11.32am – It’s time for the housemates to be tested on this week’s task. They all head outside ready to show Big Brother what they have learnt. Christie will be tested on knots. She must tie a double 8 and a square knot. She does the double 8 fine with compliments from the other housemates but she can’t remember how to do the square knot. Big Brother reminds the housemates they cannot help Christie. Eventually she gets it done. Melanie and Rita have 5 minutes to create a raft out of inflated tyres, rope and a bamboo board. They drag it into the pool to test its boyancy. They must paddle across the pool but Rita falls off the back of the raft. They eventually make it across to the cheers of the other housemates. Once they finish Melanie and Rita both fall off the raft. Vesna and Tim are called to the campfire and must start a fire. Tim starts scraping while Vesna helps with burnables and flame protection. Greg and Kate must errect a tent while blindfolded. Housemates are reminded again not to give instructions. Vesna sarcastically says “yeah thats great I love it its g-reat”. She starts helping them again with instructions. Kate and Greg have minimal trouble getting it together. The housemates clap when the tent is erected.

BREAK

1.39pm – Vesna is cooking stir-fry while Christie cooks pasta (she doesn’t like rice). Rita starts talking about how she would rather pasta. Christie explains the pasta is exclusive. Eventually Vesna says she will make pasta for Rita. Rita and Melanie leave the kitchen and Vesna says “what can you do”. Vesna and Christie in the kitchen agree that Rita is being frustrating. In the bedroom Rita is dressing a blister on Kate’s foot. Rita says its good they’re spending time together. Rita explains Kate annoys her sometimes but she doesn’t know why. Kate says it’s vice versa. Kate says sometimes they are both the same its not funny. They are both stubborn and like to be in control. Kate feels a little threatened maybe. Meanwhile Vesna says Rita is making too much of a deal about food “she’s so hungry all the time….. I can’t feed her!”. Vesna says Rita is being very greedy with the food. In the bedroom Kate explains sometimes Rita talks down on her, but Rita feels the same with Kate. Vesna is now dishing up the food with the help of Greg. Rita has finished dressing Kate’s blister, and she says thanks. The other housemates are already eating in the kitchen and yell out to Kate and Rita to eat. Tim says they are having a deep conversation. Well, Rita is. Kate seems to want to leave but Rita keeps talking. They eventually break out of the bedroom and Kate grabs a bowl of food in the kitchen. Rita grabs some stir fry and invites herself to have some pasta as well – she piles it up on her plate as an extra serving.

BREAK

2.38pm – Rita is now in the bathroom explaining to Vesna and Christie about her conversation with Kate. Rita relays Kate’s comment that she found Rita a threat. Rita says she takes criticism constructively but Vesna totally disagrees and says Rita bites back all the time. Rita says all her life she’s been told that. Vesna says maybe just not in the BB house. Rita blocks everything Vesna says’s to Vesna’s obvious frustration. Rita says she has been quieter lately (hah!).

Meanwhile in the living room Greg is confiding in Kate about losing his brother. He says he’s upset but “what can you do”. He says he learnt a lot of about his brother while being in the house and they will spend more time together when they are both outside. Kate says its hard because they are both so competitive. Kate doesn’t want Dave to think he has lost, since Dave was the one who brought them on the show. Greg says it was better they did it together than Dave do it on his own.

Melanie is instructed to get the letter she was given earlier today. It has the results for the task. Vesna is not optimistic: she thought they sweared too much. They wagered 100%. To be sucessful they had to master survival skills. They were successful in 3 of the 4 tasks this morning. The letter in Melanie’s explains they had to complete 3 tasks to pass the task. The housemates all cheer. However, Big Brother announces the swearing was unacceptable for the task – and the housemates cheated by giving instructions during the test. Therefore they have failed the task. Vesna is not happy and starts complaining about Big Brother, saying “he loves doing this, he thinks we’re idiots or something”. – even though she was one of the housemates cheating during the morning tests.

BREAK

7.43pm – Tim is washing up the dishes after dinner. He is annoyed at whoever put the cutlery at one spot on the dishracks which makes the fall through into the sink. Rita starts laughing and says its the first time in two weeks she’s seen Tim annoyed. She continues laughing and says its funny. Tim is fuming. Greg tires to mediate and says he will take over Rita’s job. She asks if he’s just trying to get her away from Tim. Greg says “at least you’re aware”. Tim eventually cracks and says “would you just stop talking”. Tim says he’s usually a patient person but with Rita its “a constant barrage”. Eventually Greg takes over and Tim apologises for losing it – but its just constant. Greg totally understands and starts chuckling with Tim about it.

