BBUK: The End is nigh

Not long left for BB9

We’re into the final week of BB9, so time to bring you up to date:  (NOTE: Vids contain strong language)

WEEK 11

So Rex became Head of House - and the man described as miserable and selfish by some (well, by Mikey) had one mission for his role - to make the house fun!   With most of his housemates he achieved that, but still his relationship with girlfriend Nicole was far from fun, fun, fun, with barely a day passing by without an argument.

THRILLER

Another week, another task - and probably one dance task too far to be honest as the housemates recreate the Thriller video.   Head of House Nicole gave his girlfriend Nicole the role of Michael Jackson - judge for yourself how they did.

RECORD BREAKER!

Having been immune the first week and escaping the second, it was third week unlucky for Nicole as she was inevitably nominated for eviction, alongside Lisa and Sara - and then inevitably evicted, with 94% of the vote, a new BBUK record - and the second highest in the world ever.

WEEK 12

The penultimate week began with the brief return of Mario who made his second proposal of the series, this time though to his real life girlfriend Mario.  Unsurprisingly she said yes, and it was set to become a memorable week for Lisa.

NOMINATIONS - OR NOT!

The housemates are called to nominate on Monday but discover a twist - they’re not nominating to evict, but instead voting for the final Head of House - and therefore giving one person a place in the final.   All housemates get at least one vote each, but it’s Mohamed who comes out on top and gets a pass through to the final week.   Lucky Mo - or is it?

NOMINATIONS FACE OFF!

With the Head of House nominations out of the way, a couple of days later the housemates were surprised to discover they would nominate for one final time - and it would be face to face.   All series a clique of Darnell, Kat, Mohamed, Rachel and Rex had pretty much stuck together, and though it might have been a different story behind closed dorrs, face to face they weren’t going to nominate each other - so predictably targetted Lisa and Sara instead, putting them up for eviction.

However, they’d soon realise they’d be better off in Lisa or Sara’s shoes…

THE PRISONERS DILEMMA

Following their nominations Lisa and Sara are called to the task room - and discover they could win £50,000.   Each of them have two blocks - take or share.   If they opt for the take block and the others shares, whoever takes wins £50,000.    If they both share, they split the cash and win £25,000 - but if they both take they both get nothing.

It was a no brainer really, Lisa and Sara shared and whatever happened, they’d take away £25,000.

FIFTY-TWO POINT SIX PERCENT

It’s the closest eviction of the series, so close according to Davina that crisis talks over what would happen in a dead heat took place prior to the live show.   What would happen - well, we still don’t know.

In the end though despite reports the live show began with a 50/50 split, Sara gained support through the episode following an uncomfortable week for her at the ends of Darnell, and to a lesser extent Rex, meaning it was Lisa getting the boot - meaning in one week she got engaged, got £25,000 and got evicted!

THE END IS NIGH…

Seven housemates remain with just seven days to go, with two to get the chop on Tuesday before the final five discover their fate on Friday.   They are…

  • Darnell - so paranoid about how he’s being perceived on the outside world he’s screwed up any chance he had of winning, especially after calling Sara an “ugly bitch” and “slut” to her face earlier this week.
  • Kathreya - she started out strong, but the housemates and viewers soon saw through her “cookie love” gimmick.  However, those remaining in the house still think she’s the likely winner - so are in for a huge surprise if she makes the predicted early exit.
  • Mikey - for some people it’s simple - if he wasn’t blind, he wouldn’t be there.   The only housemate not to have faced eviction this series, Mikey is currently the favourite to win - and I’m afraid I can’t say he’d win on anything other than the blind card.
  • Mohamed - or “Greedy Mo” as he’s now known.   Nobody is quite sure how he got to the final week, and he’s expected to be first out in Tuesday’s surprise eviction.
  • Rachel - probably the most bland and insincere person on the planet, who having spent three months in the house still doesn’t seem to know the people she considers her best friends.   However, she does seem to have some sort of fan club and is in with a shot - but would be the worst winner in BB history if she succeeded.
  • Rex - love him or hate him, there is no denying he’s the most entertaining housemate of the series, and unlike the others Rex is Rex.   He hasn’t held anything back and there is no doubt the Rex we’ve seen in the house is the real Rex.   My personal choice to win - but he’s got to win a few more people over to triumph.
  • Sara - everyone knew it would be close last week, but nobody really expected Sara to stay and the Lisa to Win campaign had already started.    Sara has gained alot of support in the last week though, and alot of Lisa’s fans - and she really could shake up things, so perhaps Terri won’t be the last Australian to win Big Brother after all.

And finally, a clip from Monday’s show of Rex at his absolute best - and the moment he won alot of new fans:

BBUK chatter as always in the International Forum.
