12:01pm: Greg, Tim and Christie are sunbaking. Dave rubs sunscreen onto Christie’s legs, and she says “This is the life.” Inside, Rita asks Mel if she’ll come and help her with the animals later. She says she would rather not. Rita says if Dave came she would come. She then reverses it, saying if Mel went Dave would come along, inferring that Dave has a crush on Mel. Vesna says “Be honest with yourself – do you like him.” Mel says No, saying that Dave is everything she is not. Rita reckons that Dave is really into her, saying that isn’t it opposites attract. Mel goes onto say she finds him sometimes flirty and a man’s man. She says when she was 16 she might have been into him. Rita says that Dave is checking her out now from outside. Mel says Rita made that up. Rita says he has a good body. Mel thinks it’s not good at all – his stomach doesn’t suit his arms. Ves thinks he has a good body. Rita says a year ago she was attracted to guys like Dave. Vesna asks if they can speak one at a time. Big Brother tells Mel to come to the diary room and everyone else to the table outside. Mel reads out a letter, telling housemates that the weekly task involves forming the “Big Brother Brigade.” It’s basically a survival task. They decide to wage 100% on this task. They still have to figure out their motto though. Mel comes out of the diary room with their clothes for the task. Vesna is going beserk thinking that they might be shorts. They are. Dave gets changed and is back outside first, and shows Timmy exactly how a little scout would act running around like a 10 year old. They finally decide on the motto “We strive to survive in BB05”

8:33pm: Logans come out of the diary room with 2 boxes. The other housemates squeal with delight. BB informs them that they are all up for eviction, however, the Logans, as winners of the FNL have the chance to save themselves from the eviction. Inside each box is either a ‘nominated’ or ‘not nominated’ note. BB reveals that they must choose a box now, but it mustn’t be opened until Sunday night. They choose box 2, which is ‘nominated’. They talk about whether it’ll be a double or not. Kate is certain it will be. Dave says “So we could save ourselves from a double?” Rita tells Greg that everything happens for a reason and he shouldn’t be scared. He says he isn’t, but he wants to open it now. They all get up from the couch. Kate comes to the diary room. She says that she thinks Rita doesn’t like her. Kate thinks Rita is a really nice person and she’d be upset if she doesn’t like Kate in return. Kate thinks that Rita looks at her as if to say I know you talk about her behind her back. She says when she was talking to Greg on the couch after nominations she wanted to tell her to shutup. She thinks it’s annoying. In the bedroom, Rita asks Vesna if she thinks Kate is spiteful. Vesna doesn’t think so, but Rita thinks she is. She says she tries to get messages across to people without being direct. Rita says she can see straight through her. Vesna says it might just be towards her, but Rita, in her opinion, has seen it happen to everyone.

11:29pm: Numerous housemates are playing checkers on the dancefloor. They’ve been playing for several hours. Kate and Dave come to the diary room. Kate asks for batteries, and Dave wants a tennis ball. Dave says he must sound like a whinging 13 year old. BB tells them that if they can collect all the checker pieces within the next 10 minutes without telling the housemates what it’s for, BB will give you the batteries and the tennis ball. They come outside and Kate just starts grabing them. Greg says “Oh your kidding, aren’t we allowed to play?” Dave says they can’t talk about it. Mel says “Your not serious are you?” Greg tells Kate she’s moved them from the spot, and she says sorry. She starts laughing. Tim reckons they’ve done a deal, and says “Kate what have you done? I don’t see how wrecking a game can be fun?” Mel screams out, “Big Brother” and it gets a laugh. On the way in Greg says “Your mean Kate.” Once their in the diary room, Greg says “Good game, it’s a tie.” They speculate what their up to in the diary room. They come out of the diary room and Greg asks them to reveal what happened. Kate keeps walking into the bedroom. Dave keeps asking “I don’t know” to their questions. BB tells Kate and Dave to come back to the diary room. Tim stands right beside the door. He says “It was all for a bloody tennis ball!” Greg says they can play cricket now. Tim says they are having a game straight away. BB in the diary room gives the housemates their items. Tim says to Kate, “So what did you get? Batteries? Double A’s?” Kate laughs. Dave is still saying “I don’t know” to their questions. Christie says it was a bit rude interrupting their game like that though. Tim suggests they have a game of cricket. The boys go outside and start playing. Inside, Christie says to Kate it was selfish. She says if roles were reversed wouldn’t see feel the same way. Kate says “Yep, I dead set would.”

