The finale

Evening all to what should be a magnificent evening. Neighbours credits are rolling, and we’re ready to commence the last BB for 2003.

And we’re away. Credits first as per normal, live crowd heard in background though. Shots of the crowd, before Mike welcomes us to the final eviction, then introduces Gretel, who has her hair down and looks stunning. White Pants and a sequence type white top. Gretel has a story to tell the audience, who seems to have Reggie and Chrissie cardboard cut outs of their faces. Anyway, she tells the story of BB2003, from the beginning, until there were only two girls left. Tonight we choose the queen of BB Land. Will it be Chrissie? Or Reggie? Slightly bigger yell for Reggie. SMS lines have shut, but the phone lines are still open, leading Gretel into calling them out.

Now, the nation was in shock when Daniel went last night, leaving two girls to fight it out. Gretel crosses to the house now! They are just laughing away sitting on the couch. Gretel asks them why they are nervous. Chrissie is nervous because they don’t know what is going on. Reggie says that she should get the rest of the M&M’s given to her as a present. Gretel suggests giving them to charity. Chrissie says it felt like Christmas eve last night, it dragged on so long. Gretel will be crossing back to them later. Now it’s time to catch up on what has happened in the last 24 hours.

After Dan’s eviction, the girls have a drink outside, and the girls are in total shock. Chrissie tells Reg that she is going to win, and Reg can’t get her head around that. Onto Dan’s video message. He gets through Reggie’s message OK, but when it comes to Chrissie, it brings him to tears.

Into the morning, Chrissie is up early cause she can’t sleep. They say in a few hours they will both be outside. Chrissie went back to bed in the morning, as did Reggie this afternoon. Back to the stage we travel. Gretel says that it is the first time in the world where two girls are in the final ’round.’ Back after the break with the 14 other housemates!

Back again with baby photo’s of all the housemates. Lots of “ooh’s” in the audience. Now, Gretel is back and it’s time to run through the phone numbers again. Now, all 14 housemates enter the stage. Jo has a ridiculous mini skirt on! They all head up to the couch. First to Dan, who is feeling pretty good. He had only a couple of hours sleep. He is ready for tonight. Now they are going to have clip packages intertwined with questions. The first package is of Irena, Jaime and Carlo. Irena has had an amazing time since coming out, and has met so many wonderful people. Jaime has had an awesome time, and encourages anyone to try out. Carlo is great, and is still with Tracy. Next clip package is of Leah, Belinda, Ben and Claire. Back to the couch, Leah’s hair looks shocking, and she is having fun as a blonde. Belinda is looking forward to going back to the salon and work. Ben had fun down in Tassie last night, and Claire is so excited seeing everyone again. Cut to a comm break, the rest will be introduced after the break. Creeping up on closing time for the phone lines as well, 7:25pm.

Secret Life of Us ad before we return to BB. Gretel is still on the couch, giving the phone numbers for the final time. Now back to the other housemates. The next clip package is of Jo, Saxon, Kim and Jamie. Lines have shut, so not far away from the announcement. Now, back to Jo. Jo is with Tim, and very happy. Kim does look great tonight! She is still with Richard, and is moving! Now Saxon, who is single. He is just having fun at the moment. Onto Jamie, he hasn’t fallen in love yet. Now onto the clip package fro Vincent, Patrick and Daniel. Vincent is still with Danielle (GF), and is having a crazy time! Patrick has also had a crazy week, and he is loving it. Now Daniel, who gets a massive cheer, where they talk about how he has only met some of these people for the first time tonight. Cross to the house for BB to do his announcement. “There will be a final eviction very soon.” Reggie goes all excited, and they try to go back to their conversation, but she is far too worked up now. Chrissie looks quite relaxed actually!

Back with clip package of evicted housemates walking down the audience. Gretel is still on the couch, and is now with the loved ones. Chrissie’s sister and Mum, and Reggie’s sister and Adrian. Liz was in the audience last night, and was so nervous. She never expected her to last till the end. She says she is popular out of the house though too. Onto Anita, who also thought she would not make it this far. Adrian looks like a nervous wreck! Chrissie’s mum is close to tears! She has enjoyed the time, has become an addict of the show. She doesn’t know what she is going to do now BB is over. Onto Adrian, who gets a cheer, who says Reggie doesn’t hold anything back. He is used to her though. He says that everything Reggie has said to do with the shop he knew about. He has never felt like he would lose her though. Now, I think the time has come. Here we go, we cross to the house. She gets the envelope, says hello to the housemates, Reggie is crying away, they are holding hands. Gretel says good luck. The winner of BB2003 is Reggie. She just cries, and they have a long hug on the couch. Chrissie seems so happy for her. Gretel says it’s time to go, Chrissie. The countdown starts, and they make their way outside. Across the pool, and one last hug, Chrissie is gone, and Reg is left alone. A bit different tonight outside for Chrissie. Chrissie gets into a nice car, I think it is going to be hers, but before she does she says hello to the security guard, and says they all love her! Comm break.

Back at the compound we are, the new car pulls up, and Gretel welcomes Chrissie. She is stunned at the crowd! Gretel tells us that the car is hers, she says “Get Out!” She gets to walk the eviction walk now. She just keeps saying “oh my god” all the way down! She lets her baby hands be touched by a special few, and before long she is greeted by Gretel once more on stage. “This is all crazy!” The audience chant “Chrissie”. She takes a photo of Chrissie and the audience, then gives her the phone. She loves it, she says “I love free stuff!” Now, she thought she would go sometime in the first few weeks. She says she was happy to get in. Cut to clip of “Sister Chrissie.” She laughs as she watches. Now, cut to “Evil Chrissie!” Chrissie loved watching that! She says she isn’t normally like that though! Gretel reminds her that she was the only one to stand up to Ben. They cross to Reggie. LOL, as they cut to the break, Chrissie is having the time of her life talking to the audience, and they when she realises that they are still showing a clip, she says “oooh, thats me!”

Back to a clip of “Laughing Chrissie!” She shows her legacy items, slippers and her nightie. Her charity is Brotherhood of St Lawrence Breakfast Club, where she volunteers every Monday morning. How nice is this girl :) Another present for Chrissie now, for the OS, she gets a signed first edition of her favourite book. She is really really pleased with that. Gretel tells her to put it down after a while! She says she loved the whole experience, she loved living with the boys. Cut to a clip of her friendships in the house! Straight to another clip package. More prezzies time! The Mastercard, the holiday and the PS2. And the DVD, almost forgot! Now, back to the house, BB says ” Regina, you will be leaving in just a few minutes.” LOL, she says “Haha, your funny Mr Big! Just hurry up would you.” Ah, she is a classic our Reggie :) Now, back with Gretel who goes through the best dressed competition. The envelope arrives, and the winner of the Plasma screen is Reggie’s fish and chips! Cut to a break, but Reggie is coming out straight after it.

Here we go, Reggie saying “Come on, come on. Hurry up!” Gretel comes into the house! She says “You little champ!” She starts crying again (Reggie!) Leah screams over the fence one last time for them to get out! Poor Reggie is a nervous wreck. Fireworks and they are out of the house! LOL, there is Irena, who she has never met! LOL. Now Jaime, who she never met. Carlo now, and then Leah. She finally knows someone. Long hug to Belinda! Fat Bobby!!!!! She is balling now, poor girl. As they go down, they have people dressed in the different tasks they did which is a good addition to the walk this year. She greets Claire, and then Jo. Huge hug for her. Kimareee!!! Next is Saxon, who says a few nice things to Reg. Jamie is next to greet her. Vincent is next. Reggie is just laughing and crying all the way through. It was better when Ben and Pete who really seemed overjoyed at seeing everyone again. Reg just seems to upset. Anyway, onto Patrick, big hug for Pat. There’s Dan, huge hug for him! Over the bridge they go, and then Chrissie appears. Chrissie hasn’t seen any of the housemates either, so she is hugging everyone too! They stop just outside for a comm break, just before they let her enter the compound.

Back again! The crowd screaming Reggie, and here she comes! All by herself, in the end where the eviction van normally rolls up. She is talking to herself throughout it all! All the evicted housemates are up the stairs where Gretel usually comes out from. She finally gets down to the stage, and is greeted by Gretel. They sit down on the couch, and she gets the phone. Now, Gretel says she won $250,000 to which Reggie says “I thought it would be a Playstation!” LOL. When Gretel tells her she gets the Playstation, she seems even more excited! LOL, Gretel tells us that they are going to show a few clips now, so she gives her a huge bowl of M&M’s. First clip package of our winner. Back after that to Gretel, who cuts to a break. She too realises half way through they are showing a clip package on the way too a break!

Back again on the home stretch. She has her skirt for her charity item. Gretel tells us all that we can bid for her items. Now, another present, she gets a home gym, but they don’t bring it on stage. Cut to another clip of Reggie. Voting is 28% for Reggie, 72% for Chrissie. Now, another clip package. Now, the hard questions. She says she is happier than when she went in. Onto the 10 questions. Hardest thing was nominating. Missed Campell and Adrian the most. She loved everyone, she didn’t have a least fave. Most annoying habit was her farting, funniest was no answer, laziest was Ben, greatest regret was she didn’t have one. Now, here comes Adrian. LOL, Reg says “New shirt!” New watch too! Adrian says he is happy and proud, and Reg just says it’s weird seeing him! After the break, everyone comes on stage for the final time.

