Let's say Matt shred's someone's ballot that has 4 points for someone, and a housemate ends up nominated for just 4 points (possible) - the person will know their ballot got shredded!

Um I think you give the Housemates way too much credit.

How does that make it obvious that their vote got shredded? Wouldn't they just think that they were the only HM who voted for them?

The housemates have trouble counting, i mean look at the weekly shopping fiasco.
