Ok, I need advice, my son turns 21 in June and I want to have a dinner, family and some friends. 20 in total. I have found a nice Italian restaurant and for pizza pasta salads and desert plus beer wine and soft drinks $1100.
Now I could go somewhere else, where it is cheaper, but no desert and no drinks so I would have to add that on. Is $1100 too much? I have no idea, it works out at $55 a head

Honestly that sounds pretty decent to me especially if it includes a healthy bar tab. You'd easily pay that or more if you went out for a decent dinner, drinks, and dessert*.
