So I know how all my BB obsessed friends feel about Jade and her agonisingly desperate pursuit of Ed. But how are you all feeling about it?

Personally, I feel that it's SAD! She is so desperate for his attention and looks pathetic in all her failed attempts to seduce him. She clearly has never heard the phrase "he's just not that into you". In her defense (cannot believe I'm defending her), Ed really needs to man up and tell her to stop. By kindly "deflecting" her affections and then hooking up with her when he's drunk (even if it IS for a dare), he is sending her all kinds of mixed signals. As a girl, I know we've all been there.. The slightest sign of interest and you take it and run with it. But this is excrutiating!!!

Thoughts?
 
Sorry but this does not need a new thread. Sick of seeing constant "Jade" threads and I don't mean to be rude to the original poster. Just frustrating constantly seeing Jade thread appear in the news feed ;) Can't stand her!
 
Jade is so not over her ex. She needs a quiet comfortable rebound to make her feel half human. I doubt Jade has ever had the experience of a guy turning her down before, except for her ex. But with Ed, this is probably the first time she has ever given a guy the green light and he hasn't acted on it. Mikkayla, Heidi, they know he is not interested, they have seen it before. Jade has no idea how to seduce someone, because all she has ever had to do before was make herself available.

It is sad, really sad. And no one in there is telling her. Is that just tactical - how do we get the sweet blonde swimsuit model out? Oh, let her self-combust over Ed. This girl can't take a hint, and no one has just said you look really bad. Jade knows, but if she brings it up with Katie and Lucy they reinforce her in the delusion she really wants to believe. When Mikki urged her to gradually seduce him by making him interested in her, she thought that meant right now, not over a whole game. She cannot win this game. She has lost sight of it. MAybe if Ed is voted out, and then Drew gently talks her through the observations that Tim will blurt out.

You're spot on Winterbourne. They are all encouraging the delusion and since she has zero self-esteem or personal attributes that amount to anything, she continues to sexually harass Ed in the most excrutiating way... It's PAINFUL!

but totally agreed. Someone should say something to her. Like her besties Drew or Tim.. Although I'm sure Tim's having much more fun watching her make a compete fool of herself..
 
Think about it - her behaviour would technically be classified as sexual harassment anywhere. If she was a guy behaving like this with a girl, he would be spoken to immediately about it.

This is hilarious. You know in her Italian Next Top Model exit, she said she was going back to Australia to go to university.. Well according to Jade herself, she didn't get marks to even get INTO uni.. So is she full of sh*t all the time?

I have never seen her look relaxed and genuine once. She is so concerned with what other people think and how she is beig perceived, her insecurities are overwhelming her. I loved her in the beginnig during the fake marriage but her desperation and constant need for male attention and approval has me loathing her instead. If I have to hear one more speech about how all she has is her looks.. even THAT is a desperate plea for attention/approval from whichever poor person cops it that day! She needs to get into a therapist ASAP!

Think we'd be talking about this exact situation except that Ed would need to 'get the hint'.

i don't hate her but she causes a SEVERE case of second hand embarrassment. I literally cringe every time she's on screen.

That being said, I don't want her to go, I'm enjoying all the Drew/jade/tully/ed drama....and so is Tim!

Surely it's harassment if you are receiving unwanted sexual advances on a constant and persistent basis? If you have someone constantly offering themselves to you sexually, physically draping themselves over your body at any given opportunity, suddenly naked around when when they never were before (hehe), endlessly begging for your affections... despite your refusal.. Isn't that harassment? I mean it may not stand up in a court of law (!) but if a guy was doing this to a girl, I think it would be perceived differently.

Ed hasn't done any of the stuff you've stated.
I've asked this before, please post me a video where Ed has stated to Jade 'Jade, I do not find you attractive or I am not interested in you that way'.
 
Meh, it's not sexual harassment. If it was, Ed would clearly tell her to get off him, and she would. He doesn't say it because to a certain degree, he enjoys it. He finds her attractive - he said so. He just doesn't want to come off as the one doing anything in the house.

Well according to him, he has "had the chat" with her several times. We all witnessed the car crash of the first "chat" but he has referenced subsequent conversations with the other housemates and seems to be sure she understands he is not interested. This is the problem - I don't know what we're not seeing, obviously and whether it's a case of him really having no balls and not being able to plainly state his intentions with her or whether he has and she just doesn't get it!? Hence, my original post.. let's move on from sexual harssment.. The whole situation is making for akward, embarssing and riveting television!

Yes it's embarrassing to watch but I'm glad it's being aired.
Everyone has been in this situation at least once in their life, to some extent.
I can't relate to Ed at all because when somebody likes me like that and I don't feel the same I'm cold as ice because it's easier that way and I become closer as mates with them in the long run.

Really I think that situation has more to offer than Caleb (what exactly does he offer) and Tully (who has disrespected her girlfriend on national television).
 
I dont hate Jade but I do feel sorry for her. She really is quite immature.

Surely she can wait til she is out of the house to have a crack at Ed. Her behaviour is just odd.

Those that say Ed needs to man up and tell her straight, well maybe, but that just would makes Eds time in the house uncomfortable. He clearly does not like confrontation. Yes they kissed in truth and dare but Ed makes it so obvious he is not into her. Jade should at this age be able to take a hint.
