Agree. Yep friendship for me is about accepting each other for who they are. Have a bit of a giggle and can poke fun at one self. :)

That's such a good list! There isn't an immediately tangible quality that I use to identify friendship which is maybe how it can get so complicated, that list is so simple but honestly so effective, I really must keep a mental note of this.

I refuse to waste time on "complicated" and I put my needs first when it comes to love or friendship.

I don't care if you are friend or family, if you don't tick one of my L's, you're gone.

I had a very voilent and unpredictable childhood, which lacked a childs basic needs - love, laugher and learning. As an adult I refuse to spend quality time with anyone who doesn't provide me with at least one of those things.

Since I brought in my ruling, my life has never been more joyous or simple.

Side note, I know this is pathetic, but I love cleaning my home. I am a neat freak and I get such self satisfaction! I am like super organised. My clothes are even colour coded!!! Seriously!

Glad YOUR day was successful, unfortunately, mine was not! Mainly due to your above theory...I had specific targets in mind.

I am going to a wedding in Port Douglas in a couple of weeks...I have the outfit for the wedding BUT I also need an outfit for the pre-wedding dinner and après wedding brunch! Not to mention day to day clothing for 10 days in extreme humidity! Victorian clothing outlets don't seem to consider that. Inconsiderate and rude is all I can say!

Haha! I used to love cleaning my houses too and also got great satisfaction from it. But then I found with working full-time and looking after kids there wasn't enough time for me! So I employed a housekeeper...best thing I ever did. I am now semi-retired, kids grown up BUT I still have my housekeeper! I LOVE her! I'm also a neat freak and my wardrobe is "outfit" coded...as in, this goes with this, goes with this, goes with that.

It really makes so much sense. Obviously not everyone's needs are going to be the same, but it is mind-boggling how people (myself included) have friends who they don't like and don't enjoy the company of and basically don't benefit from in anyway. I know it's not always as simple as just ending a friendship, but it really should be. I've had periods of minimal friends and I've definitely been stuck in my share of toxic friendships, but finally now I do get that I don't have to be friends with anyone, so if there isn't something to be gained from willingly being in that persons company, then why bother?

I have this childhood friend who I have a very turbulent relationship with, we are such different people now and she drives me bonkers and I find her draining and she says she can't fully trust me from something when we were 11, but because I'd known her for so long it was hard to let go. But I have recently grasped that we both deserve much better than that from a friend so I am finally moving on and it is much better.
 
What became of Ms Chk Chk Boom I wonder? I seem to recall her being a fellow Northern Beaches bogan girl, which says it all really.

Oh bollocks to that.

Life is about judgment. My judgement is what keeps me safe and keeps me learning.

Be honest, if you are going to disagree with what someone is doing, you are going to judge them for doing it. To me that is a normal human response. It doesn't mean you have to end friendships or sever heads, it just means from their actions you came to the conclusion that they were behaving like a fuck knuckle, and there lies your judgment. I am in a constant state of judgment of everybody, including myself. To me it is healthy thinking.
