i have to do some more research into it but i think i would like to follow the teachings of socialism.

I am putting it down to exhaustion Affable. Nobody has any energy to question the way they did a few weeks ago. Also maybe giving mf some leeway as she is not based in Australia maybe? It's also too late to get her to do anything about it, so maybe its a case of choose your battles? Not sure.

I have no idea. I find it horrible that people act that way though. It does show their true colours which is a good thing. Might be a blessing as now I know who to put on ignore. :smuggrin:

Not only about mf though. There was someone else a few weeks ago based in Australia who said they chose not to vote either. Not a word from anyone on here.

Did i miss one?
For I certainly had something to say about the only other I am not voting person, = NO to me and i told her so

Now with MF @Isee has a point, not going to poke anymore, I just want the result, and all the nasty NO stuff to go away

Regarding MF - disappointing, but then I kind of think of MF as German now, just too distant to care about Aus.

But, none of this is relevant here.....
If the vote happens to be NO........WTF do we do?

I agree with you. My post wasn't about you so don't worry. I was referring to some other people who were having a go at me. I didn't find you to be bad at all and I don't consider you to be an idiot.

I just want all the nasty stuff to go away. No matter in which direction it comes from. I hope on Wednesday, we get a result and all the nastiness stops (even though this is unlikely to happen).

Shorten will probably do something if he wins the next election if the vote is no.

I think I am really missing the savageness of the argument over here. To me it just seems super contentious in Australia for no good reason. I guess I’m not a huge fan of marriage anyway and you are probably right that I am living somewhere where it is already legal. I took myself off the electoral role for the time being because I kept getting fines for not voting.
I’m not completely sure of the status here but I am pretty sure your defacto can be the same gender. Whether you can actually get married I’m not sure. But I do know that the changes happened about a year/six months ago with WAY kess viciousness in the media. They just changed the law and - finish.
