I think it's interesting that mental activity associated with IQ lends itself more to paranoia and self awareness than to intelligence. High IQ is a better predictor of self harm and sectioning than constructive achievement.

Those metal thermometers with the really pointy ends that you use when heating up milk when making coffee? I would rather get two of those, put them in a naked flame until the tips are red hot then insert one in each ear causing 3rd degree burns on my ear drums while they rupture, sever any nerve endings that are there causing permanent hearing loss than listen to Tina Arena