Back to the show, and a replay of the announcement. Everyone is on the couch. Clip package of everything now. Reg says she can’t think clearly! Credits start rolling. Reg says she never thought she would win. Reg says the watch of Adrian’s was dear! First thing she wants to do is have a scotch. Gretel thanks everyone, Carlo starts eating the M&M’s in the meantime, Gretel thanks the audience, thanks everyone at home, everyone behind the scenes, then tells us that next Monday at 7:30pm a program called “Reggie Rules.” Gretel says goodbye, the housemates get up to greet the audience, and BB ends for another year.

Day 84

10:49am – Regina has spent the morning in the spa by herself, and enters the bedroom to greet Dan and Chrissie who have just woken up. She comments it’s very windy outside today. She is very excited and squeals – “it’s only one day to go!”. Chrissie comments “one more sleep!”.

1:56pm – Big Brother has instructed the housemates to give the house a spring clean. Dan will have his soup lunch first, and they will all clean together. Later while they are cleaning, Regina wonders what she will do tomorrow now because that was the day she had scheduled herself to do all the cleaning.

7:33pm – Housemates have been given takeaway dinner as a reward for cleaning the house. Over the dinner table, they talk about what they will do first when they leave the house.

Chrissie says she will grab a coffee, take it to the newsagent, and buy magazines. Go home and read them and play with Joseph (her cat). He plays with the pages sometimes as she turns them.

Regina will wake up at half past four to go to the shop… “I can just see it all happening”. Chrissie asks if thats what she wants to do. Regina says she will do it for a little while then visit Nan. Have a hot bath, just sit in the hot bath and listen to music.

Dan will try to catch up with his friend, do some shopping – buy some stuff to see what thats like again. Check if he has still got work and if he can get back into that.

Chrissie will need to check up if she has a job left too. On the other hand Regina says she won’t be any different to friends and family. “It will still be the same”. She doesn’t sound too enthusiastic.

Daniel jokes he will become a “popstar asshole” and hate everybody. Regina wonders if some one did that in the past. She hopes she can go back but not go back to the way she was before coming into the house.. being miserable and cranky. She doesn’t want to be like that at all. “I’m just wondering how longs it going to take before it just… goes like that”. Chrissie will find it hard to be along for a long time.

11:01pm – Housemates are now lying on their beds. Regina comments this time tomorrow night she will be so busy. Chrissie can see it clear as day… two chicks on the round lounge on the final night.

Chrissie and Regina together: It’s not going to happen, though.

Day 83

10:28am – Chrissie is at the kitchen table. She says it is so exciting. Daniel jokes: “because we just hang around so much here! It’s exciting to think that stuff can happen”. Chrissie and Dan smile at each other.

Chrissie: You could win it… I’m not going to win it. It’s cool that I won’t, I just can’t believe it that I’ll be there when you and Reg… I wanted you or Reggie to win it. I said that months ago. I’m so glad, so happy how it’s worked out. The two people I wanted to win it have a big chance and I’m here to watch it all.

Daniel: And if they don’t win it you will.

Chrissie: That won’t happen.

Regina is soaking up some sun on the deck while Chrissie and Daniel continue their conversation. Chrissie comments its great there will be a girl at the end of it. Dan says there will be at least one girl… maybe even two. Daniel has always thought that girls can’t win Big Brother so Chrissie comments he must be feeling quite confident. Daniel doesn’t though: he thinks that Regina has a big following and is just so appealing to people. “She’s so bright and cheery”. Chrissie doesn’t know how people will be able to choose between Regina and Daniel. Daniel meanwhile is interested in how well his votes tally up considering he’s survived so nominations.

Chrissie soon joins Regina and tells her that Daniel doesn’t think a girl can win Big Brother, which causes Regina to crack up laughing. They both agree they will give him a run for his money. Chrissie has seen Daniel has been very relaxed while the others were freaking out. Regina comments that “we’ll show you something Dan the man… put him back in his place, put him back in his box”.

1:24pm – The girls wonder what they can cook to pass the time. They propose scones with whatever ingredients are left in the kitchen. Regina jumps up and says she will give it a go.

2:11pm – The scones are coming out of the oven. Chrissie can’t believe Regina actually made them – “you’re such a little ripper. You’re a superstar Regina!”.

Chrissie: You’re a legend. You’re a Regend.

Daniel: If only Australia could taste them, then you’d win for sure.

The housemates eat their scones in silence.

4:27pm – Chrissie is still excited about the final evictions. “It is so me this Sunday. I just can’t stop seeing my sister’s face”.

Chrissie: It’s time to go… Chrissie

Regina acts out her shocked eviction face. However she reckons Chrissie is wrong about her self-eviction prediction. Regina refuses to believe Chrissie despite what Chrissie says. Regina is more concerned about Chrissie and Daniel being split up – she can’t picture it happening. Chrissie reassures her it would only be for a few days but after the show finishes it’s going to happen anyway. Regina says there aren’t enough people in Tassie to vote for her. Chrissie scoffs, and says it’s not just people in Tasmania voting.

Chrissie imagines if they get out and two people from the house have formed a couple.

Regina: Yeah you and Dan… is that what you meant?

Chrissie: No! Are you joking? Do you think I have the hots for Dan? Oh my god!

Regina laughs and Chrissie clarifies: people who are already outside the house. Regina thought she meant if she was evicted and left the Chrissie-Daniel couple in the house. Then they go through odd couple combinations: Patrick and Claire, Patrick and Leah.

Chrissie: That would almost be against the law, wouldn’t it?

Chrissie laughs again about her and Dan.

5:57pm – Big Brother annouces the store room is open. The girls think there is nothing in there, but Daniel checks anyway. Inside he finds snacks and drinks. At first he doesn’t show them the basket, but when the girls eventually see it Chrissie says “oh get out!” and Regina screams “oohhh what! No way!”.

7:14pm – Big Brother has provided the housemates with a camera video game. After some setting up, Chrissie is first. Regina can’t believe how the game works. The first game involves Chrissie bouncing a soccer ball on her head. Everyone is amazed at how the game works.

8:32pm – Regina is playing a boxing game and is knocking out her opponent. She giggles along. She knocks out the opponent and jumps for joy. It’s a new high score so she must pose and the game takes her photo.

9:45pm – Daniel is now playing the boxing game. He takes a different approach by slapping his opponent. He pulls a scary face while the others laugh on.

10:16pm – The group pose while the game takes their photo. Afterwards, Regina says it was great…

Regina: That was it, thats it, our last Friday night.

Chrissie: Don’t get all lumpy in the throat Gina, you’re going to kill me with all that stuff.

Day 82

9:38am – Regina is having a late morning up – even though she’s still the first. Dan and Chrissie hover around in the bedroom too tired to get up just yet. Regina decides she will have toast with honey for breakfast today. The topic of video messages is still on everyone’s mind. In the bedroom Daniel tells Chrissie he was glad Adrian (Regina’s husband) did a video message. They can see why Regina liked Ben so much, because he was so much like Adrian. Chrissie thinks Adrian is so handsome.

Chrissie comes to greet Regina, who is watching her toast cook in grill. Chrissie just had an urge to see Regina suddenly this morning, and has now acted upon it. Regina can’t stop thinking about her video message either. It’s only three sleeps until Big Brother is over. Chrissie comments she’s nowhere near as scared as she was before because of the comforting feeling the video messages have given them. Chrissie is overwhelmed with the support Regina has on the outside world.

Dan is now up and about in the kitchen. Tonight the housemates must parade their costume for the task. Regina and Chrissie have already finished but Dan hasn’t even started. Later in the day, Daniel is sketching out a draft of his costume on the whiteboard. Later on, Daniel is cursing himself for leaving it too late.

3:36pm – Chrissie is unhappy with her costume “god what was I thinking! It’s too hot!”. But the show must go on: housemates move outside to parade their costumes to Big Brother. Chrissie is first, with Regina commentating: the hate represents the city of Melbourne, where Chrissie was brought up and lives. The big red smiley face on her dress represents laughter. The dog on the costume is Beanie, her pet on the outside, along with Joseph the cat. Cups of coffee hang from the costume representing Chrissie’s love of coffee.

Next up is Daniel with commentary from Chrissie: Dan is a superhero, with the ability to jump Big Brother houses in a single bound. “A furry sexual embodiment of animal, man and superhero. Juxtaposed in a hotty outfit with an open crotch”.

Regina has commentary from Daniel: “Presenting this season’s little black dress”. On the front of the dress is a square and circle – representing her time in both BB houses. There is also pictures of Adrian and Campbell (her dog) surrounded by love hearts.

6:00pm – Housemates are now reading out their speeches.

Dan says he has gained a few kilos in the house. He has also gained experience and happiness in good company. Leaving with or without a prize is a new adventure. He can’t wait to see what adventures he has ahead of him.

Chrissie says during her time in the house she has seen that average stuff gets in the way of having stupid fun and being yourself. She’s really enjoyed this time because it’s like being locked away in a test lab where there are no distractions and only have stupid fun and relax.

Regina says her life in the house has been an unbelievable journey. She has spent it with people who are now her very special friends. She has never danced, laughed, cried so much in her life and she hopes when she leaves she keeps these wonderful feelings.

