I was not in David camp at all at the beginning, in fact I thought he just as vapid as the rest of them this year. ( my earlier posts validate this btw).

I warmed to him, when they showed airtime of HIS interactions with people, rather than people making fun of him.. which btw.. he took pretty well on the chin. He has opened up more and as such, his confidence has grown. Perhaps you don't "get" his humour but I do. It's a Irish thing...dry..witty and and sometimes, sarcastic. Frankly, I find him to be an absolute delight to watch and interact. He's so animated too..his eyes and expressions tell their own story in an oh so subtle way. Very expressive, rather than dead eyes. (crying is NOT a show of REAL emotion..you CAN fake a tear but you cannot feign a sparkle)

I don't believe David has ever claimed he's an alpha male as per your definition or at all actually. Has he? I reckon it's cool he has NOT defined himself in such a way. Your definition looks good on paper, but they are usually complete and utter wankstains in practice... emphasis on the wankstain..

The way you expressed this, your detail of him, it was very beautiful. How I see him too but reading your description of it, I loved David all over again. Thank you for that extra sparkle of a post
