@Ayr My church is St Cecilia's ! Snap. Beautiful music choice for your mum and dad, by the way.

You are right Penny - I think that you are crazy. But the right kinda crazy. And I'm in the middle of a couple of very heavy days, so I need that crazy. Thanks for the song.
(preparing a funeral for a 33 year old father of 5 who was drowned in front of three of them when he was playing who can stay under the water for the longest in the local council pool. The pool is closed while an investigation is under way. Also one of my sweet little old ladies is dying of cancer in front of my eyes and we have been having service discussions. I love my job - but it is hard sometimes.)

Thankee, Vicar. It was an album I grew up with - I remember running around being a kid under the pool table during "Friday" night at home; still strikes the chord with me. But it's a smiley chord; happy memories.

I saw the pain in your post. My hubby's dad is a minister; I freely admit I have no faith; but I can see it in others, and understand that faith isn't a barrier to emotional pain. I hope your belief gives you the strength you need to fulfil your role; and that the general silliness of this thread isn't a barrier.

(and now: a pisstake of the Bonnie Tyler song I posted earlier)
