Rebecca (sCat's better sister) on the live stage - how do you feel about the blatant manipulation?

But what about that conversation she had with Lawson after they kissed on the bed? It didn't sound like the conversation of a winner, it sounded like somebody who knew their days were numbered.

Also maybe her saying she thinks she can win was before all the stuff in the Sanctuary and bedroom? You never know with the editing.

FORMER Albury woman and 2014 Big Brother housemate Kate Law has an identical twin sister on the Border, just don’t expect to see them both on the show.

There are no tricks up Big Brother’s sleeve to introduce Rebecca Rice (nee Mullavey) who is living her life as a radiographer in Albury.

Kate, 31, grew up on the Border and attended Albury High School before receiving a degree in accounting and landing a job with a firm in Melbourne.

She worked as an accountant for four years before having a change of heart and is now a midwife in Melbourne.

As a big fan of the show, Mrs Rice admitted it was “weird” seeing her twin — also known as Cat — on television.

“She hasn’t done anything to embarrass herself; she’s representing Albury well,” Mrs Rice said.

Kate was married for seven years before separating.

“She applied for the show because she wanted to take a risk and do something exciting,” Mrs Rice said.

“I am hoping people on the Border will get behind her and vote to keep her on the show.”

Border residents may also recognise former Lavington netballer and Murray High student, Sandra Nixon.

The 30-year-old now lives in Wagga.

She is a well-known softballer with Kooringal and manages Wagga’s Bonds store.

The season has been running for two weeks and both face eviction tonight at 8.40pm on the WIN Network.

The winner will be announced on November 26.

So this article was posted only two weeks in to the season, so Rebecca is not adverse to a bit of publicity. I don't get this "married for seven years" stuff we keep hearing. I thought I saw wedding photos from 2011 or 12 or thereabouts.

Yeah you never know with the editing but I think it was after because they were all tired when she said it. Plus how confident she was when she walked up? Crazy Cat is gone and the storyline is stale. Too many others now with new HMs and the swap. I just don't think you're going to get what you're hoping for.
 
@Raphael she keeps bouncing around the question as we saw tonight when I think it was Lina and Richard put her on the spot. All she'll say is that they were "together" for 7-8 years. She won't answer when they got married when the HMs ask her. Together, together, together. No hooker... they're asking you WHEN you got married but she won't say

Crazy Cat is always there. Crazy Cat will be the next storyline. Cat wasn't that confident standing with the other four. She looked very unsure to me.

lol! If that helps you rock yourself to sleep then go for it. But wow, it's almost a bit scary that you can't see that that ship has sailed. One of the new HMs will be the next storyline over Cat and I can think of probably 30 other possibilities on top of that. It's not going to happen sweetpea but GL!!!

Did you see the article I posted from the border mail? Rebecca says she was married for 7 years. I thought cats said it too to the girls tonight that she was married for that long. I could be wrong though, it might have been together bit Rebecca has definitely said married.

On the stigma attached to divorce:
I hate telling people I was only married for a year. You find yourself trying to justify it just to meet people’s expectations. I know what I had and I know why it ended, and it ended for reasons that it had to. I’m not ashamed of it, but telling people can be embarrassing.

Then she told the boys she's not in contact with her ex any more.

She can't even keep that straight. Half of the time it's seven years, half the time it's eight. I'd she's not ashamed about it why is she embarrassed by it? She seems to invite people to ask her questions and then doesn't answer them.

She said she's been cheated on before and people took that and ran with it to mean it must've been with her ex husband. My guess is the reason why she "doesn't feel it's right to discuss what happened in their marriage without him here to give a reply" like she said is that she MAY have been cheated on but it wasn't by this guy. It was in her teens. And she cheated on her husband so that's why she gave such a dodgy answer in the kitchen that time about how "cheating isn't the worst thing you can do". Absolutely no one... seriously no one... would say that - and so nonchalantly! - if they'd finally married their love after that long if they'd been cheated on in their marriage to the guy who you'd been with for 7-8 years. Even ignoring all the Lawson shit, there's no bloody way.

I absolutely agree with you. When she said there was worse things than cheating I immediately thought she was trying to justify something, some past behaviour. I have always had this gut feeling that she cheated on her husband and she was using the not discussing it out of consideration for her husband as just a bullshit way of now having to own up to something she did. Her sister said she's not conniving or manipulative...she obviously didn't see the "oh I forgot I didn't put on any underwear". And then the "Good, this is going exactly how I planned!", as soon as Lawson walked out the door. You're right, they're both full of shit.

Well, if we have not been watching Cat embarrass herself, just what does she have to do? Yeah, her sister should just stop talking. BB should just invest in the therapy Cat will need once she leaves the house. Even her sister, and her phony words, can save her from what's headed her way
 
I was ok for Cat's sister to be on last night, because I was sure Cat would be evicted.

The fact that she was not, made me angry.

It is a totally unfair advantage, and we gain nothing. It was the most boring interview this year. I could have read the script in 30 seconds, I didn't need them to play it.

Oh, geeze. Plenty of people are 'together' for 20 years and then get married, or 'together' for their whole lives and never marry; or legally can't marry. Cat is embarrassed, I understand from what I've read of her, and from watching her when talking around the subject, that the formal legal 'romantic'part of it lasted so briefly. That's my reading.

I found the interview fascinating, as... twins! She looked and sounded so similar it was uncanny. Ha.
 
I think Rebecca did a good job of defending Cat without agreeing to her actions.

It must be difficult for a friend or family member to deal with negativity about their loved one. I know if I had a friend or family who was involved in cheating, I'd be extremely disappointed but still want to help and support them.