12:58am: Kate has joined the boys playing cricket, and is batting. Dave bowls to her and she hits it out of the compound. Tim, as the keeper, walks away to the gym in disgust but doesn’t say anything. Dave says “Kate…very dissapointed in you, extremely dissapointed in you.” They ask what she has to give up now. Kate comes to the diary room with her prized possessions. They girls wonder what she is doing, and she says “I f*cked up.” Dave yells out that she hit the tennis ball out of the house. Kate pleads her case to BB. Outside, Tim says he can’t get angry at Kate without being mad at Dave too for laughing while taking the checkers pieces away. Back in the diary room, Kate says she has to offer her FNL trophy and 3 photos. BB tells her that BB is not here to act as ballboy for the housemates. She leaves.

1:19am: Tim comes up with a new game – walking around the entire inside of the compound with their eyes shut. Greg and Dave join in. Before too long, Christie and Vesna set up obstacles for them to run into. Christie then stands right next to them and puts water over them with the watering can. In typical Tim fashion, he doesn’t get worked up, only saying “Ohh, their doing something stupid.” They all get wet. Tim says they must be at the end, asking “Are we at the beach?” Right then, he kicks his foot right into a rock on the beach. Mel is laughing her head off as well. They finish and open their eyes and have a celebration!

9:01am: BB announces that breakfast is served in the rewards room. Lights are turned on but no one gets up. In the bathroom, Rita, Mel and Kate are there. Rita burps. Back in the reards room, Greg and Christie say it was nice for BB to let them sleep in a bit. In the kitchen, Vesna says she is going to eat a bit of the bread now because Rita will swarm to it if she knows it is cooked. She asks the others (Kate and Mel are around) if they’ve noticed this, but Mel and Kate both haven’t. Kate says she saw Rita eat the Pringles very fast. Kate says she has to learn to be more patient with Rita. Vesna says she doesn’t have to, but it makes the environment nicer. Kate says that she was thinking about it when Rita came into the bathroom earlier and burped. Kate says she has already told her that she doesn’t like it. Vesna says she says a lot of disguisting things. Dean, having a shave and with shaving cream all over his face, decides it’s time to do another Gorilla impersonation to the other boys who are in the sauna. Tim whacks Dave with the spoon used in the sauna, and Dave isn’t happy! Tim says it wasn’t him, then goes onto say he just wants to thank the boys for being his mates in the house. Greg hits back saying “We’re not your mates.” Tim is thrown out of the sauna, and they have a fight with water between the three of them. They all end up under the shower together. BB calls them all to the diary room with their microphones. In the diary room, BB informs that that the transmitters are not designed to be wet. They each show their transmitters to be dry. BB encourages them to be more careful in future. Tim reveals that Dave has told him to gang up on the boys, and BB interrupts, and tells the Logans that there is no bullying in the house and if they feel there is they should come to the diary room and talk to BB. They all laugh, Dave saying “He wanted to be a Logan, so I treat him like a brother.”

7:33pm: Rita, Tim, Kate and Dean are in the rewards room, or Exit Room, awaiting announcements of the impending eviction. Rita suggest they swap positions on the couch. Dean says “No thanks, I’m right where I am.” Out on the couch, Gretel has told them there is not 2 weeks left. Gretel jokes with the house saying that they will be in there for 4 and a half years. Kate is the first back to the main house, followed closely by Tim. Rita and Dean are still in the exit room, and Dean is announced as the evictee. They share numerous hugs. Outside in the house, Kate thinks it’ll be a longer period than two weeks, whereas Mel thinks it’ll wrap up even quicker now. Rita returns to the living room. She says she can’t believe it, and that Dean has been evicted. Vesna shouts, “Are you lying!?” The other housemates looked shocked. Rita keeps saying she can’t believe it, saying “Dean doesn’t go…” Vesna asks Dave if he’s upset. He says of course he is. Ves prods future, asking if he’s going to cry. Dave says he’s not going to cry, cause he’s not dead. They decide to go outside to hear the crowd. They say that Dean will be pumped. Christie says to Kate that she is glad she is still here. Kate says to her that Dave is really hurt. Dave comes over and tells them that the battle must go on. They say there are 7 housemates left (Logan = 1) 5 Girls to 2. They all go inside. Rita says “It doesn’t make sense.” She hangs outside with Tim saying she feels bad for Dean. She says she was sure she was going. In the bedroom, Christie says it was a huge shock. Dave says it’ll be a long two weeks, and a long week with Ves. Christie says she didn’t like it when she asked her if Dave was going to cry. Dave says he hasn’t began to start with her, and that he hates her.

