Well it's looking like it's properly dead and the repair Poole charge exorbitantly in 15 minute blocks, so it'll be a few days at least to just get a brand new one. I'd love to take all the dishes to my parents house and use their dishwasher, but I suppose that's not acceptable. But some people do it with laundry, is this really that different?

Really? Then, yes, please! You can do it for love but I'd seriously happily pay you.
I find doing dishes very therapeutic, haha. It's the one household chore I'm more than happy to do!
