No more Mr. Bad Guy?
BB to lay off the rules
Attention all those with an insatiable appetite for secret insider info – it’s feeding time!
Firstly, we’ve had a few things confirmed once again – Up Late is gone, Uncut is gone (sorry jumpy1), and the farmyard is gone.
Here’s what we haven’t heard before:
- Grocery shopping is gone. We’re not sure if this means just the BB shop is gone or the entire concept of HMs choosing their own food is out, but even this little thing is a big change.
- The punishment room is gone. After being one of the HMs’ favourite pastimes two years ago and barely seeing any use last year, it’s now completely out.
- There will be no fines & fewer rules. Does this mean BB will also interrupt less during nominations?
- Tasks will be simpler. Some of them were pretty simple anyway, but I suppose this is a good thing?
It’s those last three bullet points that provoke the most interest. It all seems to suggest that the tough, ‘mean’ BB is a thing of the past. This is something many vocal BB fans have been wanting for a long time. Less rules and simpler tasks imply that BB will not be as active in shaping the house dynamic and both the HMs’ and the viewer’s experiences. It means we’ll be able to focus more on the HMs and their personalities – sounds good to me!
Oh, and usual disclaimer – it’s all rumour ‘till we see it with our own eyes blahblahblahwhateverwhocares.