6:16pm – Dan is impressed at Regina’s speech, and says this to Chrissie in the bedroom. He wonders where that speech came from. Regina meanwhile is cleaning the living room. Chrissie draws parallels between her life and Chrissie’s life: they get so distracted by working they don’t have any time to have fun or find themselves, and now Big Brother has let them do this.

6:43pm – Back in week three Chrissie said she hoped Regina or Daniel won. Dan thinks it would be cool if Reg went back to Tasmania with the prize money, considering there were people there that weren’t supportive of her going on the show. Regina says it will be interesting going back. Dan and Chrissie admit they didn’t have any people who would say “I told you so”.

Big Brother tells the housemates to sit at the table briefly. Once they are seated BB announces the task was completed successfully. Now the housemates will get takeaway food of one of the housemate’s choice. Dan requested Thai, Chrissie requested Greek and Regina requested pizza. The scores for the task are Dan: 26, Regina: 29 and Chrissie: 30. The housemates are having Greek for dinner. Reg congratulates Chrissie. She says this means she’s going on Sunday. Reg screams “no it doesn’t!”.

7:27pm – BB announces dinner is served in the kitchen cupboard. Regina screams out “what!?”. Chrissie isn’t surprised, she heard strange noises coming from there earlier on. Regina looks through the food and exclaims “what the hell is that!?”. There is a lot of food, and Chrissie is ecstatic. Regina has no idea what the food is and Chrissie fills her in on all the names.

9:32pm – Chrissie wishes she had a book to read. Dan says he should wash his face tonight after the spa so he looks his best on Sunday. Chrissie and Regina agree. Dan can’t believe he’s here in the house now – he gave himself to fifth or sixth week to last. Regina dittos that. If Dan survives this eviction it will be the sixth nomination he has survived.

11:11pm – Housemates are in bed. Regina wonders how Chrissie and Dan are going to cope when they leave the house – because they live on their own and won’t have anyone to talk to like in the BB house. Daniel say she will probably be calling up people before he goes to bed. Reg suggests Dan call Chrissie.

Day 81

10:30am – Regina is making her costume for the task – it features her dog Campbell on it. For the special talent portion of the task, Chrissie has used her real estate writing skills to make an advertisement for the Big Brother house:

“Offering tree-top views and a feeling of seclusion, this near-new walled estate is heaven for seekers of the unique. Recreation is key here with lush landscaped gardens, a funky rectangular pool and two deck terraces perfect for alfresco dining and entertaining. The bedroom features an enormous open plan en-suite complete with it’s own foyer, four person shower and twin basins. A bright living room with timber floors, an open fireplace and high ceilings open out onto one of the dining decks while a super cabana style kitchen inspires culinary prowess with a full suite of european appliances: huge stainless steel refrigerator, and granite benchtops”

Regina is shocked.. and amazed Chrissie has a job where she is payed to write things like that. They laugh. Regina asks “can anyone do what you do? Or do you have to go to university to get a degree?”. Chrissie is relatively silent on the topic.

Tonight’s dinner will see each housemate cook one of their family favourites for the table. Chrissie is cooking a turkey, Regina is making a mud cake and Daniel is making pumpkin soup. Outside Chrissie comments the turkey they have is enough to feed 15 people – and Daniel has made enough soup to last them a week. He’s been preparing it for over an hour, and Chrissie says “surely there mustn’t be any lumps left in it… it will be the world’s most perfect soup”. Regina says it’s amazing how intricate he is. Chrissie says because she’s so busy she cuts corners and still has something to come out with at the end of it – however Daniel works maybe two days a week, and has all this time to perfect skills.

7:52pm – Housemates are sitting down to the world’s most perfect pumpkin soup. Chrissie says each person should say something about their course before the group eats it. Daniel says this soup is one of his favourites, it’s handy and good for you. He’s thankful that they’re down to the last three and with the two favourite people he’s had this whole time – genuine people who are open and sweet and on a level with him. They share a toast.

8:14pm – Regina is really unsure about returning to Tasmania. She doesn’t know what will happen now – Adrian has never seen this side of her. Even Regina says she’s never seen this side of her since high school. Regina is upset because she’s going to go back to “none of this at all”. The others tell her it will have to be her choice. She doesn’t want to be an annoying nagging cow to her husband though. If Regina was single she would just pack up and leave Tasmania – she was too young to get married, but Adrian doesn’t think so: “he’s too nice to be with me”. They all agree Regina and Adrian will need to discuss what happens next so Regina is happy and not tied down to the shop.

They sit down to Chrissie’s course. She says she can’t think of two better people to spend a concentrated week with. She’s had the time of her life and it’s a lot to do with the people she is eating with.

9:07pm – Housemates have been called to the living room and Big Brother announces there will be a special presentation. Shortly after Regina’s husband appears on the plasma screen and Regina screams out “oh no!”.

Adrian says they are all missing her like crazy and can’t wait to see her again. He says they need her back home because they love her. Regina is in tears. Regina’s sister Anita says they have been flat out at the fish and chip shop and can’t wait to see her. Regina’s grandma “Nan Johnson” is next and says Regina is a nice little girl. Anita says Regina has done Tasmania wonders. Many of Regina’s relatives then appear and chant “go Reggie!”.

Chrissie’s sister Elizabeth appears next with Chrissie’s baby nephew who has grown a lot since Chrissie last saw him. Elizabeth also has Chrissie’s cat Joseph with her, which gets Chrissie really excited. Elizabeth says Joseph has been starring into the television and meowing for Chrissie to be around. While the message is recording Elizabeth gets upset and says they have all missed Chrissie and can’t wait to see her again and have 1000 coffees together and talk about her time in the house.

Daniel looks anxious waiting for his video.

9:09pm – Dan’s message is now being played. It’s from his sister Jodie. His baby niece is happy and health and wearing a tshirt that says “yay uncle Dan”. Jodie says that if Dan ever wants to bring his new friends to dinner he’s welcome to. She invites Chrissie and Regina to come give Katyln (the niece) a cuddle. Jodie says everyone is glad Daniel has found the “different thing” he was looking for to experience in life. “I know that if mum and dad were still around they would be amazingly proud of you as well. You’re just a lovely guy to know and I know mum would be proud to see you as a grown up now Dad would be amazed at how much you’ve grown and changed”.

The video has left everyone in tears. Dan is upset while Chrissie and Regina laugh about their messages. There is a long silence as they contemplate their messages from home.

10:18pm – In the kitchen Regina gets quite upset about things. “It’s just hit.. so…”.

Regina: I noticed there was none of Adrian’s family… I mean it’s not surprising. Thats when I look back at Adrian and I think I feel sorry for him that his family isn’t in to it.

The others tell her she shouldn’t care what they think.

Regina: I think this has opened his eyes up… big time.

11:05pm – Housemates are now sitting down to Regina’s mud cake desert. Regina isn’t satisfied with her cooking, but Chrissie really likes it. Regina says she has enjoyed every single day in this house with everyone and she’s glad she’s with these two. Best of luck to whoever leaves the house last.

Chrissie: Good luck to both of yous you buggers.

Day 80

9:44am – Dan is up but he has yet to complete his poem for the task. Regina and Chrissie hang around on the kitchen steps and contemplate how their time is now going so fast and things will soon be coming to an end. The both don’t really want to go. Daniel meanwhile is trying to finish off his poem on the whiteboard in the living room. Chrissie comments to Regina how he is a perfectionist, and she wouldn’t really want to be like that. Daniel can’t understand Chrissie and Regina in that respect: he thinks they don’t really care about their poems but they are happy with what they have already. Regina says she would have grey hairs if she was that much of a perfectionist. Daniel wants to make movies but Chrissie and Regina say it might be difficult for him. Chrissie is worried Daniel won’t be able to find a partner that is compatible with that perfectionist side of things.

Regina draws parallels to her fish and chip business: she was always scared if some one else came in they wouldn’t run it as well as she did – but she eventually got over that feeling. They agree Dan never takes the easy road – considering how he dealt with his ex girlfriend. A little later Daniel calls out that he has finished some of the final verse. She says thats great.

2:57pm – Regina has started on her costume. Well.. almost. She’s sitting in the living room eating M&Ms and staring at the fabric.

In the kitchen Daniel says she has a new idea for a poem. Chrissie says thats great. He comments it helped to talk to Chrissie about his work. He wants to be a man who is good at everything but you only have limited time.

Regina is still munching chocolates and says to herself “oh why did I start eating these for?”. Eventually she gets underway with a handful of M&Ms. She starts but every 10 seconds takes a handful of M&Ms from her bowl. She tells Daniel she can’t stop. He gives her a test: to stop eating them right now and leave the ones in the bowl. She seems to pass the test and moves the bowl away from her.

The final three are collected in the living room now, while Daniel works on his second poem. Regina says “bugger it I can’t help myself” and grabs some more M&Ms. “I’ve nearly finished the bowl off so I might as well keep going”.

4:27pm – Regina is revising her poem. Daniel is dressed up and rehearsed. Chrissie is practicing outside with Regina. When Daniel comes outside the girls are impressed at Daniel’s snappy suit. Chrissie says he is georgous “how cute is he, I feel all proud”.

5:27pm – Regina is called to the podium for the task. She hopes she says it right, and doesn’t know how to stand. Up on the podium she draws a blank, so Chrissie whispers the first few words as a cue.