8:58pm: Rita comes to the diary room to chat. She says she can’t believe she is there. She was sure she was going to go. She goes onto say that everyone was expecting her to go. They all looked stunned on her entrance back to the house. She says she is excited though! Back in the living room Rita says that people like her out there. Vesna says she thought that for a bit, but it’s not necessarily true. Rita says that people like her out there, but not in here. Greg says you can’t say that! Dave says she can say whatever she wants to. Rita says it was her friends voting. The others explain that they hate others more, so they evicted the other one. Rita says that she was freaked out when they saw Rita and said “Where’s Dean?” Kate explains that Dean had been up 8 weeks and was regarded as the “Terminator.”

9:24pm: Christie starts dressing Greg in her clothes.Greg walks out and doesn’t say anything abnout it and carries on as if nothing has happened. Dave now gets dressed up as well. Tim tells Greg that it suits him. Dave comes out and asks Timmy wherre the rave is. Tim says he could get away with wearing that. Mel comments about how funny they are. The twins and Christie come to the diary room. Christie says the boys have raided the closet. Christie says they are wearing cheap tops. The boys ask BB if he has a problem with their tops. BB asks the boys if they are just trying to fit in with the majority now another male has left. The boys say no.

10:17pm: It’s time for Dean’s farewell message. He starts with Rita, saying she has a big heart, but very irratating. He goes onto say he thinks she is passive aggressive. Vesna is next. He says they started so well, and then the whinging side started. He says he has seen every side of her, and the massive heart that she has. Cabbage is next, who he regards as his little sister. He tells her that at 19 the world is her oyster. Onto Dave next, friends for life. He says they’ll sit back and laugh about this in years to come. The brother is next, Greg. Big fat head and a big heart. He says he is an inspiration at 23 years of age. Tim is next. He says they have had their ups and downs, but they mis-interpret each other. He says he sees a genuine guy under all that and that there is no hard feelings. He says to everyone to have fun and wishes them all the best. They all say it was a great message. They clap. Tim says he was very wise. Dave says “Oh well, another day.” Tim comes to the diary room, saying he was very happy to get Dean’s message. He says he too saw the value in Dean at times too. He says he thinks he was threatened by Dean, and vice versa, and that Tim himself should take some blame for that. He does however say that now Dean is gone he thinks more people will be able to shine more.

1:43am: Kate and Dave are talking in bed. Dave says that most twins are inseperable. He says that they didn’t want that though. They wanted to be acknowledged as individuals. Dave says when they get out that hopefully things will be different. He says he’ll think he’ll talk to Greg a lot more, and hopefully Greg will work more on the relationship as well. Everyone settles down to bed.

Day 69
11:04am: The housemates are practicing their tap dance routines that they will have to perform later on the weekend. After they finish it, Rita wants to do it again. Vesna needs a drink however.

2:12pm: Vesna and Christie are in the bedroom. Vesna asks whats going on with Christie and Greg’s relationship. Christie says she doesn’t know really. Vesna says “You like him a lot don’t you.” Christie says she enjoys spending time with him. Rita is dying her hair. Christie reveals she put some of Greg’s aftershave on herself the other day so she could smell it. Rita comes in and says “it smells nice.” Rita wonders who folded the towels. Christie says she and Kate did. Christie asks Vesna if she has ever put mens aftershave on to smell them. Vesna says she has, and so has Rita’s. Vesna says that Christie is not looking at Greg as friends. Rita says she is doing the smart way, nice and slowly. Vesna says it’s two months now. Rita thinks that he is falling for her. Rita says he promised his mum that he wouldn’t do anything stupid while he was in there. Christie says that she is falling for him, and she has a good feeling about it. Rita wonders if Kate will get jealous. They both say that Kate is over him.

