Oh my god, one of my disgusting typical straight boy cousins had his birthday at one of those once. It's a miracle I managed to restrain myself from pelting everyone with golf balls.

Also anyone here ever watched the HBO show Rome? I am LOVING it right now, especially that actor who play Brutus...

Beach is most certainly best, but I don't think you can count it as swimming unless you actually go out into the water a decent way.

As for Golf, now that IS the most boring sport known to man, closely followed by baseball, which is hideous to watch. Although, that was a sport I forgot, I also played softball for a few years, really did love that, even though the uniforms are as dinky as they come.

Also, any form of motor racing (which doesn't even count cause I don't think it's a 'sport') are just the worst. Luckily they're mostly on pay TV.

Hmm well I generally like to have my feet in the ground at all times, so really all I'm doing is standing in the water. A lilo in the pool is usually best.

I would never ever watch golf, my dad does these awful sounding golf holidays where he plays on famous ranges. I will never do that, but in happy to pretend to do a sport outdoors very occasionally.

I will occasionally play the second most boring sport though which is golf. I do inexplicably enjoy that.

My friends and I would go play golf just to ride around in the buggies.

My gf really tried to make me watch that show but it seemed way too boring for me even with the drama and T&A. I struggle when a show is not contemporary.

@Cornflake Girl all I can say is I'm jealous that you earned enough to pay for things like camp, all horse riding has ever done is drain me of money, albeit happily. Haha.

I believe that is the term, to me they are just but I can accept I'm the weirdo here as these shows are popular.

it was desperation... Raspberry picking over summer, and Apple picking over autumn only went so far! We were lucky to have a history of horses in our family, so could find well bred, but cheap horses... I'm your person for horse lineage when it comes to races and betting, it's been taught to me via the wisdom of generations.. ;-)

Literally the only reason I've ever even remotely considered the possibility of thinking about perhaps looking into a half day of golf. TV makes them look like such fun!