After the first few lines Regina laughs and says she has to start again because she’s forgotten. The other two tell her to relax. Regina starts giggling again. On the second try and forgets her lines. Third time lucky Regina gets through the poem with some support from Daniel. She says “thats terrible! I couldn’t think!” but starts giggling again.

Chrissie’s poem goes off without a hitch, and she bows for the crowd. Daniel moves onto the podium with his new poem:

I want to be a renaissance man
A guy who’s good at everything
I’d like to learn a hundred languages
And be a poet, an artist, and to sing

I want to make the best stuff ever
But like Macgyver, I’ll just have to make do
Because time is short
And I’ll just have to let go
Content, just to be here with you

The girls clap and Daniel raises his eyebrows for a laugh. Regina is still annoyed she forgot her poem. “Thats pathetic Regina”. The others tell her no, as long as she put her heart into it.

9:39pm – Dan is in the diary room. The girls are in the living room talking about winners. Regina says it will be Chrissie and Dan on the couch holding hands. Chrissie says it will be Regina, but Reg refuses to believe that. Chrissie can’t see Regina not being in the last show.

Regina notes that now there are so few people in the house it’s easy to see just how close Chrissie and Dan are. With no other distractions you can really see it. Chrissie says that the more people left, the more she found she didn’t know about Patrick – she already had her boy-buddy Dan to learn about.

Dan soon joins them and Chrissie shares her thoughts on playing the game: if some one was to come in with a plan to win and come this far they would have to be a real psychopath. They agree it’s not a game when you’re living in the house, despite what it might look like on television to the outside world. Chrissie adds it’s so easy to forget where you are and she is still surprised when Big Brother announces things – its like there is a voice booming into her own kitchen.

Day 79

10:10am – The three remaining housemates are up and about, but there is not all that much to do. They say hello to the house for the morning. But a tragedy has happened: Creepie, the Creepie-Crawlie pool cleaner is dead! Daniel runs to the pool, picks up Creepie’s severed tube and lets out a horror movie scream.

Coming out of the shower Reggie doesn’t know what to do: get dressed or not?

Daniel puts Creepie back together and apologies: he was only playing!

Last in the kitchen Regina explains the longest she has been away from her husband was about two weeks. He cleaned, shopped and bought alcohol and flowers for when she returned. The first thing that popped into Regina’s head is “what do you want… how long is this going to last for”. Adrian (her husband) said he would keep it up, but it only lasted a few days. She did thank him for the gesture but she thinks she was a nasty girl for asking. “No wonder he calls me cold hearted”. Chrissie interjects: “you can’t please them”. Regina says its funny how when you first meet people you do all this stuff and as the years go by you just do nothing. She starts laughing.

Dan explains that some people show their love differently – like doing lots of house work. Regina laughs and says thats not Adrian, but she wonders how she shows her affection. Chrissie says “working 14 hours a day”. Regina says one Christmas Adrian bought her a mountain bike – how can she ride that? Chrissie suggests you need to do something like a trip to Melbourne. Regina says she is planning to do that for his birthday. Daniel reminds them not to talk about it now because they’re being recorded!

Regina: Bugger!

1:32pm – The housemates have been given a task. They must reveal their personalities by writing a poem, show a special talent, designing a costume and writing a speech: “how your life will change if either you win or don’t win Big Brother 3”. The housemates all say that’s too much to do. They must present each of their qualities on different days of the week. Regina says this is the hardest task so far. Chrissie is concerned they won’t be given pen and paper to write the poem, and she can’t think of a special talent.

Regina: I could do the splits. I could try and learn to do the splits. But I’ve only got a day theres no way my legs could spread that far apart.

2:37pm – Regina still can’t find of a special talent for herself. She can’t sing or dance (Chrissie reminds her she can). Chrissie says it would be so funny if she could get some music and do a 30 second strip dance. Regina decides: her special talent is dancing stupid.

Later the housemates are lying around the beds. Regina has been working on her poem and reads out what she has so far:

I’m Reggie from the apple isle
Who likes to be happy and smile
She likes a drink in a bar and sometimes goes too far

She starts laughing. Chrissie says it’s great. She has to do four more verses about herself. Reg continues:

I cook lots of fish and chips
It really gives me the shits
My time here has been funny even having a bloated tummy
It didn’t stop me swinging my hips

Later she has finished all her verses, and just has to learn them. Chrissie works on hers, and shows Regina what she has written: the letters of the alphabet. She knows what she wants to say but doesn’t know how to say it, and decides to stew on it for a while – she isn’t going to force it.

5:03pm – Dan hasn’t started his poem yet. Chrissie brings her whiteboard outside to try and think of her poem. She is having a lot of trouble despite being a copyrighter outside the house. She says she does her best work at 2am. Chrissie feels like Anouska: just fucked off at stuff. There is a huge mental block. Dan tells her to leave it. Reg and Chrissie haven’t thought of a special talent yet. Reg suggests Chrissie have writing as her special talent, but Chrissie says she can’t perform that.

Dan asks Reg what she’s going to do after Big Brother. Regina really doesn’t want to go straight back to work – she’s a bit afraid of going back. Reg will tell Adrian to have a break, like she has with Big Brother. She will fill in at the shop while he’s gone. She’d like to go travelling again after that, but won’t be able to go with Adrian.

9:54pm – Chrissie has finished her poem:

I turned my back on living along
For seventy days or more
And I’ve seen myself as others do
And I liked what I saw
And now I know for certain
What I only thought was true
That life is only as special
As the people sharing it with you

Reg and Daniel say thats good. Chrissie is glad she’s finally finished. Dan must just start his now. Dan and Chrissie have a big hug and Daniel starts sniffing like a dog, causing Chrissie to burst out laughing.

10:23pm – Chrissie is making her costume, and finding it very therapeutic. Reg is lying outside on her own. Chrissie says she is probably reflecting on things.

Chrissie: Reg, whatcha doing?

Regina: Dozing off

Chrissie: Oh, nice… in the fresh air.

Regina: Yeah, plus I’m farting!

Later…

Regina: I’m getting most of it out here, instead of the bedroom.

11:32pm – It’s bedtime for Regina. Daniel is working on his poem and laughing to himself. Chrissie emerges from the diary room and wonders whats so funny. Dan reads his poem:

A couple months aboard a house
A ship with no engine
The portholes have no view outside
They’re mirrors looking in

So I reflect on the time adrift
On crewmates once aboard
What good news will I take home
When I have reached the shore.

Daniel has put on a funny voice and Chrissie can’t stop laughing. Dan continues…

I have got a bunch of seaweed
… it stinks

Chrissie falls onto the couch laughing.

I’ve got a bunch of seaweed
Some other stuff that stinks

Chrissie’s laughing causes Dan to start laughing and he says “shoosh I want to do it serious!”. Chrissie is in a hysterical fit of laughter now.

I’ve got a bunch of seaweed
Some other stuff that stinks
Some half rat eaten priviges
And other nautical things

The two burst out laughing. Regina can hear them from the bedroom.

Day 78

12:49pm – Patrick is cleaning the barbecue because they will soon be provided with meat from Big Brother on this Sunday eviction day. In the kitchen, the rest of the housemates are dressed up like real aussie’s, Anouska taking a photo of Reggie with a meat tray. They all have the zinc cream and the floopy hat on. While Pat keeps cooking, Reggie and Chrissie laugh at the photo’s in the kitchen. With dinner served, Reggie says that she needs to save some room in her stomach for some lamingtons, which have also been supplied by BB. Anouska doesn’t know what is inside them, but Reggie says ‘they are beautiful!’ Later, when she tries one, she calls it ‘gorgeous.’

2:10pm – Chrissie and Dan are in the bedroom. Dan makes the comment that he thinks Chrissie will be a little disappointed if she isn’t evicted later in the evening. She says she will see him in a week, to which Dan says that Chrissie would in fact be his pick to go. Chrissie says it’s her because it can’t be Reggie, and she thinks it’s out of her and Pat. Reggie comes in and starts packing, saying she will do a better job this time round. She wonders if she should put everything in her red sack.

6:18pm – Reggie and Chrissie are in the living room, all dressed up for the night ahead. Reggie passes by and says “I just can’t look at you.” Reggie goes into the bedroom, sits on a seat, and eats her M&M’s. Out on the deck, where the others are, Pat asks where Reggie is. Dan says it helps her to keep her mind off things when she is alone. Anouska wonders how excited Adrian would be to see Reggie again. Dan goes to check on her, and asks her if she is alright. She replies “Na.” She offers him some M&M’s as he sits down, but he says he doesn’t want to start eating and eating them. She is having a small cry while Dan is there. Reggie says she thinks she will be the one evicted. Chrissie comes and checks on them now. Reggie admits this is the most nervous she has been. Chrissie can’t believe Reg thinks she is going. Dan tries to make light of the conversation, add a bit of humour to the mix, but tears continue to fall down Reggie’s face.

7:46pm – Anouska fixes Reggie’s makeup, but is rudely interrupted by Big Brother, who tells them that Anouska has 20 seconds to leave the house. Frantic hugs all round as she leaves. Reggie’s tears start flowing again. Chrissie just doesn’t know what to do. Dan, Chrissie and Dan are standing around the pool, and Chrissie says “I’m going soon.” Pat says that it will be him. Just a few minutes later, they are again seated on the couch, and Gretel tells us that Pat is evicted. More hugging, kissing etc as Pat is ushered through the doors and out of the BB house for good. Chrissie and Reggie both lean on the doors for a bit, as Dan makes mention that he looked so ‘airport style’ going through. Reggie is really crying now, heavy breathing and everything. Chrissie hugs her. Dan then gets his turn. Group hug as Chrissie says “I can’t believe it!” Dan says enthusiastically “Just us 3 girls left then!” The girls take a seat as Dan goes to get some water.

