Bree on 9am

Any new secrets?

FNL host Bree appared on Ten’s 9am With Dave & Kim this morning to promote the show. Thanks to forum member BB-06 for this recap:

As if by psychic intuition I decided to wake up earlier this morning (I’m on holidays) and turn on Ten to watch 9am (neither of which I ever do) and the first thing they said was “Coming up next, we talk to Bree Amer about the new series of Big Brother”.

What was revealed? Nothing new. Bree kept her usual ‘Big Brother was good all the time’ line, which is more obvious than ever that she doesn’t really believe. She tried to say that this year BB would deliver on his promises without ripping on Noble. I think she ended up saying something like “See we’ve always picked on personality first and foremost, but this year we mean it”…yea, I know.

As usual she was enthusiastic about the show and, also as usual, Kim was being kind of passive aggressive about it but this never seemed to rile Bree like it did Gretel. Bree also gave away “secrets”…the same ones revealed by Lil Sis. She made a very distinct point of saying there was a new executive producer and confirmed that Virginia Hodgson is the first and foremost producer, therefore Callaghan must be assuming Tim Toni’s role. She said that having a female executive producers has resulted in big changes for the show.

She also shed some light on Big Mouth, saying it’s not necessarily for adult footage but “adult opinions” and smaller things that can’t be shown on the daily show. Kim had obviously been reading BBBA and tried to “guess” some of the secrets. When she picked the “one bed” secret, Bree’s face faltered so you can take that to the bank. She also brought up the mother and baby rumour and Bree kind of palmed her off but it was hard to tell if it were true.

She also brought up Cory and it seems that she doesn’t know of it’s true or not. She seemed genuine in this and not knowing where it came from or whether it was true.

That was more or less it. Not much revealed. Bree seems excited about the new series, but she seems to be excited over every series of Big Brother. I don’t for one second believe she’s as out of the loop as she was pretending though. I think she was told specific things to bring up and to act coy on anything that was brought up.
