I tend to like to get to the bottom of issues I have with people. I'd use the report/ignore buttons only as a last resort. :)

Not sure what I find more unbelievable:

People actually thinking that Skye is fat or people considering your IQ as a measure of anything, least of all a tool to assert superiority on a Big Brother discussion forum.

If you're referring to me, I brought up my IQ only because I was called a retard/moron. I wasn't asserting superiority, as I don't believe that I am superior to others based on my IQ; I was simply defending my intelligence from someone who was trying to insult it. Please don't just skim over my posts and then assume the worst.

I didn't skim over your post or assume the worst. I knew you posted it in response to being called a moron. I just thought it came across as full of yourself and superior. Everybody else reading the thread knew you weren't the moron in the argument so I didn't see the need for the "I have a higher IQ than you" bullshit. That just makes you look pretentious and ridiculous too. Just my opinion of course, so apologies if I offended you too much :)

Ok well that's your opinion but I don't think there's anything wrong with standing up for myself and that's all there is to it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with you standing up for yourself, nor do I think there's anything wrong with someone disagreeing with the way you went about it. Anyway we've both said our piece, and I apologise if I offended you too much. Take care :)

You haven't offended me but I think you might not have thought this through properly. If someone insults your intelligence and you want to defend yourself, it's not much use just saying "no I'm not retarded!" IQ is one measure of intelligence, so if you have a high IQ, I think it's reasonable to say that you are intelligent (or at least not stupid). You don't have to reply to this if you're done with this topic, but I just wanted to make this point.

You don't need to tell me your IQ to validate or prove your intelligence. I will see an example of it for myself when you construct and post your forum response.

Never try and prove yourself to people who don't matter.

Yeah, I get you. I guess I just don't see the point of it. I mean the person you're arguing with could just as easily respond to your "I have a higher IQ than you" comment saying they have an IQ of 180 and got accepted into Harvard. Doesn't make it true, thereby doesn't really prove intelligence. People can say whatever they want about themselves on here. If you feel the need to prove your intelligence to someone (not that I think you needed to in this discussion) then a well thought-out logical argument is probably going to get the point across more than "my IQ is higher than yours" - which nobody knows if that's even true...one because you're proving it and two there's less chance people will dismiss it thinking you're just full of yourself.

Just thought I'd let you know where I was coming from anyway. Happy I didn't offend.

Ok, point taken. I didn't mean to come across as being full of myself or anything - I was just defending myself. But I see now that I could have gone about it in a better way.

actually i am quite confrontational in real life. I would make good television however I would be voted out rather quickly I would think.
 
As a "neanderthal man" myself, I don't see any issues. After all, what is there to do in the house? Work out, swim, chat, go into the Diary Room so many times a day..... I'd get bored out of my skull (or at least would be looking for things to do).


Skye's a big eater. I'm sure it won't affect her too much.