9:23pm – All are sitting at the table eating dinner. Reggie and Chrissie both comment that they feel ‘space cadet’ weird. Chrissie says it was tough to lose two people tonight. Chrissie mentions that Pat was there when each of them arrived, so every memory they have of the house involves Pat, and thus thats why they feel weird. Chrissie says it kind of felt like it was Pat’s house to her.

Later, on the couch, the remaining housemates watch the video will Pat left behind. Pat says “Hi Guys!” He says he thinks they have all really enjoyed the last couple of weeks together in the house. He says that the friendships formed will last a long time. On a personal note, first is Chrissie. He says it was lovely to meet her and to get to know her. He says that perhaps he didn’t get to know her as well as the others, but that opens up the opportunity to get to know her better on the outside. He goes on to say she was a constant source of laughter. And just before he moves on, he says “Oh by the way Chrissie, I told you I’d be out first!” Huge laughter from the three remaining.

Onto Dan. He was so glad that Dan stayed as long as he did, because he got to meet the real Dan; the kind guy, down to earth person who says what he means, says what he feels. Dan never lies, always honest. He got to know him more in the smaller group. Pat says he was really glad they made the song together. He says that Dan will be much more famous than he (Pat) could ever be, but he will be able to tell people that he knew that Dan guy.

Finally onto Reggie. “Little Reggie, you are a beautiful person.” She has been like a rock for Pat in the house. Pat says that she didn’t change at all during her time in there. He is really glad they made it onto the show so they could get to know each other. They will meet up at the huge party at the end of it all, and then dance together.

At the end, he wishes them all good luck, enjoy the fact that they made the final three, and goodbye. They all say goodbye to Pat. Dan is soo glad that they get to see these. Reggie is looking at a photo that is almost black, and someone has written “Bugger” underneath it, and Chrissie and Reggie are laughing, almost crying at it.

Later in the night, the three are sitting in bed. Reggie says her eyes will be puffed up in the morning. She then says “It’s all too much.” Chrissie wonders how bad it will be when the third last person goes next Sunday. Reggie says “It’ll be you and Dan.” But Chrissie comes back saying it will be Dan and Reg. Dan just lies in between them not saying anything. BB turns the light out, and thankyou’s go all around. Reggie even wishes BB a goodnight. Chrissie and Reggie say goodnight, and thats stumps.

Day 77

Chrissie says “I can’t believe one of us dags is going to win it!” They make mention that none of them had really thought about the money up until the time when Gretel mentioned it during a live cross. Chrissie says the funny thing is that there is nothing any of them could have done to get to this point- it was all chance. Dan likens it to an elimination lottery. At 3:51pm, Reggie is using a Polaroid getting Pat and Chrissie in a photo. The photo’s are for Anouska to remember them. When Reggie starts to look at them, she says she feels like crying. She has a bit of a cry, then says “Oh bugger!” A couple of hours later, Chrissie says “How cool. Your in my life forever” to Reggie. Reggie gets a bit upset again, saying “It’s hitting me.” Dan says there is only a week to go. Chrissie makes mention of the quick end of it all, “never to be experienced again.” She says that BB has been the best fun she has ever had. Reggie agrees. She goes onto say it will probably rate as the best thing she has done in her life years down the track too. Reggie says the BB experience beats getting married for her. Chrissie says she is so glad she has been able to stay soo long and have so much more fun than she thought she would.

Day 76

9:16am – Patrick has just got up and is making his way out of his bedroom comes over to the kitchen. Reggie is already there, sitting at the table. Reggie, with loads of enthusiasm, shouts out “Morning Patrick.” Patrick returns the greeting while yawning. Patrick wonders whether he was rude the previous night by telling everyone in the bedroom to be quiet. Reggie tells him Anouska’s screaming woke him up. Patrick wonders aloud “Why do people go to bed if they aren’t going to go to sleep?” After that, Pat says it doesn’t matter, because in two days he will be leaving. Reggie says it’s going to be terrible with Anouska gone, and a housemate come Monday. Reggie goes through the alternatives it could be on Monday, but Pat only likes the one which involves Reggie, Dan and Chrissie still in the house.

At 10:15am, Chrissie is sitting by the pool reading her book. Anouska is making her way to the kitchen, and on the way through apologises to Pat for waking him up. He says “that’s ok.” Anouska is glad that he was able to fall straight back to sleep. Later on, Dan and Chrissie are talking. Dan is saying that it is soo strange to think that it will all be over very soon. Dan is saying that he sees life in the Big Brother house as his real life now. Chrissie sees that it is strange that she will never live with any of her housemates ever again.

12:55pm – Anouska wants to go home. Chrissie says she had a day like that – she stayed in bed all day and cried. Anouska says that her home is so far away though. Chrissie and Patrick both tell her it’s not too far, just 24 hours away. Pat also adds “At least you and I know when we’re going out.” Chrissie gives Pat a little smirk. Later, with them all out on the decking, Reggie tells of her time cooking for Adrain. She says that when she cooks a pot of minestrone soup, he would have a bowl of it, and then proclaim “Why did you make so much of it? I’m not going to eat soup for the rest of my life!” Chrissie says her ex was like that too – they just couldn’t eat the same thing twice in a row. Reggie says she knows she gives Adrain the shits, and thus she feels sorry for him. Reggie says that Adrain is probably really enjoying a break from the regular at the moment, a break from her voice. Reggie says that they haven’t been apart for nearly ten years. Reggie says they work really well together, they are a good team.

4:08pm – Reggie and Pat are sitting together on the decking chairs. Reggie says she has no idea who will be going. Pat says he thinks the spa will claim it’s next victim. Pat says it got Vincent last week. Pat says the spa also got Kim and Saxon. Reggie says “It’s evil, that spa!”

6:38pm – Patrick is in the kitchen cooking dinner. Reggie is at the table saying that she seems to whinge a lot. Anouska, also at the table, says it’s human nature to whinge. Reggie says that for seven months of the year so far, she has been doing what she wants to be doing. She then bursts into the now famous Reggie laugh.

At 7:23pm, housemates are allowed out from the bedroom to find a trophy and instructions on how to compete in a little football tournament. Table football of course. The winner is the first to get 7 goals or something. Dan and Chrissie are back in the bedroom and are teasing Pat suggesting he will win this competition too. Dan says “As if he won’t!” The champion must beat the other four contestants in a row, and Pat and Reggie kick off proceedings. Pat easily beats Reggie, and not much later, Chrissie is defeated. Anouska too is easily accounted for, meaning Dan must win to keep the tournament alive. Dan gives him a fight in the early stages, but Pat wins, and is the champion. A lot of clapping goes on, and Pat hands out ribbons to everyone else, to promote their achievements! Reggie thinks it’s “so cool” to have a “Good Try” ribbon.

9:27pm – Reggie is washing up in the kitchen, while Anouska and Patrick are throwing a rugby ball to each other. Reggie then takes something out of the fridge, and sits at the end of the bench at the far end of the kitchen so she cannot be seen. When Anouska runs in and out of the kitchen, she asks the others where Regina is. Reggie laughs too herself. She is having ice cream. Anouska and Pat find her and laugh too, and then call out for Chrissie and Dan to join them. Just 10 minutes later, when everyone has dispersed outside once again, Reggie is out to get more.

Later in the night, Pat, Reggie and Dan are sitting on the couch. Pat is playing the guitar, and Dan bursts into song; “It doesn’t matter cause Patrick always wins.” Reggie says she thinks Pat is going to win the whole BB. Dan says “Wouldn’t that be nice – the trifecta!”

Day 75

10:17am – Anouska walks out to breakfast wearing high heels. The other housemates query her and she says she doesn’t like walking around with nothing on her feet. She asks if they want coffee. Patrick also requests toast with Vegemite, and Anouska seems to know what that is. Chrissie says “well done”. Patrick adds “Reggie will tell you how much”. After she goes into the kitchen, Daniel says “don’t say that to an english person because they wont’ know how much to put on”. In the kitchen Anouska seems to be putting A LOT of vegemite on a piece of toast, and when she leaves with it Regina giggles to herself.

When the toast reaches Chrissie and Patrick, they say “oh ow”. Anouska asks if she’s put too much on – “a little bit”. Anouska giggles and Patrick goes to scrape some off. Patrick shows Regina how much Vegemite is on the toast, and she burst out laughing. There is deliberation on how to fix the toast: Regina says just start again. Patrick shows Anouska how much is correct and Anouska jokes “ungrateful bastard!”.

Patrick: Do you want a taste?

Anouska: I’d rather peel my own skin and eat it.

Anouska is interviewing Chrissie, using a spatula as a microphone. She is asking about Vincent and they play fight about answers. Anouska says Chrissie didn’t like Vincent scandalously. When the taping is finished Chrissie doesn’t seem all that impressed. Daniel and Chrissie suggest they do another tape that punchy and not so drawn out. Chrissie has second thoughts because this style is not really her way of talking. They retape it with a silly script.