4:10pm: Tim is cleaning the living room windows while others rest before FNL games. Vesna wonders if Rita is crying, but they realise that it might be Greg breathing. Vesna wonders what he was thinking about. He says ‘different stuff.’ When pressed, he reveals it wasn’t about Christie. He says he thinks she is great, but he doesn’t know if she’s the person, he would have to spend more time with her outside the house.

4:59pm: Vesna recounts Greg’s noise he makes when he’s sleeping. Vesna wants to see a tape of her asleep. Dave does an impression of Vesna stratching her face, but Vesna takes it as if he is imitating a dog. Ves says to Dave “What is wrong with you. What’s society come to.” Dean eggs her on saying “He’s not normal Ves.” Dave says that she’s had her say now and she should let it rest. Vesna says Dave is the kind of guy who would spit on people at a pub. Dean laughs. Ves says that he implied she was a dog. A yelling match begins, Dave telling her it was a joke. Dave ends by saying “Thats lovely, Spit on people, real top notch.”

7:42pm: Housemates enter the FNL arena. Vision runs through the proceedings. BB tells the housemates that the winner will be given the oppourtunity to be immune from eviction. The housemates instantly say it’ll be a double. Vision shows Greg winning the FNL games, and Christie passing out. Cut to the diary room after win, and Greg asks BB if Christie can go and invite someone else instead of the Logan’s going in again. Rita says that Chrsite did so well, and that she’ll get two days in the reward room. Christie says you just don’t know. Christie is called to the diary room. She says she is feeling better. BB explains that she can pick someone else if she so desires. She refuses, saying she would have picked the Logan’s anyway. It’s decided, and the three exit the diary room and enter the reward room. Christie, referring to the offer, says it was so sweet.

9:12pm: Rita says “Look at Dean.” She goes onto say that he is lost without the Logan’s. Vesna agrees, but says Dave will come out heaps because Greg and Christie will want alone time. Once Rita leaves, Dean asks Ves “Does she ever shutup? It’s doing my head in”. Vesna agrees. Rita is also the topic of conversation in the reward room. Dave says she is the kind of girl who would come and pick you up if you were drunk and look after you. Christie agrees, saying she is a lovely girl. Dave says that Dean hates her. Back outside, Rita walks out and says ‘definately double next week….I’ve got chest pain.” Dean says he has a headache, and Vesna says “Rita, Dean wants you to shutup.” Dean says he does think she talk to much, saying “Do you stop for air.” Rita says she has hardly talked today.

12:56am: Dean thanks Vesna for dinner. Vesna says to Dean that she sees a lot of stuff. She says when she see’s these things, she can’t not mention them. Dean says it’s freedom of speech. Vesna says she doesn’t think he knows how to treat women, and thus treats her badly. She says he can’t speak to her that way because she is quality, and until he realises this they won’t get along. In the reward room, Christie asks BB to turn the lights out, and they are turned out. They settle down to sleep, and have a spooning session. Dave sleeps on the couch. A bit later, Christie asks him if he can sleep, and they start kissing.

Day 70
12:33pm: Vesna, Greg and Christie are practising their routine. Kate & Tim have decided that they will incorporate a little bit of a play into theirs, but the girls vying for Tim’s affection. Rita is unsure however. She says she doesn’t like doing it like a competiton. Rita says when she is not into something, she has trouble enjoying it. Outside, Dean and Dave are doing weights. BB calls the Logan’s to the diary room and everyone else to the couch. BB tells them it’s time to assign chores for their housemates as winners of the FNL games. Tim tells Kate that Rita doesn’t like plays. Kate tries to change her mind but doesn’t succeed. Greg announces the chores. Vesna is shopper/chef, and she is happy. Kate is baker, Tim is kitchenhand, Rita is farmhand because she is passionate about it. Mel gets housekeeper and Christie is gardener. Kate says she can make banana bread. Mel tells everyone not to make a mess. Rita tells them to take the dishes to the sink. Rita burps. Kate tells Mel that ‘that girl has the ability to make me spew.” Mel re-enacts her earlier attempts not to do the play in their dance. Mel joins the boys as they contniue their workout. Mel says that if she has to listen to Rita once more she’s going to explode. Mel decides to do some weights, and starts with small ones and copies the boys. Inside, Kate, Tim and Rita go through their routine in the bedroom. Dean says it hurt him not having the reward room last night, he was getting used to it. Mel says she gets angry when she boxes, she loves it.

