I run around cities fixing hospital equipment. Not the most exciting job but it pays the bills.

I have two young boys so nightlife is pretty much done and dusted for me. I think the attraction to Canada is the people, I've only met one Canadian I didn't like and he was a very short tempered ski instructor. I was told Calgary was the best of the cities in Canada. I think Toronto also pulled me in due to it's size, although the Canadian guy at work said all the shops shut at 17:00 and it's pretty dead quiet after work hours.

Time will tell if I ever go there, in the mean time Melbourne is suiting me just fine.

 you go away for a few hours and come back and things are heating up. Still loving it.
mikidiki if you don't mind me asking, what is your 'daytime' look?

Just ignore Ders everyone his specialty is trolling the non-narrow minded. Trust me.

Hey ichi. The same, sans the heavy makeup (and false lashes) LOL!

This is a photo which best sums me up. I'm basically a giant dork who will laugh at anything remotely funny including my own farts. I'm not quite sure what was so funny at the time but judging by my hands I can imagine. The only other option was me is a long brown ladies wig so this was the safer. Sorry it's so big I don't have gimp on this computer.

I'm getting a Jason Segel feel from this pic.

We also came out fairly high on that list... I was only kidding though... Melbourne was such a lovely city when I was there... I'd love to go back one of these days...

My 25yo daughter is just outside of Calgary currently (OK, at Nakiska) till Feb - she's loving it! She was in Calgary itself for two months and said it was wonderful.

Dude I love Melbourne as well but it's mid November and it was 12 degrees and non stop rain today. 12 degrees!! I was up in the high country today and we seriously thought it was going to snow lol.

Kingston I applied for a transfer a few months back to Canada (Toronto or Calgary) but was knocked back :( Seriously if I can live in Canada for even just a year I will die a happy man.

I was up in alpine country last week too...Falls Creek...freakin' cold as but nice to get away from the big city too.

LOL It was 12 degrees here today! Strange weather for mid November but it was a nice change to what we've been dealing with...

What do you do? Calgary has a decent vibe to it... Took me a while to find a place here so I'm just starting to really enjoy it here... For someone who's new to Canada I think Calgary has a lot more to offer... From what I know of Melbourne I think you'd enjoy the nightlife here and we are only an hour or so away from the Mountains...

Canada rocks man, love it. Spent heaps of time in Toronto a few years back (we can blame a certain gorgeous blonde Canadian girl for that) and again last year....spent 3 months riding in Revelstoke. Greatest. Mountain. Ever. Oh....and the local bar, "The Village Idiot" serves up the most amazing blue cheese burger in the world....and that Mt Begby Tall Timber dark ale goes does a treat too.

It's my second home.....great country and amazing people too.