4:20pm – Chrissie has worked out the cause of Anouska’s pregnancy theories: When travelling from the UK she lost a few days due to time differences and thus misjudged her menstrual calendar cycle. Chrissie and Dan go on to discuss Anouska: they feel sometimes she thinks people are laughing at her rather than with her. They also think she puts herself down too much – although she is quick to put down other people like when Regina gets words wrong. They agree it’s a fine line Anouska must walk o.

In the kitchen Anouska and Patrick discuss the task. She says Reggie was the most honest. Outside Regina is watching them and comments she likes watching people in the kitchen. Patrick says the producers were probably disappointed there were not so many clashes in the house. On a similar topic outside Daniel and Regina agree everyone in the house is nice and trustworthy. Regina says she doesn’t think any of the previous evictees would say anything nasty about them. Daniel is unsure.

5:59pm – Chrissie has joined the outside group and they talk there is only 3 sleeps until the next eviction. Regina is excited and has butterflies. Big Brother calls all housemates to the round deck, which is where the outside group is already. There is a general feeling of confusion. Big Brother announces the results are in for the task. They have wagered 75%. They have passed the task and have $91 to spend on next week’s shopping. Patrick tells Chrissie to enjoy the food next week. Regina says it would have been hilarious if they failed and only had $13 to spend. Once Anouska leaves Chrissie says she should stay until the end – she can’t just leave now when she’s just found out things about the other housemates.

Anouska and Patrick continue with dinner, rolling out spaghetti. Anouska says that Patrick is a control freak, and he agrees. She gets excited about rolling out some spaghetti properly, and goes to show the other housemates, screaming. The others laugh about how long it is, but their attention quickly turns to a bug that crashed into the kitchen window, and Anouska gets annoyed. Daniel picks up the bug and takes it over Anouska, who freaks out and tries to hide behind Chrissie. Chrissie scares her more by saying “oh look its so terrible it has long sticky legs, it’s in attack mode”. Anouska gets upset and tells Daniel to fuck off. Regina comforts her out on the round deck. Daniel comes out and lets the bug fly off. Anouska screams in terror and starts crying again. The others are amazed Anouska is so terrified of a single bug.

7:01pm – Anouska is skipping while Daniel shows her his makeshift vege garden. She says that she likes Daniel but as revenge for the bug incident when he wakes up tomorrow morning all his baby corn will be gone. Daniel says they can do that – they can fuck with each other until one of them leaves. He continues with the joke, talking tactics and battle of the sexes. Anouska giggles until Daniel mentions putting insects in her bed, and she asks if he’d really do that. He says not at first, but maybe a little later.

Anouska: These jeans are so unflattering!

Daniel: Thats alright because everyones looking at your tits anyway

10:05pm – Dan questions Reg on her eviction predictions, but there is no clear answer. Dan indirectly predicts Chrissie. Meanwhile Chrissie is telling Patrick she’s really looking forward to going for a long walk when she gets out of the house… a walk not in circles. Patrick is looking forward to sleeping in a room by himself and waking up when he wants to. Chrissie says “because I’ll be at your eviction” after that she can’t wait to… Patrick says she will be waving goodbye to him from inside the house. Chrissie continues, she can’t wait to hang out with other housemates outside the house. She’s never known them other than the environment of the house.

Outside Reg and Dan express their excitement at the upcoming finale. Regina can’t wait to see everyone. Dan compares it to a birthday party when everyone you know is there at the same time.

11:20pm – Anouska has spied a bug in the bedroom. She starts screaming and gets under her sheets. She instructs Daniel to get a pillow and hit it. He scares her by saying it’s coming towards her, she screams and hides under her covers. He shows her the smeared evidence of the dead bug.

Chrissie: That is disgusting.

Day 74

Regina is up this morning jogging around the backyard.

11:00am – Patrick and Chrissie are in the kitchen. Patrick is going to make every effort to enjoy his last week in the house. Chrissie has “done her calculations” and has a different outcome about their remaining time in the house. She has taken into account the “conspicuous character factor (CCF)”. It’s her theory that conspicuous means annoying. Patrick says that might not work because they are all annoying in their own special way. Chrissie says Patrick is the least annoying… why?… I don’t know, stop annoying me!

12:52pm – Regina is now into her second hour of exercise, she is now working some dumbbell weights. Anouska calls Patrick for his video interview. Chrissie warns him that Anouska has a tabloid interrogation interview style. An exhausted Regina sits down with Chrissie and finds out her interview is soon to come. Anouska has been told to make it all gossipy, and Regina says “oh bugger”.

In the living room:

Anouska: Do you think you could be friends with Regina outside of here?

Patrick: Definitely, she’s just one of those people who’s easy to get along with and you can chat to for hours about everything and nothing.

Anouska: So you’ve said you’d like to be friends with her outside of here, once or twice you’ve made reference to never, ever marry Regina. Why is that?

Patrick: Well she’s married.

Anouska: By why isn’t Regina marriage material in your eyes?

Patrick: Um, she’s just… I usually go for girls that are a bit taller, and different from Reggie I guess.

Anouska: Is Regina a bit too common for you?

Patrick: No definitely not

Later:

Anouska: Who was the next person you remember meeting?

Patrick: I met Chrissie next. I’ve gotten to know Chrissie to a certain level, but not as well as I know Regina…

Anouska: So you prefer Regina to Chrissie?

Patrick: I’d say that we’ve gotten along better… It would be more likely we’d be friends after this…

Anouska: So you think Chrissie’s boring?

Patrick: I didn’t say she’s boring I think I’m not as well connected as she might be to other people in the house.

Anouska goes along to ask if Patrick likes Chrissie the least in the house – Patrick says he doesn’t know her as well as the others. Anouska ends the interview and Patrick says “you sneaky little girl!”

4:43pm – It’s now Regina’s turn to be interviewed. She’s a bit nervous and expects Anouska to ask about her relationship with other housemates.

Anouska: What would be the one thing you would change about Patrick?

Regina: Um, to get him to talk to me at night when he’s in bed. He used to say he’d fall asleep talking to Jo but he didn’t he kept talking.

Anouska: Why don’t you think he talks to you?

Regina: Because I’m annoying and I get on his nerves (she laughs).

Anouska: Do you like Patrick?

Regina: Yeah, he’s nice. Just friendship, nothing more. I have no sexual, physical attraction to Patrick.

Anouska: I’ve noticed, every now and then you look at him differently

Regina: Oh! Do I? I didn’t mean to!

Anouska then quizzes Regina about Chrissie. Regina feels that Chrissie was closer to Jo than her, and that Chrissie probably would rather Jo be in the final four housemates. Meanwhile Daniel is playing air guitar with a tennis racket, much to the amusement of Chrissie who collapses on the deck laughing.

Anouska: So, from the sound of things, you prefer Patrick to Chrissie.

Regina laughs

Regina: Nah probably Chrissie because she talks to me at night where Patrick won’t.

Anouska: Do you not think he’s hiding his feelings for you?

Regina laughs hysterically

Regina: No! Oh, I just remembered something – when I was up for nominations the first time he went and played his guitar and he only plays his guitar when he’s upset and thinking about something.

Anouska: Oooh.. does that excite you?

Regina: And also that night, he came up to my bed and gave me a kiss goodnight.

Anouska: Did that excite you?

Regina: I was thinking “ooh thats a bit weird”.

Anouska: Do you fancy Patrick?

Regina: Ah no, I’ve got no attraction

Anouska doesn’t let up about Patrick’s attention to her, much to Regina’s amusement who finds the accusations hilarious. Anouska thanks Regina for the most honest interview she’s done.

6:39pm – Anouska is making an English dinner for the housemates: “Toad in the hole”. Regina has heard of it but Chrissie worries it will be disgusting. Meanwhile Patrick is playing the guitar and singing with Daniel outside. Anouska is yelling at her cooking utensils. Chrissie and Regina discuss why it’s called “Toad in the hole”.

Anouska is getting frustrated about her cooking but Patrick lends a helping hand. He tells her not to watch the cooking in the oven otherwise it won’t rise. She worries it will end up like a pancake. She jokes he is a kitchen nazi. Regina joins them and Anouska tells her “its been one culinary disaster after another”. Regina joins in to help with the cooking but Anouska gets annoyed when Patrick tries to take control. It eventually turns out as “roadkill” rather than “Toad in the hole”. Chrissie says it looks delicious regardless.

Everyone agrees it tastes great even though it’s flat, but Anouska looks disappointed.

10:24pm – In the bedroom Regina tells Patrick if he lies down next to her he’ll fall asleep, so he sits on a chair instead. At the other end of the bedroom, Anouska says she doesn’t think Regina will be evicted – Chrissie agrees. They wonder what it is about Regina that makes it seem strange if she’s evicted. Daniel says every bit of her is magic yet she doesn’t even know – It’s Aussie at it’s most charming. Chrissie wonders why she’s so appealing. Regina yells out imagine if you had been complaining about some one in your sleep, and Anouska suggests if you were yelling out sexual things in your sleep about another housemates. Regina had a dream about Saxon, and another dream about a mysterious stranger where all she could see was a (censored beep). They question her about the first dream about Saxon, but Regina tries to change the subject and the others pull her up on it. Regina keeps laughing. Chrissie explains: Reg says “yeeeah.. um..” and then moves onto something else. Regina is still laughing.

