Vale: Colin Tarrant
Actor Colin Tarrant, best known for his role as Inspector Andrew Monroe in The Bill, has died, aged 59.
No details of his death were given, but the People reported he died in a suspected suicide and was found at his home in Bristol with knife wounds.
A statement released on behalf of his family said he died suddenly at Bristol Royal Infirmary on Thursday.
It added: “Since leaving (The Bill) he has triumphed on stage as Brian Clough in The Spirit Of The Man and had recently played John in the enormously successful stage production of Calendar Girls, and to which he would have returned this autumn.”
West End theatre producer David Pugh added: “Colin was a lovely man, he loved the theatre, his politics and his family, our hearts must go out to his son Juma, his partner Sabrina and their baby son Louis.”
Tarrant appeared in The Bill from 1990 – 2002. His other credits included Holby City, Heartbeat, Casualty, and Midsomer Murders.
Very sad. I used to be quite a big The Bill devotee, beck in his era.

Wow. Any official news on how?
p.s. I think she deserves her own thread.
I agree
Mental note to avoid all forms of media for the next week where there is a chance of that abominable "I will always love you" mehness shrieking forth to inflict violence upon my ear-drums.
Yet another crack-whore has predictably and deservedly worn out her flesh quicker than is usual and left it behind, nothing to see here, move on.
Correct thread for it though.

Well she wasn't just any old crack addict honey.
She gave us something, one of the most beautiful pure voices, and it's a damn shame we didn't get more.
Just watched her singing the national anthem when she was young and soooo gorgeous.
They say it's the best ever live outdoor renditions, personally I think Marvin Gaye's is gorgeous - see them both here.

Hope it wasn't drugs this time - for her daughter's sake.

First song when I got in the car this afternoon.
Quickly switched stations. It was on the other local station too, lol.
