Episode Day 51 (Tues 17/09/13): Nominations #7

Pretty sure he was told by BB that he could only ask about hm's current points on the tally board, so he asked the questions he was allowed to. But he could have given all the points to Drew, which would have driven Drully fans nuts, and saved Jade. Glad he didn't, I don't want Drew out yet. Giving points to Jade after giving in to the pash sessions was just plain stupid.
I know I thought he might give some to Tim to make sure he was up, and then he mentioned Drew I was sure he was going to give all 6 to Drew, and then Jade would be safe but instead gives her, Tahan and Drew 2 points each. He only really seemed concerned with himself having 0 points.

Sweet_Geek - I literally covered my eyes when Jade and Ed were smooching the other day in the bedroom. Same for tonight. All I saw was her cupping the back of his head in one and his arms straight down beside him in the other. I don't care who initiated what... too uncomfortable for me to watch. And I agree about Tahan. While I abhor what she said and did re Mikkayla I think she's confronting some home truths in the house and that's what the whole thing is supposed to be about, right? She has no friends in the house and while she thought that'd be a great strategy and it wouldn't matter because she was so 'honest' read: bitchy, we saw that it does affect her as it would any other normal person. No man is an island and all that jazz.

The women + Tim this year are my hope to make it through to the end with Tim winning. And yes that includes Tully. She may be a cheating, manipulative emotional wreck but at least she's put it out there. Other than that stupid war thing with Tim. I'd rather her progress than say an Ed.

I can't do it, I'm sorry... After the late night show, I'd rather someone poke my eyes out than endure more of that crying and over reaction. It was like someone had abused her and crying to drew as if ed was violent. Ffs! Way too effing much!

I like tahan, can't help it. She is a bitch, but i like her spit fire attitude, just needs to calm it down a bit. She is one tough girl, but yes you can see how not having friends in the house is breaking at her.

Btw, you were right in the Ben fiasco, but im glad you didn't take joy in being right. I wanted you to be wrong.

That is just a hurtful thing to say, Sweet_Geek

I know. But let's prepare ourself for the worst. When we rid the house of tully only then will,I say nice things

Dumb! Why would it matter to be the only person on 0. I don't get the logic for it

In my defence, I said that about Tully before the LNF started because the forum went down. Now all her goodwill is gone for me again. As is Drew's. He looked like a lunatic when he was sitting in the chair. I truly think he has anger issues and no way am I even going to attempt to pin that aspect on Tully. He was f'd before he ever met her I reckon.

I gave him too much credit. I thought his big card was that Drew was an inside agent. Does Ed seriously think that everyone in the house doesn't already know that Tim is a stirrer and manipulator? What a dolt.

It's because he has only ever spoken to tahan and the hm's that have already left, up until this week. Even Jade said the other day they never speak. He has finally woken up to the fact that he needs to communicate with everyone, but it's too late. He thinks he has this great bomb to drop on the house, but the house already knows. I seriously hope they all cotton on to his change in strategy for what it is.

They was clearly copious amounts of alcohol involved there, most people overreact to stressful situations when they are drunk. I think he had every right to be angry. For Ed to tell Tully that Drew is playing her, when that is clearly not true, and for her to believe Ed that she can't trust Drew, no wonder he freaked out. And take out the swearing and I absolutely agree with everything Drew said about Ed. He is a self righteous so and so that thinks he is entitled because he is some AFL hero.

Yeah he pretty much sealed his fate. Good looking but completely warped! Scary as hell too. He basically supports her behaviour. It sickening. The way she blubber end on as if she was a defenceless child that just got beaten saying crap like the way eds mouth moved was scary and he was aggressive blah blah. Runs to drew to emotionally suck him in. He is just as bad. Ok rant over. For now perhaps. Creepy people. On the plus side, Tim looks like he is finally coming back to the game after last update.

How disgusting does the diary room chair look, where people have been sitting?

The chair was shown without anyone sitting on it briefly during Ben's pre-nominations task.

I'm not sure if it is just lighting making it look like that or if the gold colour is rubbing off on the HM's clothes etc?

I agree with *what* he said about Ed but I don't agree with *how* he said it. He had a look in his eye at one point that brought me straight back to a really f'd relationship I'd been in years ago. I think frequent visitors here would know by now I'm most definitely NOT a Tully fan but even with her stupid ass crying yet again, Drew tripped me out even more. To be fair, it could be because I'm viewing it through my own lens. But man he skeeved me out... and we'd already seen that in the live feeds so it was like getting smucked with it again!

 Looks like someone set it on fire.

Alcohol or no alcohol. Tullys reaction was ridiculous. Seriously her defence mechanism is to make it like she is being victimised by aggression, she then emotionally tries to manipulate anyone who will listen such as tahan or drew to see how afraid she was in which drew was fuming. She is effing nuts!

Dumb! Why would it matter to be the only person on 0. I don't get the logic for it

As much as I can't stand Ed, I do see the logic. There were only 8 people in it. He thinks 6 are going to be nominated. He knows he and Drew are on 0, if either Tahan or Jade are also on 0 it could be a tie for 6th place even though they have no points. That would mean the person with the most points gets to choose and they might choose him. Leaving himself as the only person with 0 points means that there is no chance of him being up. He should have thought it through more, but there was some shaky logic there. If he had been thinking of anyone but himself, he would have given the 6 points to either Drew or Tim and they would have been up for sure, especially as he knew Tim already had points, and he could have saved one of the girls. It would have been Katie and Lucy he saved, but he wasn't to know that.

