Katie Cupcake Appreciation

Katie is a bully and up herself for no good reason. She's a bogan who thinks she's a queen.

oh for SURE she's a bogan - she's a shire bogan. She definitely thinks she's the best too. I wouldn't call her a bully though, but I'm interested to see where you're coming from. If you have examples I'd love to hear them, I for one really like Katie, but I've probably got a some rose coloured glasses on.

My friend says he kind of knows her. I don't know if this Katie is the one he's talking about cos he's in WA. Does anyone know if she ever spent anytime living in WA?

People want to talk crap about her as she calls out Lawson (who some girls find attractive I assume) for his gameplaying. Anyway the producers are giving her zero airtime so I guess she will be leaving today or tomorow. You'll have your crappy showmance show with HMs there for their looks and without any intelligence at all, most don't like it however and it could put the continuation of this show in doubt, even this season according to some. It's interesting that so many want to watch Big Brother just to hate people (low self esteem?) but that really kills the show as most don't want to follow such boring negativity.

I personally like Sandra and Jason out of that bunch. But when people liked those "on the action" I remember, you weren't so happy (Bejamin'12 - ring a bell?)...

Actually Benjamin had his place in the house and I didn't go around spewing vitriol against him even though I disliked him. Other people were weak and pointless in just following Ben. Layla I disliked alot as she was a waste of space. Estelle was fully worthy of her place and always insisted she never saw Ryan as more than a friend, it was him who was after a showmance. Some weak male HMs that year, like this year really. Not that Katie is in any way similar to anyone from that season anyway, because she obviously isn't. If anything she's more a Tahan, someone who just tells it like is is and sees others are gameplaying while they trying to act like they aren't (like the twin sisters).

I think you confused her with Lisa here.

Katie just told Skye to put her voice down. That's an appropriate approach in my book. NOT bullying.

Anyway, I'm sad that she's gone, even though at the same time I'm excited that Priya stayed (I loved both of them). Should've been Travis or Cat....:inpain:

Sad she's gone. I felt she brought a lot of life to the house. :(

Bb screwed himself two years in a running with the third evictee. Last year xavier went before his time, and this time so did Katie. Double evictions suck. Especially early ones with not many nominated.

Xavier was about as entertaining as a herpes outbreak

A thing I've noticed in the last couple of years is how BB often puts words in people's mouths, in nominations often slanting what they say. But just in general DR conversations they do this as well, trying to put a particular viewpoint at someone. So with Katie they tried to turn Cat's eviction into something against her. I wonder what they were saying when she was crying in the DR a week or so ago as well, probably something else to try and suggest she was disliked in some way. I liked Ryan's comment in the goodbye message that she was fine as she was.

'I'm quite a fiery person!' Big Brother's Queen Bee Katie evicted for being too confrontational while Skye and Jake share a sneaky kiss underneath the covers

  • The housemates were sick of her fiery, 'Queen Bee' attitude and it seems the public were too.

Despite being up against Priya and Travis, it was Katie who was evicted from the Big Brother house on Tuesday night with 26 per cent of the public vote who called to save her.

Sitting alongside Sonia Kruger on the couch as she watched back the nominations, she said she wasn't at all shocked by their comments about how confrontational she was.

Evicted! The housemates were sick of her fiery, 'Queen Bee' attitude and it seems the public were too so Katie was given the boot from the Big Brother house on Tuesday night

Goodbyes! Despite being up against Priya and Travis, it was Katie who was least liked by the public

'I'm not totally shocked. I know that I am quite a firey individual. I was true to myself,' she told the pregnant Big Brother presenter.

But it's not all bad news for the nanny. When she first entered the locked-up pad she was made head of house along with Priya and they were offered $20,000 out of the winner's cheque.

'The money is my suitcase,' she laughed, clearly not leaving anything to chance.

More than friends? One of the biggest shocks of the night was when Jake and Skye went to bed together and shared a sneaky kiss underneath the covers

Speaking frankly about the romantic bonds of the others in the house, she reckons that Tavis and Aisha 'are just happy to have a fun time together'.

'Tavis is in love. Aisha is just having a good time,' she said.

While she thinks that Sandra has already gone off Sam: 'They are great friends. An amazing bond but I think that's the extent of it. I think she has since changed her mind [on her crush]'.

She said Travis was the most difficult person to live with as he 'takes up your energy' and thinks Sam or Sandra will win.

Yes/No task! Up first was Sandra, who had the choice of looking at the AFL Grand Final score

Good on you! But with the score quite literally under her nose - inside the lunch - the sports-mad Sandra resisted the temptation to take a peek and won the first round by eating it instead

During the episode, the housemates were tested on their willpower during a 'Yes/No' game - but some challenges were harder than others.

