Here are the figures for the last two days of BB08!
If you haven’t picked up on this already, remember that on a day-to-day basis, you need to look at how the show performs in the 18-49 age group, as that is Ten’s key audience. Overall numbers don’t matter so much, because it’s the 18-49 audience that TEN is pitching to advertisers. But for the sake of comparison, total people numbers are still included here. Audience breakdowns are not always available.
Where available, the ‘placing’ listed with each show refers to how it compared to the other commercial networks in that 18-49 age bracket, not total people.
Sunday - The final Eviction
Daily Show scores .871m (up from last week), with a third-place 30.8% of 18-49
Eviction scores 1.077m (up from last week), with a second-place 34.8% of 18-49
Monday - The Finale
The finale (7.00-8.54pm) scored 1.286m, with a first-place 41.6% of 18-49.
The winner announcement (8.54-9.35pm) scored 1.452m, with a first-place 42.8% of 18-49.
The finale is split into two ‘official’ parts for a couple of reasons - firstly, it acknowledges that their will be a fair number of viewers just tuning in for the announcement. Also, if both parts happen top score good numbers, TEN will have two well-placed shows in the top ten, rather than just one.
With that established, the main finale show came in at #10. By comparison, last year’s 1.58m and ranked #5.
The ‘Winner Announced’ portion this year reached #6. Last year’s, which you may recall ran overtime by about an hour, scored 1.9 million with 55.1% share of 18-49. Needless to say, that easily reached #1.
Certainly sums up the decaying numbers this season has seen overall hasn’t it?