It was ugly. He's in there now I assume, believing his family are out here pimping him out for a date, and that's the bait? He has no idea how to foster the dream! Who on earth would be watching that, wishing it could be them? No, they're going to be reminded of that time they fell in lurve and put themselves out there and the dude was an arse. Good one Ed. The guy is smooth lol.

Ha ha, I noticed this too tonight. It's all bubbly behind them when they're sitting in it and the arms look worn. Must have been a great show if the chair was that notable lol ;)

I was having troubling logging in here for the last few days. Even in the last few hours. Glad I am able to get back here again.
I thought the Eviction show went way too long and tonights show was good. Too bad Ben was given the power though I think it was entertaining enough and his strategy was poor though using info given rather than how he usually nominates.
I was surprised Ed didn't give Mikkayla votes he has every other time, good on her for escaping nominations
Overall Ed showed how bad a player he is Tahan comes across as a mean nasty girl and typical of her type that while she is attractive she is ugly inside. I lost some respect over the last few evenings of bad edits for her. Still if she didn't say what she does it wouldn't be shown in the programs.

The sugar sisters Jade and Mikki seem the most genuine and the sister despite the fish and the negative crap they cop still remain consistent. The sorrow they showed for Ben was real but they have the Tim curse might see them leave.
Tully seemed to react to Tim's nomination in the nomination room.
I think that on the double eviction show we should have been given more time to vote , they show a lot of clips that could influence voting well after the voting is closed/
Look forward to see the results of Ben's return to the house/
Sorry I seemed to drift all over the place but after not being able to get on line here i have to clear my cluttered head. Tough job I know.

Disagree, sisters, Jade and Mikk are not all that genuine. The producers keep telling me how sweet the sisters are but I just don't believe it. Mikk is mean but also very manipulative, the Feast show clearly indicated her jealousy of Tahan. This is probably mirrored in some of the audience that support Mikk as well. Tim is one of the sneakiest in his 'bitching', yet apparently he is allowed to get away with it.

Because he didn't ask the right questions. All he needed to ask is what the point total was for the lowest person in the red zone. He gave his points away with insufficient information.

That question wouldn't have helped his main concern I think... if he was truly safe or not?
Wasn't Ed under the impression that it would be a 6 nominee panel? What Ed really needed to know was how many people had points against them, to be sure he was safe. I don't think he realized he could ask that question. I am not even sure if he could have. Imagine if only 5 people had points while he and 2 others had 0. Then he is still at risk of being chosen in a tie breaker.

What he could have done:
* How many points do I have?
* How many people have more then 0 points?
Those 2 questions alone would have told him he was safe for sure and could target Tim or Drew with all his points and hope for the best.

He played it safe to ensure he wasn't nominated, he did actually say this is what he was doing. He knew Drew had no points, but couldn't be sure if the other 2 others had points, so he spread them around to save himself.

Actually, just thought of this... he only needed to give two of the unkowns one point each to make sure he was safe and then could have thrown the rest on Tim. Or give one of the unknowns one point and then throw the rest on Drew. Both ways there is only a possibility of two being on 0, so he is safe in a 6 panel line up. That's if he wanted Tim or Drew up while he is safe.

The superpower is starting to annoy me. Having it pretty much guarantee that person a week off.

I agree. Almost no-one nominates the person with the super-power presuming that the holder may know who nos who. It even worked for Tully last week, Even though Drew had the super-power, no-one was willing to risk nominated either him or Tully

I wonder how showdown will go tomorrow.. unless you are nominated to save yourself, do they want that over their heads to choose between someone now.
Would Ed try to win, and then have to choose between Jade and Tahan to save, those 2 think he likes them the best out of the nominated girls.
Drew would want to win to choose Tully, I guess Jade would understand if he did it.
Tim mightn't want the spotlight on himself this week with choosing between the girls?
Ben mightn't want to choose between the girls and cause a fuss but would he save the sugar sisters?

I think there will be a few of them "throwing" the showdown this week - other than those nominated & Drew there's not much motivation to win. Possibly Tim might try 'cause he wouldn't care about the aftermath & might even relish it - wonder who he would save with his twisted mind (in a good way)? Maybe the Sugar Sisters.

Okay, I've changed my mind (and my avatar) about Ed. He's not Switzerland, he's The Dark Knight (a.k.a. Batman).

Heidi, one of his closest allies, was the FIRST one to start calling him "Prince Charming." I think Ed can be charming and chivalrous at times, but not all the time. That's important to understand.

Then tonight, Ben (a HM that Ed genuinely likes--go back and rewatch the early episodes to see this) calls Ed a "dark horse." Which is a bit more accurate. You don't know what you are going to get with Ed.

Ed is the Dark Knight.

He's also Bruce Wayne: attractive and heartbreaker/player. Am I right, Consuela MADONNA? :) Which explains his conflicted behavior with Jade. He likes her but doesn't want to get serious with her. He prefers Tahan but she's taken. He likes Tully, but can't stand her emotional mood swings. He's being nice to the Sugar Sisters and Mikkayla so as NOT to get nominated by them. Of course, we'll see if that is really the case with next week's noms if he doesn't have the superpower again.

Kudos to Nyx ezacoo Professor for attempting to 'get' what Ed is trying to do. Not saying that Ed has completely thought out all scenarios or is acting particularly strategic at the moment, but I don't think Ed wants to be very decisive yet. Let others make the tough choices first. Only show your cards (and true loyalties) when you have to. Since Ed isn't up for eviction this week, it's in his best interest NOT to win Showdown. He should throw the comp. Thursday is going to be intense. So shut the front door...
