I think Tully does it because she is insecure and she want sympathy. Tahan has no such excuses. She does it because she gets enjoyment out of being mean to people.

I thought it was actually quite funny how she was angry at him but also dancing with him. Honestly, I think she knew that being angry was irrational but she didn't know what to do with her anger. It's like when people start crying and then they're laughing because they don't know why they were crying.

If Drew thinks she's abusive, he doesn't have to be so close to her. IMO, he knows she can be a bit over the top and he accepts that and just goes with it. They're both adults and he doesn't have to put up with it if he doesn't want to.

It's not that simple. A lot of people don't realise they're being abused...or they think they must deserve it.

I don't think it's good that Tully insults him a lot, but abuse is a strong word. Lots of people insult their best friends but they don't mean anything by it. They're just angry in the moment and the friends understand that.
Plus when she isn't abusing him he's getting a little somethin' somethin'.
And also IMO he is a spineless doormat type unless he's drinking. Always the first to apologize even though it is never his fault, keeps taking the blame for any upsets, says he's the one disrupting the "harmony" of their "relationship".
I can't wait to see the back of BOTH of them to be honest.

It is not exactly the same, but your point here is a little bit like 'Yeah, he makes her feel like she would be nothing without him and beats her, but it is all her fault, because she should leave.' It is not exactly like this, but we are in the same ballpark.

Yes it is abuse. When you words to degrade, belittle & manipulate someone's emotions towards you it is abuse.

It's not like that at all. She calls him names and get angry at him but I have friends who do that and it's mildly annoying sometimes but most of the time I just shrug it off because I know that they don't mean it.

I still stand by my view that abuse is the wrong word. If she was totally serious and really wanted to hurt him then it would be abuse but she loves him and she was just angry in the moment.
