Celeb BB race row takes new twist

Jade to be Indian HM - as Shilpa hosts!

In January 2007 Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty hit headlines around the world as Celebrity Big Brother UK descended into an international race row.

Jade, who finished fourth in BB3 UK, along with fellow housemates Danielle Lloyd and Jo O’Meera were accused of making racist comments regarding the Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Jade went on to be evicted in the most watched BBUK eviction of all time, while Shilpa claimed victory as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 5.

A year and a half later this story is about to take a new twist - Jade is set to become a housemate on the Indian version of Big Brother, Bigg Boss. The second series launches on Sunday and features 12 Indian “newsmakers” living in the house for three months.

As for Shilpa, well - she’s the host and will eventually come face to face with Jade in her eviction interview.
