Michael Crafter gets a song written about him. He really is famous
Adelaide sloth rockers Guantanamo Bay City Rollers have written a song about ‘the most famous person to ever audition for Big Brother’, Michael Crafter.
But given Mikey’s penchant for a temper tantrum, it’s not likely that this song will bring him much joy.
Titled Michael Crafter, Former Lead Singer Of I Killed the Prom Queen, Is A Complete Knob Head the song is a short but heavy thrash fest and yes, it’s totally awesome.
The lyrics are indecipherable, but the sentiment is all that really matters, since Michael made a mutt of himself after hearing that his girlfriend was a stripper.
“Myspace friends prove your worth.Wow that’s lots.
You’re a myspace faberge egg.
Fame’s your goal, each to their own.
Just don’t trip on your grandmother as you hurdle her to get there.
Better to be known than respected.

Guantanamo Bay City Rollers drummer Jontanamo said they wrote the song about him when they heard he was auditioning for Big Brother.
“He’s such a scene queen and he was putting it out on MySpace and MSN that he’s auditioning for a show that seems to go against every so-called indie ethos,” Jontanamo said.
“He has a loyal army of 10,000 fourteen year old Emo’s willing to cry for him at a moment’s notice, so he really is the King of the underground music scene.
“So we just wanted to jump on board his mega-fame with our crappy song.
“We just can’t live with the fact we only have 1300 MySpace friends, it’s embarrassing and not befitting a modern, progressive band who want nothing more than to be famous,” Jontanemo said.
Guantanamo Bay City Rollers debut release “Alcoholocaust” is available from this week on Test Subject Records.