5:14pm: Vesna admits that she is going to be fat in here because of the bread, pasta and milk. Dean reckons you can easily lose weight in the house by walking laps. Rita says you need to eat after exercising, saying you can eat Tuna. Rita says you can’t eat Tuna for every meal in here. Dean makes the point that the girls think that exercise and eating crap isn’t good for them, but Dean makes the point that at least it would be better than simply eating crap. Both girls agree. Vesna says that the food makes her tired, and therefore she doesn’t have the energy to do exercise.

6:04pm: Group hug in the bedroom before going out for their final performance. Vesna puts some lipstick on quickly before they head outside in a long line. Dean, Dave and Mel start it off after Big Brother says “Let the show begin.” Others watch on from behind. Next up is Vesna, Greg and Christie. Last group up is Tim, Rita and Kate. They do their ‘play’ in the middle of their performance, before everyone gets up at once. After the performance, BB tell them the results of the task. BB was impressed with the housemates performances, and have therefore passed this weeks task. Everyone celebrates!

7:13pm: Into the rewards room, Dave talking about who he has kissed. He says he never kissed Gianna, saying that it was in fact Greg who kissed her. He says that Gianna came up to him the next day telling him that he had biten her lip, not having a clue what she meant. Dave says if the boys were individuals in the house, Dave says he would have been up (nominated) a lot more. BB calls all housemates to the couch, and they are to sit in their groups.
BB tells them that the group of Dave, Dean and Mel. They celebrate while everyone else claps. Winning group are called to the diary room. They have recieved a thai meal for each of them as a reward, and some alcohol. BB tells them that they can share with their housemates if they would like to. They come out and explain that they are going to make a plate for themselves each and then the rest of the housemates can share the rest. Rita says thankyou. They also share the champagne. Everyone gets a bit of a meal and they all say cheers at the table. Rita says that sharing is really great to see, especially in the past few days. Kate tells her that they all do love each other. Christie comes to the diary room. She says she has had a great weekend, ‘the best ever.’ She says two days ago the conflict was everywhere, but now everything is fine and perfect and happy. Later, the winning group share a spa. Mel says they worked a lot harder. Dean says they are all pretty creative. Dave says they followed the rules the most. Inside, Christie and Vesna are in the kitchen. Christie tells Vesna that she kissed Greg last night. Back at the spa, Dean says he loves winning and he doesn’t play board games to lose. He knew that they would win. Vesna tells Christie to get Greg back into the reward room. Greg is talking to Tim at the table, but Christie comes across and they quickly go back to the rewards room.

No time given: In the bedroom, Tim asks how Vesna has felt previously when she has been up for eviction. Vesna says she felt nothing. She says she thought she was going every week. She would say she was going even if she thought she wouldn’t. Tim says he doesn’t know what he’ll wear, saying he might just wear a singlet because he’s put on some muscle. Vesna says it doesn’t matter if you have put muscles on. Tim says it’s weird, the housemates have come to be family, so he gets a bit sad, even though he knows he’ll see them again, he says it’ll never be the same. In the rewards room, Christie is getting a bath ready and tells Greg not to go to sleep. SHe comes and lies on the bed again. She jumps on him and they begin kissing, Christie yelling out “Back in the game!” Outside, still in the spa, Dean is telling Dave about Vesna’s earlier talk about her weight issue in the house. Kate looks on in the spa also. Back in the kitchen, Vesna starts singing as if she was in a gospel chior, saying “Don’t eat the bread” and “Show me the way Lord”. Tim helps her out with backup vowels. Vesna sings that she doesn’t want to see the footage because she might have a breakdown. Dean out in the spa says that he knows if he’s overweight he needs to exercise and doesn’t need to talk about it, he just does it. The gospel singing is in full swing in the kitchen as Mel joins in.

