verb is could/should/would have and NOT could/should/would of. I stand by that. It does grate when someone uses it incorrectly but I have given up being a grammar Nazi (see posts from several years ago IF you can be bothered) but occasionally if someone ELSE comments first - I will (still) add my two cents worth.

Well, I think it is quite pathetic for someone to comment on grammar on the internet. Just my two cents worth on it all.