Up first was Sandra, who had the choice of looking at the AFL Grand Final score, which no one in the house knew and many were desperate to find out.

But with the score quite literally under her nose, sports-mad Sandra resisted the temptation to take a peek and won the first round.

'It's a bit hard to swallow,' she laughed.

Leaving little to the imagination! Jason also said 'yes' to being painted in silver and wearing hotpants

Priya was the next victim and was shocked when her husband, Bhushan, was revealed on the screen.

Seeing him for the first time in almost a month, Priya burst into tears.

Hard to take! Seeing him for the first time in almost a month, Priya burst into tears

'He's such a sexy boy,' Skye excitedly squealed.

But she resisted for the sake of her roomies and said 'yes' to Big Brother 'to escort Bhushan from the premises immediately' rather than give him a big hug.

'Two more months to go,' she shouted at him, clearly confident in her position in the locked up pad.

Katie couldn't stop herself from crying when her father Andrew called the red telephone later that night.

He had some important information for her but she said 'yes' to hanging up on him, winning another round for the team.

One of the biggest shocks of the night was when Jake and Skye went to bed together.

At first it just started out as innocent cuddling but it shortly turned into a sneaky smooch but it was interrupted by the final mission when all housemates had to jump straight into the garden pool exactly how they are - wearing their pyjamas.

During the Sonia, Kat interview after Kat was evicted. She must have adjusted her hair several thousand times.. She has a beautiful face but she needs to get rid of that terrible hair touching habit she has. Plus the head jerking. She may have been nervous but it came over like she was a 13 year old girl.
I think evictions are happening too soon. Maybe if there was live feed or something but with an hour a day it feels like we haven't had a chance to get to see the HM's.

Yeah, even with the limited live updates last year I felt like I was still getting involved by this time when Xavier and Rohan left. This year still feel like I don't know much. :(

You're right, she's really beautiful with a great smile. But the hair touching became distracting and you forgot to listen or notice anything else. Especially since her hair wasn't really even moving so as to become annoying to her, however she just keep changing it over and over. Probably nerves, I guess we forget that these people aren't professionals at this television lark. I would have liked to see her last longer, we need more confident fuller figure young ladies on TV.

I agree that evicting 2 people so early on is just a stunt. We don't even get to know people's characters and then, boom, two are gone so quickly. I would hate to be on a show where you are so easily discarded. And then they replace them with an intruder, who we know probably as much about as the HMs that just left. BB seems like a revolving door at times. Too many people coming and going and we are not given enough depth to the characters.

As for last year, I was SO glad Xavier left. I couldn't stand him, something about him was so phony and he was completely unfunny (well, he thought he was hilarious, but did anyone else?) And Rohan's evil genius master manipulator character he fed us was just a figment of his own imagination that never came to fruition. Who knows if it would have, had he actually got a foot in the game though. But at that time, I was happy to see them both go. From what we were shown, they didn't bring much to the show. Dion didn't this time either, Katie did, but it was more of a gang mentality where she and Lisa were almost fused as one individual. Will be interesting to see now if Lisa latches onto someone else or reveals her own personality.

"Queen Bee" Katie is not one to bite her tongue, and following her Eviction sting last night, she's dishing the dirt... on everyone!
Stay tuned for the full video coming soon, but here’s a spicy little taste of what to expect from Sydney’s 25-year-old cupcake queen…

“King Lawson… He is sadistic. He’s definitely, first and foremost out of everyone, playing the game.”

“I think Cat is a victim in life… She’s 31, and I don’t think that she acts like a 31-year-old.”

“Initially I thought Skye was this little bubble of gorgeousness, but I work with children and I have not dealt with a more spoilt little brat ever.”

“Jake’s definitely playing Lisa and Skye with this love triangle… Jake the snake.”

“Aisha had a bit of an issue with me from day dot because Travis was sort of pursuing me when she came in.”

Sounds harsh? Katie maintains she’s just “brutally honest”.

“‘Mean Girl’ is one thing, and that’s being mean with intention,” Katie said of the ‘mean girl’ label. “I don’t think that I did anything with malice.”

There is one Housemate who she’s not got a bad word about though; House BFF and fellow Sydneysider Ryan.

“With Ryan, there was such a true, honest connection… I didn’t want to waste that on a relationship,” Katie said. “I’m just so glad that I have him in my life… I will definitely be catching up with Ryan in Sydney, 150%.”
