Pilgrim was working in the subscription department for "Playboy" magazine when editor/publisher Hugh Hefner asked her to pose for a pictorial. Hefner choose the alias Janet Pilgrim as a spoof on puritanism. Moreover, Pilgrim's "girl next door" quality set the tone for future Playmates. Janet was the Playmate of the Month in the June, 1955 issue of "Playboy." She went on to become the Playmate of the Month in the December, 1955 and October, 1956 issues of "Playboy." Pilgrim holds the distinction of being one out of two Playmates of the Month to be a three-time centerfold in the magazine. Janet Pilgrim was listed at #83 in the 1999 "Playboy" newsstand special "Sex Stars of the Century."

She rose to fame in an instant as the winner of the third series Big Brother in 2003.

But since claiming the $250,000 prize and becoming an overnight celebrity, life has proved tough for Reggie Bird.

The mother-of-two appeared on Studio 10 on Friday morning where she spoke about going legally blind and how it has crippled her.

Talking with co-host Sarah Harris about her troubles, Reggie was asked about her poor sight.

'You poor bugger, you've lost your sight and are legally blind now which is why we had to give you a helping hand into the studio,' Harris said.

Poor Reggie. Such a sweetheart who suffered such incredibly bad luck in life. I hope her son can get a lung transplant. CF is a horrible illness, he won't live very long without new lungs. A friend of mine used to nurse CF patients. Some didn't even make it to 20.

DM is improving.
 
Somehow I must have missed that Tully put Lisa up to auditioning for Big Brother. Two of the worst housemates of all time, it says a lot about Alex's vision of the show that they were the kind of housemates that excited him.