Day 73

10:38am – Big Brother announces that the hot water is off, and the store room is open, however he jumbles up his words a little and the housemates have a chuckle. They agree the uncomfortable pause by BB was what made it funny. Housemates move towards the store room. Regina has asked Patrick to put her chocolates in the store room rather than the kitchen so they won’t be as tempting. Patrick puts them on top of the fridge, which is out of Regina’s reach. Reg says that is too far otherwise, she won’t be able to grab some when she wants chocolate.

Anouska is up now and gets ready for the day. Regina is now annoyed about Patrick “confiscating” her chocolates. She says she will get them down some way.

1:27pm – Anouska is continuing with her video interview task. She is now interviewing Chrissie in bed on her views towards Dan.

Chrissie: The weird thing is when I first met Dan… I was already laughing. So that was a good indication of what was to come. We had our first good belly laugh within 24 hours. He does this weird thing with his mouth (she demonstrates)… it’s so funny.

Anouska: Does he have anything that irritates you?

Chrissie: Not really, I guess if anything it would be he is very pedantic about recycling but I think thats endearing.

Anouska suggests that Dan is her favourite and Chrissie finds the others annoying. Chrissie starts laughing and says Anouska must have gone to the “English Tabloid School of Reporting”. They both laugh. Anouska wraps things up.

1:50pm – Anouska is now interviewing Daniel on tape in the kitchen. She asks him what he thinks of Chrissie.

Daniel: Yeah Chrissie’s just a really happy person. When she laughs its very genuine and for people who are a little overweight the world can be harsh to them but it doesn’t seem to bother Chrissie… if they’re happy when themselves they’re great to be around.

Anouska: If you were to say one thing about Chrissie thats annoying, what would that be?

Daniel: I really can’t think of anything about Chrissie that is annoying

Anouska: Really?

Daniel: Well I spose it annoys me slightly that I don’t find her attractive because then she’s be a great person to be with and be attracted to as well.

Anouska: You couldn’t find Chrissie attractive? Boyfriend/girlfriend material?

Daniel: No, not really

Anouska: Why isn’t she girlfriend material?

Daniel: I think everyone has a physical body type and as nice as Chrissie is and as fun to be around, she doesn’t suit my physical type. Unfortunately.

Anouska: So you’re a bit sizist?

Daniel: Well everyone has a preference don’t they? For me to feel masculine I’d like to pick a girl up.

5:39pm – Chrissie comments she found it funny when Saxon put food right under the “EAT” sign in the kitchen. She goes into the kitchen to finish preparing dinner and Daniel soon joins her. He says the world is usually not friendly to people who are different or a bit larger. He says one of the coolest things about her is that she doesn’t make an issue about her weight. Chrissie can’t believe how much attention it’s been getting – she compares it to Regina not talking about her 5 foot height or Jamie about his sexuality. She says it’s not a big issue at all and she doesn’t know why this conversation is taking place.

5:51pm – Chrissie pries into Daniel’s discussion and wonderment of her weight. Dan feels the world is hung up on appearances but Chrissie says Dan is just perpetuating it.

Daniel: I have to admit I am affected by visuals – there’s women that I find attractive.

Chrissie: I’m not here for you to find me attractive, I’m not in the world for people to find me attractive either. It’s not the role of a woman just to be attractive to women.

Chrissie gets the feeling Daniel feels Chrissie is embarrassed or less capable of doing Big Brother. Chrissie says you don’t see Dan questioning Regina about her supposed inability to use big words or Vincent taking his top off when you’ve got pimples all over your back. Daniel is silent as he is put in his place. He eventually says he knows a lot of women who are hung up about their appearance. Chrissie says she knows that goes on but it’s pointless.

Daniel feels Chrissie is having misconceptions about what he’s saying. Chrissie says she understands it as Daniel suggesting she is uncomfortable with the way she looks. Chrissie says the idea of attractiveness is unique to each person and some people see attractiveness as an “inside” quality. The conversation ends on a positive note about dinner.

9:17pm – Patrick and Regina are lying on their beds. Patrick is half asleep until Anouska wakes him. She suggests Reg and Patrick sleeping in the double bed – she can see them being married. Reg laughs and Patricks says Anouska obviously doesn’t know him very well. She eggs them on to kiss, “you two look really good together”. Regina says “Pattie only likes tall girls with blonde hair and intelligent.. he doesn’t like little squirts with short hair, annoying voices, tattoos”. Anouska continues with the bating. Regina says she likes footballers and firemen. Dan jokes footballers on fire – flaming footy. He says they are all eye candy to Regina, and she agrees.

10:35pm – Patrick can’t sleep and is plucking his guitar in the living room. In the bedroom Anouska says to Chrissie “I think I’ve caught Regina looking at Patrick all adoringly”. Chrissie denies anything happening, but Anouska says it is nice – she would like them to get together. Chrissie reminds Anouska that Regina is married, but Anouska just giggles and Chrissie says “you are wicked!”.

Chrissie: I don’t think it’s going to happen

Anouska: You never know

Chrissie: Yeah you do know… it’s not going to happen

Anouska: I’m going to make it happen

They laugh into their pillows as not to wake any of the other housemates. Anouska discusses her suspected pregnancy with Chrissie – who says “if thats the way it goes, thats the way it goes”.

Day 72

10:27am – Regina wakens, and makes her way over to the kitchen to start the day off. Patrick is already there, and asks her if she is going to go for a run. Reggie says “I can’t.” Pat says if they move something she will be able too, but still Reggie is undecided.

Over in the house, Anouska is out of the bedroom, moving straight onto the couch, grabbing a handful of M&M’s as she sits down. Back outside, Pat tells Regina that every lap she does will get rid of one of the M&M’s she had last night. Reg says she likes the old M&M’s. Pat says that if she doesn’t run, she’ll wander into the kitchen, and grab half a cupfull of them. She agrees. So is this a M&M’s advertising feast or what! Cut back to Anouska, still eating them on the way back to the bedroom.

Reggie tells Pat that her thighs are yuk, disgusting. Reggie calls out “Morning….Chrissie!”, the pause being because she forgot Chrissie’s name. Chrissie replies “Morning…..Reggie!” Reggie calls herself a lazy cow, and asks ‘what have I done to myself?’ Reggie suggests that she forget about fitness now, and just wait until she goes back to the gym. She does half a lap of the house, before deciding that she doesn’t want to run in those shorts. Reggie starts laughing for some reason!

11:09am – “Your belly button is halfway up your stomach. It shouldn’t be there” exclaims Reggie. Pat says “I’ll get it moved then!”He runs over to the kitchen windows to check how high it is – it looks quite normal to me. Chrissie says ‘we’ve become good friends haven’t we?’ The girls says how weird it is to spend soo much time with complete strangers. Comm break.

Regina is sitting on her bed, and opens a packet of Malteasers. She is thinking of who to nominate. Patrick comes in, and Reggie immediately asks him to take the chocolate away from her. Pat says he will put them in the kitchen. Reggie, is a cheeky, cute schoolgirl type voice says “I won’t eat them. I promise.” Pat comes out, and Anouska scares him by appearing on the stairs leading up the bedroom. Later, Chrissie gets onto her bed, and says to Reggie that this nomination is the worst ever. Reggie agrees. She says she has some ‘things’, but she doesn’t think they will be good enough. Chrissie suggests running it past BB to see what he says. Reggie says if BB says No, she has nothing to fall back on. Chrissie laughs.

3:08pm – Chrissie has decided she is going to cook dinner tonight. Dan and Chrissie are singing away, then start taking about the song. Meanwhile, Pat walks in and fills his glass of water. Once he leaves, Chrissie says she is nervous for Pat to eat it, because he might say he would have done it differently. Chrissie says she misses Cooking heaps, and could easily prepare and cook all day.

Later, when they are gathered around the couch, Anouska and Reggie have a competition to see how many M&M’s they can fit in their mouths. Chrissie counts Anouska, while Dan counts Reggie’s. Reggie is trying very hard not to laugh. Reggie gives up at 90, Anouska wins with 95. As soon as Reggie spits out her mouthful, she starts eating more. This girl is addicted!

8:28pm – Big Brother announces that all housemates are up for eviction. Chrissie and Reggie say it’s good, they got what they wanted. Daniel says “It’s strange though…” Anouska says that on Sunday, the whole house will be peeing themselves! Dan has had six nominations, the rest have had four. Anouska says Dan’s six might be a record for the whole world. Reggie suggests that they ask BB for some chewing gum so she can stop eating the M&M’s. Reggie thinks she has eaten 3000 M&M’s in a week. In the bedroom, Reg tells Chrissie she can’t eat them anymore. Chrissie says “that’s a wise move.” Chrissie can’t believe that Reggie can lift the huge glass jar of M&M’s in the kitchen so she can fill a cup or glass up at a time. She likens it to Mother’s having super human strength when their child is hurt. LOL, as Patrick walks out of the toilet, Reggie asks if he would mind if she asked BB if they could move the M&M’s to the diary room to stop her eating them. Pat doesn’t mind. As soon as she said that though, she says “Nah, I’ll put them in the storeroom.” Pat says thats an even better idea. Chrissie talks her back to the diary room though, saying she’ll be too embarrassed to go in there and get them all the time. Reggie says the amount she is eating at the moment is insane. Chrissie says they are addictive, but she has managed to go Cold Turkey. Reggie says she is very strong to be able to do that. Oh god, now she has changed her mind back to the storeroom. Comm break.