10.34pm – Christie is in the bedroom with Melanie. She’s asking about her position with Greg in the house. Melanie asks what Christie is annoyed about Greg. She says he is reserved, flirts with Kate and wont’ open up to her. She says he’s holding back something but she doesn’t know what. Melanie tries to do some expert relationship pondering by asking Christie questions about who cuddles who. Greg starts and then Christie cuddles back. Melanie says tonight don’t grab his hand but touch him on the arm instead, show interest but don’t show interest.

2.00am – Greg has gone to the diary room. He says to Big Brother he finds more and more about these girls when the boys are outnumbered. Big Brother asks if he’s prepared to go into a bedroom full of girls. Greg doesn’t want to – Tim is still outside in the spa. Greg admits he was going to wait until Christie was asleep tonight so they didn’t have to spoon. Big Brother wishes Greg good luck in his plan. Greg laughs and says goodnight to Big Brother. He then moves into the bedroom in the dark and goes to lie down in bed with Christie, but bumps his head on the headboard, arousing Christie. She then pulls him over to spoon together.

2:33pm: The housemates are marching round the garden on Big Brother’s instruction. Kate starts yelling out “Give me a D”, and spells the dignity. They stop and stand to attention and sound out their motto. BB tells the brigade they can stand down. Christie doesn’t understand and neither does Vesna. The others tell them it means they can act however they want. Vesna asks “Why can’t he talk normally?” BB tells them they can enter the house. Squeals everywhere! The boys don’t want to go inside, and wonder if the task is over. The girls, who have mostly run inside, soon realise that they only have half a bedroom now. The divide is back but now you can’t access one of the rooms. Vesna wonders if they have touched her stuff, and soon asks where her earrings are. The girls get excited about using the proper toilet. Dave warns the girls that they might not be staying inside, and it’s only temporary. Vesna won’t hear about it, even when Kate and Rita think it’s temporary as well. Later, Rita in the kitchen calls out to Vesna “They are eating the chips”, referring to Greg and Kate. Kate insists they aren’t eating the chips Vesna put aside for a party later in the week. Kate informs Vesna that Rita is doing it to wind her up. Rita insists she thought that they were eating those ones. Kate re inforces they were eating a different pack, and Rita says “Joke Kate. Chill out.”

7:58pm: BB has the housemates in the diary room and informs that a Logan will be evicted. They are shocked, but quickly sent to different parts of the house while the Logan’s wait in the diary room. The twins say this will be interesting. Christie chooses to evict David. Dave says they can’t hear it, and that it would be hard for themto decide who to evict. Melanie evicts Logan David. Greg thinks that Dave would get that one. Tim evicts Logan David. Vesna evicts Logan Greg. The boys say that Vesna would lke to get rid of them both! Rita chooses to evict Logan…David. Greg reckons he’s going, but Dave isn’t too sure. Dave says it’s coming towards the end and strategy doesn’t matter so much anymore. Kate evicts Logan Greg. BB tells the housemates to return to the living room, and then a short while after, the Logan’s are allowed out as well. Gretel announces that Logan David has been evicted. He very quickly exits the house. Greg says he feels worse for ‘you guys’. He feels sorry for Dave. Rita keeps asking him questions, and Greg says “I just need to think about it before anymore questions.” He walks round the house, and says ‘how shocking was that’ to Tim. Vesna says she thinks that there is less than two weeks left. Greg says to Vesna not to feel bad. Vesna says she doesn’t feel bad. Greg thanks them for keeping him in. The guys go to the bedroom, and Greg tells Tim that Dave wanted him to give something to him. He gets Tim down on the bed and starts messing with his hair in a mock fight. Tim says “I knew it would be that!” They can’t believe that there are only two guys left now. The girls meanwhile in the living room say that they think a girl will win it now.

9:42pm: BB announces that it’s the kitchenhand’s duties to do the dishes. Rita, who is doing them is forced to step away from the sink. They all gather for Dave’s eviction message, but Rita wants to make a point about no one offering to help her do the dishes. Kate stands up for the group saying that it’s a difficult time for them, and the dishes will still be there after later. Kate says they did clean before she came, and that the house was clean. Tim says he didn’t even realise she was doing the dishes. Rita says she expects to live in a spotless environment. Rita says she was mearly making a comment. She says that is the trouble with them she makes a comment and they all immediately jump to defence mode. Mel says that after whats just happened she just wants to relax. Vesna says “To end a great conversation, why talk about doing the dishes”. Vesna says to ignore Rita unless she says “I want to discuss something!” Dave speaks to them after he’s been evicted. He starts with Rita. He says she is a champ, and she is who she is. He says they really do love her. Mel is next, who he says is ‘not a bad looker.’ He says that she’ll meet the perfect guy for her one day and she’ll be swept off her feet. He says Kate knows what she wants. She is a nice person. Next is Christie, who he refers to as his sister in law. He says they’ve had their arguments, but thats what friends are for. He says of Vesna that she is as stubborn as him. He says her humour is amazing. He treats her like his mates. He says she is a great person and not a bad kisser! He says Logan Tim should give Greg a punch and he’s a great bloke and…he can’t think of anything else to say to Tim. He says lastly about his brother that it didn’t matter who went, they are still one in the house. He says he loves Greg. He says he’s going to have a beer, and he hopes they have a water for him.

