We reflect on the season that was

As Big Brother comes to an end, we thought it would be nice to reflect on the year that was.

From April - July 2008, Behind Big Brother received over 800,000 unique visitors and went through a whopping 3,291.41GB (3.29TB) of bandwidth. Bandwidth almost tripled that of last year and unique visitors followed similar suit.

A huge thanks must go to our new hosting partner for 2008, COVE. COVE provided Behind Big Brother with an amazingly stable server (codenamed camera1 for those playing along at home), endless support and constant monitoring to ensure all things went smoothly and there were no unscheduled outages.

So, the question on a lot of people’s lips: where to for Behind Big Brother now?

As per our usual off-season plan, we’ll turn the site into a miniature version with less features than the full website, but will still publish the same news on all things Big Brother Australia. Our ever popular forums will remain, including the off-topic areas for general chit-chat.

Soon, Behind Big Brother’s sister site, Behind Idol, will re-open its doors for the 2008 Idol season. Behind Idol will provide the same high quality MP3 and video media as previous years, as well as news, rumours, and updates on all past and present Idols.

When (we’re hopeful) another network picks up the Big Brother franchise, you can bet your top dollar that Behind Big Brother will be back, too.
