How do the shadows go in different directions? Doesn't seem right....

I have a feeling it is shadows because it is by a photographer.
[MENTION=483]Medusa[/MENTION] may be on the right track posting..... the sun could be directly overhead.

Mmmmmmm, you have a point there, well spotted, must be just different coloured sand.
...Medusa you are right because look at the person in the bottom shadow... he/she is taking the photo probably at midday when the sun is directly above them methinks... cheers.
This optical illusion seems to be moving, but is in fact just a still image