10:01pm: All housemates are still on the couch. Rita comes to the diary room. She cries. She feels bad for her decision because it’s not what she wanted. She doesn’t know how to deal with her situation. Vesna outside tells them all that Rita is finding it really hard in this house. Mel says that they are all finding it really hard. Kate feels that Rita thinks that the whole group are ganging up against Rita. Christie says it’s just because everyone is frustrated by her. Tim thinks that she fails to hear other sides of arguments and says Rita is quite aggressive. Back in the diary room, Rita is shocked at the way she is reacting. She says she feels she has done wrong by BB. She says everyone else is playing the game. She says she wishes she wasn’t so kind hearted sometimes. She says they probably don’t care. Back outside, Kate thinks they can be a lot more tolerant. Tim thinks that they should perhaps raise their issues individually with Rita. Rita asks if she can sleep outside, and BB tells her that she can sleep wherever she wants. Back in the house, she tells her housemates of her desire to sleep outside. Mel wonders if she will be cold. Rita says she’ll be fine. She gets into her sleeping bag. Christie comes to chat. Rita says she is just shocked at what happened tonight. Greg brings Dave’s suitcase to the diary room and chats. He says he would’ve liked to spend more time with Dave in the final weeks. He says that he enjoyed the time he spent with him. He feels a bit guilty that he’s still here when Dave was the one who really wanted to come on the show. Rita is outside, and Christie is still listening to her. Rita says she doesn’t know what she has to say to everyone for them to understand her. She says she has a real problem with Kate. She wants people to come to her and talk her issues, even if they are bad. Christie promises she will come to here and talk. Rita says Vesna always does it, but Kate doesn’t. Christie says she finds Kate quite ‘princessy’. Christie says ‘this isn’t bitching, I refuse to btich.” Inside, Greg doesn’t know how he’s feeling. Kate thinks it’s might take him 2 days to realise. Greg says it took 12 steps up the eviction stairs for him to realise. He says it would be easier if he just cried because people would instantly know. Mel and Kate understand him, and they decide to go to bed. Outside, Christie says goodnight to Rita. Rita tells her that everything happens for a reason. Christie agrees. The rain pours down and Christie heads inside.

7:40am: Mel and Rita are feeding the farm animals. The pigs are getting aggressive and the girls make mention of the fact. Back inside the house, Kate and Tim are at the table. Last night, Kate & Dave removed pieces of the checker game in return for batteries and a tennis ball. Tim says he can’t be angry at Kate just because she was laughing while she removed the pieces. Kate says that she laughs all the time though. Tim says that he can’t be mad at Kate and not at Dave, but he was angry at Kate and not at Dave. He says other factors and issues made him feel like he did. Kate presses him to raise these issues with her. Tim says that he likes her more than she likes him and that gives him frustration, and in situations such as last night he has another emotional saw that gets etched away. He says that if he was outside the house he would be fine but he has to see Kate everyday and so he can’t forget about her. He says he would get rid of it in 3 weeks if they didn’t see each other everyday and when they saw each other in months time it would be so much better and more comfortable. Kate apologises for last night and the checkers incident. Tim again says that he didn’t want to have a public stouch with Kate because the argument wouldn’t have been about the subject at hand, moreso his frustration at his attraction to Kate. Kate takes the dishes to the kitchen. Kate come to the diary room. She says that she knows it’s hard to deal with someone when you like them, but she is frustrated that he says it time and time again and she feels guilty for not liking him in return. She says that everytime he says it to her Kate feels it’s get heavier and heavier, and she doesn’t know if it’s in the hope that she’ll turn around and suddenly have feelings for her or not. She says she doesn’t know how to deal with it and it’s really upsetting her. She feels sorry for running away from him just then. Outside, Vesna wakes up, and Tim says “You’ve missed heaps!” She asks where Kate is, and Tim, pausing for a good few seconds says “She’s….in the diary room.” He then says “I thought we agreed we were going to call her Hate?!”

