Is sCat one of the worst housemates ever?

The worst housemate ever in the history of Australian Big Brother is Dean from 2005. Remember him, the meathead bully, who Tim Brunero stood up to and shot down, and then he got his ass evicted.
The runner up is Michael from 2006, the idiot who dared to take on Gretel Kileen live on the nominations show and got pasted.
In 3rd place is that idiot Merlin.
Cat is hardly the worst person ever, and Lawson is as much to blame as her for what has occured.
Lawson is not an evil person either.

from 2012-2014 I would say Cat is the worst female housemate
I just can't see her NOT beating anyone else in that category except maybe Tully, who had slightly more redeeming characteristics since she tried to hide hooking up with drew (slightly) yet Cat has NO SHAME.
Biggest bitch from Channel 9 'era' = Cat
Besides Caleb and Ed that were BORING I'd say personality wise Lawson would be the douchiest GUY housemate from 2012-2014

Yeah, I hate the way Cat has chased after someone in a relationship and she's certainly not the type of person I'd associate with however why she's copping more hate both online and from the other HMs than Lawson i'll never know. There seems to be this view pushed by Aisha that Cat is taking advantage of Lawson because of his age. That doesn't fly with me. 23 is certainly old enough to know not to cheat on your partner. With Lawson it's not so much the action but how he's responded to it that's bothered me. I understand that people make mistakes but there's only so many times you can see the bloke do shit like say he has no regrets or cry in the DR about his actions then immediately let Cat spoon him (when she actually asked him if he wanted to be left alone) before you're like "okay, this guy has done some terrible things and needs to be held accountable".
Not trying to defend her but the quote, "it's not cheating unless you get caught" is actually just her talking about board games.
Of course they don't mention that until the fourth paragraph.
This is my first year watching bbau and in the us it is clear that people will lie and cheat in order to win bbus. This year's winner was a police officer and he did a whole lot of lying and cheating to win the game. He's arguably one of the best bbus players ever.

It's somewhat ironic that Cat, being the worst female housemate in recent history, hooked up with Lawson, easily the douchiest male housemate in recent history. And both seemingly have no idea of this, she thinks she's some irresistible beauty, and he genuinely thinks he's cool and better than all the others. Wrong! It's only been once they revealed their true colours that you realise they are the worst housemates we've had for a while. Without his "magic" schtick I doubt Lawson wouldn't even have been on a shortlist for casting. We are definitely being punished by having these two inflicted on us. And we are missing out on so much of the others with the show being taken over by this never ending Clawson crap.

I'm currently indifferent to Cat after flip-flopping between liking her and disliking her throughout the series.
I personally don't think she's the worst housemate ever or anywhere near there. Not moral, possibly, but her relationship with Lawson does make her somewhat interesting.
I do feel a bit sorry for her. Yes, what she did was wrong- I can't argue against that. But the amount of hate towards her when she's not the one in a relationship is just way too much.

Well I like her but I know she's running on borrowed time

When this series started my impression was the Cat would be pleasant but boring, and that at her eviction the producers would struggle to put together a montage of her in the time in the house. How wrong I was!
Cat's relationship with Lawson has been so unexpected and so controversial. Love her or hate her Cat is one of the central characters of this series.

Cat isn't the worst HM ever. As others have mentioned other HM's that have been worst. Cat is actually quite boring. If it wasn't for the whole Clawson thing she would have disappeared into obscurity never to have been mentioned again - now everyone is talking about her.
Maybe that's what she wanted - but seeing how the whole Tully/Drew thing went you would have to ask why. Maybe she likes being able to play the femme fatale. Who knows. One thing is pretty certain though if Lawson can't handle what Jason said in his goodbye speech there is no way Cat and Lawson will be anything on the outside once they leave the BB House.

I personally think that stage five clinger applies more to crazy Cat than bunny boiler.
Bunny boiler. Just a bit. She's willing to damage the object of her affection in order to strengthen the relationship with him.
Thanks for the links. I was in danger of posting something completely arbitrary, but now I know for sure that my opinion on Cat's behaviour can be officially referenced and validated!

While I'm at it, standard disclaimer: Lawson's behaviour is worse

Much worse, but less interesting.

Wow! Such hate...I'm not sure why we feel we can assess whether someone has a psychological disorder or even make ethical evaluations based upon edited versions of characters on a tv show where we've seen maybe 2hours of this person. What I find interesting is looking at the different forums, there is definitely a harsher critique on the women characters than men. Could this be a symptom of deeper issues within a patriarchal society where misogyny is perpetuated by women and men? Just a thought...
You should ask our resident misogynist and patriarchal cheerleader @Connoisseur

They are both aware that what they are doing is wrong and that they will face some harsh criticism once they get out of the house.
Lawson and cat both suck as far as I'm concerned... But since this thread is based on cat...
I found it interesting when cats twin sister was on one of the live shows and said that cat needed to do something to be more noticed etc. anyone else remember that? Cat went from this classy person with so much logic to what we now see. Then there was the article featured in tv week I think where cats twin stated that lawson is the type of guy that cat goes for. Also that night where cat 'accidentally' dropped her dress, and to herself said something like she wanted this to happen...
Call it crazy, but I do find it all a little suspicious.
Regardless, I still find her and lawson to be one of the most selfish and despicable hms of all time

I've said this before and I'll say this again but this kind of 'controversy' is best suited and left to the likes of 'The Bachelor', it has no place in BB IMO.When this series started my impression was the Cat would be pleasant but boring, and that at her eviction the producers would struggle to put together a montage of her in the time in the house. I really could not give two flying f**** about watching cheating on a reality show, there are plenty of other shows that cater to that if that is someone's thing.
So Cat is still a fairly inconsequential and irrelevant hm in my eyes. And it's the same for any other hms who ONLY have unrequited love/cheating/showmance to hang their hat on for their BB experience and the subsequent footage aired of them on the show.

I don't think twins can communicate through telepathy. I also think Cat had started going after Lawson even before her sister had told Mike Goldman that Cat needed to do something interesting. I also think what we are seing now is the real Cat and that Cat was hiding her true self in the first week.[DOUBLEPOST=1414285234][/DOUBLEPOST]

This is much more than cheating now.