9:27pm – Reggie is talking to Chrissie. Reggie says that Pat is always quick with his nominations. Chrissie thinks that both Reggie and herself just don’t understand the process enough, and thats why they seem to falter every week. Chrissie says she’ll get out, watch some nominations, and say ‘Is that all you had to do!’ Reggie is fluffing herself on Vincent’s bed, and Chrissie makes mention how happy Vincent would be at her doing it. Anouska appears asking if they can smell something. Chrissie says she can smell dog poo. Reggie says it’s probably her farting. Reggie runs too the toilet, yelling out that she’ll wet her bed otherwise.

Meanwhile, Dan and Pat are sitting on the couch, listening to the bedroom. They say they are talking about girl stuff. Dan says that his nose is getting so cruisey, some bits are starting to think they live up there, and are hard to remove. Meanwhile, back with the girls, Anosuka has just told Chrissie and Reg that she thinks she might be pregnant. Reggie is envious, she wants to be young again, and madly in love. Anouska says it’s different with Adrian and Reggie. She would personally never marry someone who worked in the same profession as she did. Reggie admits she doesn’t want to go back to the shop, and wants to try to find something else. Chrissie says if she comes down and finds her in the shop, she will flick the closed sign on the door around and march Reggie out of there. Reggie says that everyone says she can do anything, but yet she doesn’t know what that something is. She says she wouldn’t mind being a cook, or a beauty therapist.

11:30pm – Reggie says to Patrick, beside each other in bed, that she never gets to lie next to someone and talk to them, because Adrian and herself go to bed at different times, or simply falls asleep. Pat seems shocked at this revelation. Reg says that Pat, just like Adrian, falls asleep on her. They chat for a minute, before Reggie says “Goodnight Patrick.” “Goodnight Regina.”

Day 71

It’s Sunday morning in the BB house, and first shots we see of the housemates are at 11:42am. Anouska and Pat are heading to the kitchen, along the way Pat telling Nush that he found heaps of bruises from his spa antics on the Friday night. Nush also says she is covered in them. Nush asks him if he wants a hand with anything, but Pat insists on cooking her breakfast. Meanwhile, in the bedroom, Vincent has just woken up. Back in the kitchen, Pat has decided to make Scrambled Eggs with a few things chucked in. Vincent tries to look over to the kitchen from the bedroom door, looking very sleepily and confused. At the kitchen table, Anouska says to Chrissie, “What should we do? Should we do something naughty!?” Chrissie just grins, before saying “You’re so bad!” Chrissie goes onto say she will have to shop around for an accomplice, because she is no fun.

Looking a lot better, Vincent starts to pack for the looming eviction. Anousk meanwhile, is asking Reggie now to accompany her in her evilness. Reggie brushes it off, saying she can cook something for her if she wants. Nush then pushes the issue, saying “Do you want to do naughty things with me?” With Nush giving up on anyone getting up to some fun with her, she retreats to the sun for some sunbaking. With Nush gone, Chrissie reveals to Regina “I can’t do it. I care too much of the rules.”

Later in the afternoon, Reggie and Chrissie sit out on the terrace with a glass of wine each. Chrissie says ‘what a ride’, and asks Reggie if she is getting choked up. In the kitchen, Vincent asks Pat if he thinks his time is up. Pat believes so, saying ‘3rd time lucky.’ Vincent thinks it might be him. Back out on the terrace, the girls make a pact that if they survive the eviction, they will tell Big Brother they can’t come up with any reasons for nominating. Reggie says it would be good if everyone was up. Chrissie says that would be to easy, moving onto say “They has to be some downside to living in paradise.”

At 7:45, everyone is gathered around the couch, and everyone says ‘good luck’ and their goodbyes. Reggie exclaims “I’m gonna cry!” Vincent says if he ever pissed anyone off, he didn’t mean it. Comm break.

At 8:08pm, Gretel announces that it’s time to go Vincent, and he quickly exits the compound. The remaining housemates all wave and yell after him. Pat goes and give Reggie a cuddle. Anouska is talking to Dan, and says that she is glad Reggie and Chrissie didn’t go. Dan agrees, saying it’s nice having them here. Reggie is saying to Chrissie that Vincent had a big week before he left. Chrissie puts her hands to her face, and exclaims “I can’t believe I’m still here.” Reggie says she was very nervous, her stomach ‘churning.’ Anouska, still talking to Dan, says that after Friday night’s spa, she is glad that Vincent left, saying that she ‘felt awkward around him.’ She also says that Vincent avoided eye contact with her. Chrissie tells Reg that Patrick thought that Vincent was going to be ‘the one.’ Chrissie goes onto say that Pat is really shocked, before saying to Reggie that she has no opinion of who ‘the one’ could be now. Chrissie says that no one left was really best mates with Vincent. Reggie agrees. They both call him the mystery man, not letting anyone in. Dan says knowing that everyone left is from the round home is a comforting feeling to have. He says he came in with Chrissie, so it’s especially nice to still have her around. They start talking about Reggie. Anouska says that everyone needs a Reggie, while Dan agrees, saying she is just soo genuine. Comm break.

At 8:45pm, Reggie and Patrick are sitting by themselves outside. Pat comments that it is ‘such a big place for so few people.’ They say ‘cheers’ to one another on surviving another eviction. In the kitchen, Anouska wants the fire on. Chrissie says that it’s an open fire, and you have ‘to build it all up.’ She admits she has no idea, and says that she should ask someone (Patrick) if he could help her. Dan however answers the call to light the fire, while Chrissie is basically left talking to herself in the kitchen saying “Can’t believe Vincent is gone.” Anouska then reveals to Chrissie that she hoped it would be him. All Chrissie can do is laugh! She goes onto explain she loves the two girls, and she had just found a connection with Patrick today, while the spa incident ruined the relationship Nush and Vincent had formed. Daniel, now inside, looking at the fire, is trying to find the lighter. Chrissie says Vincent would know, and before you know it Daniel is asking Vincent where the lighter is!

Back outside, Patrick asks Reggie is she really thought it would be her. Reggie says she thought it would be her or Chrissie; a girl. Pat reminds her that there is a maximum of two weeks to go. Reggie admits, laughing, that she ‘could stay here forever.’ Pat launches into a routine, saying “It’s time to go Regina.” He then follows up, saying “ah no, sorry. Think I’ll stay here a bit longer.” Reggie says she’ll look after the house, the lawns, the visitors that will come through. Reggie says this is her new home, and as long as they flew Campbell up (her dog), she would be right. When Pat asks Reggie about what Adrian would do, Reggie just laughs. Pat says he would probably get along with him really well. Reg agrees. Reg says Adrian is a great guy who deserves more than her. What a load of rubbish! Pat agrees, saying ‘NO!’ Pat says to Reg that she needs to just get rid of some stress. Reg says she is stress free in here. Pat adds afterwards though “Or, we could just stay here!”

Chrissie, in the kitchen, is preparing to make some mushrooms. She comments that Anouska is beautiful. She says thank you. Dan pipes in, saying ‘and you have such a nice rack!’ She asks Reggie and Pat if they want a hot drink. They both decline the offer, but ask about the potato gems. When she goes back into the kitchen, Pat says to Reggie that she is a such a nice girl (Anouska). Reggie says it’s funny, but she looks younger now than when she walked in, because she had a dress on. Pat agrees.

Soon enough however, Reg and Patricks’s conversation goes back to Friday night’s spa incident. Pat says he is starting to feel bad about getting drunk now. Reggie says ‘so you should!’ Pat says he feels bad because he was thinking ‘she is just a little girl.’ Reggie says that that night, Vinnie and Pat were acting like boys, with their little toy, Anouska. She goes onto say ‘tongue’s hanging down to your knees!’ Pat says that just because there is a beautiful girl here, doesn’t mean he likes her. He says he needs more than beauty. Comm break.

We rejoin the housemates gathered on the couch, waiting for Vincent’s video ‘will’ to appear. He says that he is obviously gone. He says to Reggie ‘you might be able to get some sleep now.’ He says he has never met anyone quite like her. He says to her to not let anyone say to her that she can’t do anything. Moving onto Patrick, he reckons that the two would be able to live together, saying Pat loves to cook, and he loves to eat. The housemates all laugh. He also loved listening to him playing the guitar, admitting that he got better over time. For Chrissie, he says she lights up the entire room. When he is down, just spending time with her made him feel much better. He says he loved her Apple Crumble, and will probably use her Apple Crumble to get him out of the doghouse once he gets out. Dan is next to be talked about. Vincent says Dan ‘would have to be the most sincere, genuine guy I have ever met. A gentlemen.’ He take some time to compose himself, then says that there will always be a place at his families dinner table for Dan when he visits. Vincent was quite emotional during this part of his speech, and Dan also had a tear in his eye. Chrissie and Reggie commented about how worked up Vincent got over saying Dan’s bit. Moving onto Anouska now, he says he has known her for 36 hours, then laughs. He says hopefully they both haven’t caused too much trouble, but then says that she did brightened up all their lives by walking through the doors. He will miss all of them, and ends by saying ‘it was an absolute privilege to call you guys my friends.’ Before I continue, can I just say WOW, what an awesome message. The best one so far, by far. They all sit around and say how nice that was. Dan says it’s nice to hear that kind of stuff, because sometimes you don’t know the influence you have on people. Chrissie says that she thought Vincent didn’t like her very much.
