Good morning Team!
I had every intention of watching the show, but crashed and burned by 8:30pm!
He given that it was Remembrance Day a couple of days ago, I thought I would share what happened to me yesterday with a patient.
I was assisting a French patient who has a #NOF get into the shower, and I noticed she had a very ugly faded primitive looking tattoo on her lower back. Given that she is in her 80's I thought she was a bit old for a tramp stamp, so I asked her about it. She then shared her story. During WWII, German troops had entered her small village. One evening a group of soldiers burst into her home, her baby brothers and 7 year old sister were shot, as were her mother and father, this woman as a young girl, then ran into the woods behind her home to get away, but was followed by three soldiers. They raped her, and when they were finished, two held her while the other scratched ink into her back with a needle, and left her broken and alone in the woods. She went on to live, to love, to have children and enjoy and extraordinary life. These are the people I am in the position to look after and nurse back to health. These are the people who give me perspective on a daily basis.

That's a pretty inspiring story (your patient).
It's what annoys me when you hear about nursing home patients who are being neglected. These are people with full and fascinating lives being treated as sub-par. I know not everywhere, but some and that's not right.
I haven't watched last night. I think it was Harry Potter tho.

Im greash, apart from the feeling of gagging/goober in my throat, but some pred will get rid of it, just need to get to dr, other than that, all so on track!! Everything getting back to the way it should be and I couldn't be happier, trying to mend bridges, get things settled so only way is forward!

Holiday - Tour parts of the US on a Harley.