3:39pm: Housemates are locked in the bedroom. BB tells them they are to pack their bags for an extended stay outside of the house. Cheers from most corners of the room. Rita says she is excited. BB tells them their time is up and everyone must go to the garden immediately. Mel yells out “Where do we go to the toilet?” Rita, Mel and Greg check out the outback loo. BB tells Melanie to come to the diary room. Vesna comes over to the toilet and says “You are fucking joking me?” Mel comes back with instructions on how to find the hidden treasure. Greg is very excited! They start in front of the storeroom with their compass. Dave walks north 5 steps, then west 7 steps. Ves says they should just hunt for it! Next instruction is 20 degrees 4 steps. Then they have to dig. Vesna says perhaps the line of the series “Surely they wouldn’t have buried it this deep. I mean, this is in Afghanistan or something?” Soon after they’ve found a box, but it’s locked and they now must find the key with new instructions. Tim starts out now to find the key. It starts pouring down. They quickly grab all the wood out of the rain. Tim says it was a good idea to get the wood. They start again with the instructions. Rita is digging away in the garden and she says she found it. Claps all round. They open the box to find damper and marshmellows etc.

5:15pm: Rita is reading instructions on how to start a fire. Mel says she wants to go to the toilet but says “Ewwww.” She tells the others to shutup as they laugh at her. Greg says someone should help her go. Kate decides to get her a towel, and Mel has a smile on her face again. Dave staers the fire. Mel gets on the toilet and has the towel over her head. They realise they don’t have toilet paper, and Kate runs off to get it. Back at the fire, Tim and Dave think they need to make the fire bigger. Rita asks Vesna, the chef, if they are going to fry the sausages. Rita says she might fry her own. Vesna yells “Rita we have to do everything together, we just can’t do everything seperate….We can;t do seperate stuff.” She walks away. Rita says it’s the same as people asking for different things for dinner inside. Vesna realy worked up now says “I don’t care, we’re doing everything together and if you don’t like it you can f*ck off.” Rita laughing now says they can do everything together, “It doesn’t matter.” Vesna says she can’t tolerate it, not out here. She says she can’t handle it anymore. BB cuts in to tell Vesna she can’t swear, and as a concequence, they must keep the fire alight until breakfast in the morning. Dave says easy. Greg comes over and gives Vesna a hug. She says she can’t handle it anymore “I want this and I want that!”. Rita yells out that she can hear everything she is saying. Ves says “Rita please….I’m going to have a nervous breakdown…in fact I think I just did.” Rita says she heard Mel before too. Ves says she can’t come over there because she is too angry. Later, she walks back over and says “I’m sorry for yelling at you Rita, I’m just frustrated.” Rita says this time she’s not saying OK. Rita says they don’t understand her. Mel butts in and says that when people want to talk about it to Rita, Rita closes off. Rita defends herself saying she doesn’t. There is about 4 of them who snap back at her “You do.” Rita says “Alright, all gang up on me.” Kate says none of them are meaning to gang up on her.

Vesna comes over and runs her back, and Rita says “Please don’t. I don’t want my back rubbed….but thankyou!” Rita says that they aren’t perfect either. Kate says she thinks it’s Rita’s way or the highway. Rita doesn’t agree. She says she would rather people talk directly. Mel says everytime she trys to talk or give advice to Rita she….Rita interrupts, saying that she has listened to everything Mel has said and she has lost respect for her. Mel says thats fine, be that way. Rita says she does listen to other people but they just don’t understand. Mel says that she should try to understand them. Rita says she does understand her. Mel is worked up, and Kate tells her to walk away. She does, Greg comforts her. Mel says she hates people like that. Back with Rita she says she doesn’t understand why she is upset when she hasn’t said one word against Mel. Rita says she is not stupid. She says to Kate that they don’t realise how wise she is. Back with Mel, who is with Christie, and Mel says she just isn’t going to speak to her anymore.

11:04pm: It’s started raining. They run for cover. Vesna stays in the rain, and Tim tells her to come in. Mel thinks it’s like BB is controlling the weather. Rita agrees. Vesna is still in the rain. Mel and Christie find a quiet place to lie down. Mel says she has already had her cry. Mel says she is cold and freezing. She says she doesn’t want to go to the toilet but it’s feral, and she doesn’t like this task. Christie says she doesn’t like it either but they have to try to find the fun side of it. Mel says she has tried, but she is not mad for camping, referring to her skin routine twice a day. The boys are on their own and start singing “Waltzing Matilda”. Dave says they shouldn’t sing the whole song, and Tim says “Oh ok, how embarassing.” They give a good portion of the song some air time.

1:18am: Time for bed, and Rita says goodnight. Over near the fire, Christie says “I’ve never slept in a bean bag…I mean a sleeping bag.” Greg can’t believe it. Dave says the wind is so still it’s not going to rain. Christie wonders what happens if it rains. Greg shows her how they can put the entire swag over them. She says “This is great. I love this.”