10:56am: The housemates start the day with an aerobic session, led by Christie. Doing one particular exercise, Christie counts down from 10 in relation to how many left to do, but stops at 6 because she needs to ‘wrap it up.’ The housemates all give themselves a clap. Christie says she feels pumped. A little later, Rita and Christie find themselves in the kitchen. Christie is helping her, but Rita says she would rather do it on her own. Christie says “Fine, do it yourself” and storms off. Rita tells her not to get angry. Rita tries to explain to Vesna why she doesn’t want help. She then says “I heard you saying stuff about me last night”, revealing that she had heard them saying that “Rita was bitchy” today. The girls say that they didn’t say it. Rita says she thinks she knows who says it. The girls both say they didn’t say it. Vesna doesn’t want to argue.Christie thinks she would remember if she said someone like that. She says it’s not bothering her because she knows she didn’t say it. Christie says that Rita implied that it was Vesna and her. Rita says she didn’t say that, and if they took it that way, they must be guilty. Christie walks away and Rita says to Vesna that ‘she gets cut very easily.’ Inside Christie and Mel talk. Christie says in the outside world she wouldn’t talk to to her, but in here she is forced to interact with everyone. Christie says she tries because she hates conflict. Back in the kitchen, Rita says no one listens to her and that they think she is a fly on the wall. She says that only Tim and Mel listen to her. Mel in the bedroom says that perhaps Rita she wants to help Christie’s development. Christie says she doesn’t want to speak to people she doesn’t like. “Had I known, I so wouldn’t have chosen her.”

1:14pm: Christie is still complaining, outside. Vesna says she has to try to get through it. Christie says parts of her personality are coming out which she never knew existed. She says it’s effecting her a great deal. In the bedroom, Mel tells Kate that Christie is losing her mind. Kate thinks that Christie doesn’t want to give her a chance and that Rita doesn’t respect her. The girls both say they see both sides. Rita joins Christie and Vesna outside sunbaking, making a huge noise sitting down. Rita says “I think you’re really cool, so don’t think I don’t.” Christie wonders if they’ve gone anywhere since their last talk. Rita thinks so. She explains that this morning she just wanted to be by herself. Christie says the bitchy comment sounded as if Rita meant they said it. Rita says that she thinks Mel said it. Inside, Dean is saying that Rita talks to much, and yet has a massive heart. He says you would be hard pressed to find a nicer person though. Tim thinks that the positive side of her is a front for Rita. Christie back outside says she doesn’t think that Rita and herself can’t be good friends. Rita says that they can, if she stops caring for her. Christie says she doesn’t associate people who she isn’t comfortable as she sees it as a waste of time. Rita says it’s ok, and she has ‘heard her.’

2:19pm: David finishes his online diary. Christie asks what the question was. Dave says it was good and that he won’t go and write negative things in there. Dean comes up close and gives him the thumbs up. Outside, he says that Dean will be a friend for life, and thats what he wrote. He says he’s not going to go around and bitch. Mel says to Kate inside that everyone’s fighting. Vesna says she is going to go and ask what the deal is. When Dave comes in, Ves asks if he was referring it to her when he said “I’m not writing anything negative.” Dave says he didn’t mean it to come across that way, and he wasn’t inferring her opinion in any way. He says that she might think that but it’s not the case. Back outside, Dave says she can’t keep her mouth shut. In the bedroom, Christie is talking to Vesna. Christie says she is trying to do everything to please the twins. Christie says she feels as if she needs them more than they need her. Vesna says it’s an insecurity. Christie doesn’t know what she is insecure about however. Vesna says that perhaps Christie thinks that she’s not good enough for them. Christie says that the girls give so much to them, and that they live like kings. Vesna says that everyone’s fighting, and she doesn’t know why. She says they all hate her. Christie tells her that she just speaks the thoughts of others.

6:33pm: Kate comes to the diary room. She says things are winding down which is weird. She says she isn’t bothered by as many things anymore. She says Rita doesn’t stop talking and that Christie can’t stand it. Kate says she is just over it in a way. Kate says she needs something to happen, to talk about, to think about that is new. BB asks her how she thinks she’ll cope if she survives in the end. Kate says the thing that she would struggle with is to come so far and yet not win. She says she started thinking the other day about who she wanted to win, and wasn’t thinking about who they were, but more about what the money could do for them. Outside in the living room, Christie and Dave are talking. Christie says she feels like she is in the middle of the girls and the guys. She says she feels as if she has no place. She says she really like Vesna, but at times she shits her. She says she wants to get away from the girls sometimes, and thus she comes to them. She say she doesn’t feel secure, and that she is prodding along. Dave says not everyone is meant for everyone. He says he feels competition from Vesna in this house.
