Do you live in Queensland Bonnie? I was driving home the other day (or last week or the week before) and saw a couple of alpacas (llamas?) - freshly shorn - and wondered if they were yours or if there is a season for it.

Do alpacas and llamas look much the same or am I not too observant?

Hi Allican, we live in NSW but I think Oct-Nov is pretty commonly shearing time for alpacas. Llamas are bigger, and not nearly as sweet-faced - but I am biassed.
